opening your eyes you found yourself on a bed with two doctors checking on you the you heard a voice.
???: it didn't take you that long to wake up.
y/n: i survived?
you looked to the man who spoke to you and asked him with a tired look on your face.
y/n: who are you? where am I?
???: my name is Ocelot and you are in our mother base we are the diamond dogs.
y/n: Diamond Dogs?....wait where is my team? Where are they?
ocelot: calm down kid they are okay they are in better shape than you are.
y/n: what do you mean?
ocelot: you don't remember you lost your legs in that fight.
y/n: My..l...legs.
looking down you saw that your legs were gone then after a moment you remembered what had happened, you, the fight, and those things.
ocelot: hey don't worry kid we made you something.
after he said that two men came to the room with bionic legs.
Ocelot: the boss saw something in you, and he thinks you will be great as one of us, come on try them, you will need some time to get used to them...you know you're so calm for someone who lost both of his legs.
Y/N: it does not matter it's not like they will grow back if I cry.
Ocelot: you keep moving despite that... I like that maybe that's why Snake brought you.
then you tried to get up yourself before two nurses helped you up, and then the two soldiers that brought the legs attached them to you.
Ocelot: come on try to move them.
you took a deep breath before you stared at the two bionic legs and tried to move them, and after a couple of minutes of concentrating you made a small move, the two nurses smiled when they saw that you moved them even slightly.
blond nurse: you're doing good sir.
brunet nurse: she's right just keep that spirit and you will be able to move in three weeks.
Y/N: okay now I work with you on two conditions, I go on a mission with my team, and it does not involve killing the other side, I'm not gonna shoot my own but I will shoot whoever behind that abomination.
Ocelot: glad to hear that, you and your team will be paid when you start going out on missions, you will have contact with your families but a small one we don't want to attract unwanted attention, deal?
Y/N: deal.
after two weeks:
Snake's POV:
after two weeks you were so used to your new legs that you are able to run and kick and do flips with ease and more efficiently. Snake and Ocelot were watching you and your team training together from a platform above the training grounds.
Snake: so he's up...good keep on training him, he will make a great soldier for our missions, trust me he's a good fighter.
Ocelot: he took down two skulls with himself, and his team took the rest, and look at their test results, those are very good, do you think they are one of those kids that they trained them from when they were kids?
Snake: maybe...I will leave that to you to figure out...so let's go Miller is waiting to be rescued.
Your POV:
Leo: I can't wait to go back to the battlefield...we're getting paid a lot better and our families are safe.
Dimitry: I miss my daughter, it's been a long since I was her.
Lev: you're the only one of us who's married, I wish I had a wife who's waiting for me.
Leo: you can't get a wife with that face.
Lev; we have the same face, we're twins stupid.
Leo: I know that's why I'm telling you.
Dimitry: what about you Y/N, any plans for making a family?
Y/N: I don't know but I want that...nothing's more important than family, but I need to find a woman who can handle me.
Ocelot: Diamond Dog! you have a mission, the four of you will be going to destroy or retrieve three armor vehicles, and a highly valuable target, those four will be useful to us, you will be provided with the location of where you should leave them, our choppers with carry them out to our mother base, we don't have many pilots on the moment so you be with us for this mission, you will be dropped then you will be on your own...this mission might take a day or two, and as we promised you would get weapons with stun bullets.
Y/N: good we will go at night, rest for now.
after that you and your team went to your room, as you lay on your bed you looked at the ceiling, the old memories of your battles filled your head, as you were getting deeper and deeper into them you were pulled out by the voices of your friends that filled the room.
Leo: I saw that nurse that was in the medical bay, she's so beautiful, did you see how she took care of me when we were there?
Lev: yeah my nurse was beautiful too
Dimitry: it's good that I didn't stay there for too long.
Lev: you're a big guy, and you didn't get hurt as much as us
Leo: what about you Y/N how was your nurse?
Lev: he got two, lucky bastard.
Leo: two?! why did he get two?
Lev: because he lost his two legs.
Y/N: very funny Lev...come on go to sleep, we have a big mission tomorrow...and yeah this's an order.
after that the room went silent and everyone quickly fell asleep, you kept looking at the ceiling then at your new legs, before you closed your eyes and went to sleep.
tomorrow at 6:00 PM:
you and your team were getting ready, putting your gear on, Dimitry got his Juggernaut suit and a light machine gun.
while you got your armor and shield along with an assault rifle
while Leo and Lev had the same armor.
when you got into the chopper you sat next to Ocelot while your team sat on the chairs that on the side, snake was sitting in the opposite seat smoking a cigar.
Y/N: sorry I didn't have the chance to thank you for saving us...so thank you, Boss.
Snake: good I expect you to do your job, and live up to it.
Y/N: don't worry Boss, we have been through tougher missions.
Ocelot: your friend has briefed us with the details.
Leo: but we didn't tell about this one mission when we...
after an hour:
Ocelot: All alright you will be dropped here good luck Diamond Dogs!
Lev: I told you to shut up Leo, did you see how the boss looked at us?
Leo: me you were joining in too telling him details that I don't even remember.
Dimitry: Captain, should we get on the move?
Y/N: according to the map the outpost should be to the west, so let's get on the move, come on move out! move out!
you start walking to your target location Dimitry was walking off the front while you were behind him as for Lev and Leo one was covering the right and another was covering the left. After some more walking you arrived at a high ground and below you was the outpost, and the armored vehicles were there next to each other. You took your binoculars and started scouting the area.
Y/N: we have about 30 men down there, three machineguns, and two mortals, so here's the plan, Leo will go to the left side and Lev will go from the right, Dimitry will go from the front, but Dimitry will wait for my orders and when I give you the signal you start shooting, I will go from the back side, and with that, we will surround them from all sides, they might think that we are in large numbers if we start taking them down so fast.
everyone started getting into the plane, you went from the rear side and when you got there, you informed the rest.
Y/N: I'm on my position, report.
Dimitry: in position standing by.
Leo: I'm on my side waiting for orders.
Lev: I'm at my position.
Y/N: Allright, Leo Lev get on the move, and go quiet.
Len: go quiet, Roger that.
and with that, you start moving taking down any soldier in your way, Leo disabled their communication between other outposts, and after taking down ten of them the three of you met in the middle.
Y/N: alright you're here.
Leo: I took down their communications.
Lev: we took down ten of them, we have twenty to go, hit someone is coming.
as you were talking while crouching a soldier came close to you and as soon as he spotted you Lev shot him, and when he did the silencer on his assault rifle broke alerted the rest.
Soviet Soldier: Gunfire!!!
Y/N: let's keep moving, Dimitry be ready we're going to push them to you.
then you let all out you start shooting all the soldiers pushing them forward, and you start taking them down one by one, the rest of the soldiers start retreating, to the front but they don't make much progress when they meet Dimitry he opens fire at them.
Soviet Soldier: juggernaut inbound! Go back and get into one of the Armored Vehicles. !
as he said that, three of the Armored Vehicles drove and stopped behind them, their smiles disappeared when the heard you speak.
Y/N: Drop your weapons and surrender.
time skip:
Y/N: Alpha is secured!
Leo: Beta is ours!
Lev: we got Charli!
Dimitry: Omega is ready to go
Y/N: we got the special one too, get inside one of the armors, and let's get going.
VIP: where are you taking me?!
Leo: don't worry we're going to have a party and they asked us to take you there.
Y/N: this is Gray Wolves we have the armor and VIP, and we are ready to evacuate.
Piolet: Roger that Gray Wolves, we will be there in five minutes.
Leo: good we're going home.
Lev: our first mission is a success!
Dimitry: I can't wait to go back and take a goodnight shower.
Y/N: yeah a shower will be nice...I think this is the start of our new life, there's no going back now...we are Diamond Dogs now.
