Chapter 4: Chapter 3 - Soaring Training!
The moment I got the letter and my dad left I did everything I could to pass this entrance exam, from running every day to doing bench presses. (They only made me realize how weak I am!!) I figured out I'm a good runner and surprisingly good at push-ups. But nothing else. Well, many things with my legs like squats I'm decent at.
I always hated running since it reminded me of running from my bullies. Now running and thinking back to that makes me chuckle. Running is so relaxing and calming! Until you run out of stamina. But I need to focus on my cardio and stamina in general. Those are the 2 things my quirks mainly use.
Wait are those 2 things the same thing? Stamina and Cardio? I should look it up...
One morning I woke up slowly. It was summer and the sun was already shining even though it was only 6 am. I groaned and slipped out the bed. I looked at my phone checking the weather and it said it'd be a clear sunny day till it'd get partly cloudy at 21:47. I grabbed my phone and headed into the bathroom.
I pulled my hair back with a headband. I put my head over the sink, splashing my face with water waking me up. "OH MY GOD! THAT'S COLD!" I shook my head like a dog to get the water off.
I brushed my hair putting it in its simple low ponytail. My hair was almost untamable and it quickly became messy. I frowned at my reflection. "That didn't take long."
I walk out of the bathroom closing the door behind me. Walking into my closet.
I grabbed a casual tight, white tank top. I grabbed a simple necklace. Some light blue shorts. Grabbing socks then finally my white shoes.
After a few minutes, I finished and was ready. Looking at myself in the mirror, I fixed a few strands of hair that just weren't right. Then I did a small spin.
Checking my phone it was already 6:24. I scowled and did one last spin before walking downstairs to the kitchen.
Making it to the kitchen. Molly, one of our maids, was already making a simple breakfast. "Oh good morning, Miss Koike."
"Just Koike, Molly."
"Oh, I could never!" She did a hand wave as to tell me softly. Never in a million years honey.
"So what did you make?"
"Just a simple breakfast."
"Such as..?" I walked over to her looking over her shoulder.
She was making a pancake. A bit off to the left of her on the counter was a small pile of pancakes. The counters were still shining. The marble had a small sparkle to it. There were a few more paintings on the walls. Some of nature and others of food. The foods were all fruits, berries, and melons.
I grabbed a plate from the cabinet. Before snatching a few pancakes and sitting at the dining table. The table felt so big when father wasn't there, or if no one was sitting there in general. The table was made of wood-stained gray.
The moment I finished the pancakes Molly grabbed the plate and put it in the sink. I smiled softly as I stood up. Waving goodbye to Molly and heading to the living room. Out the front door.
Walking down the street before slowly gaining pace, till I was running. I ran passing people, passing houses, buildings, trees, benches, etc.
Finally, I passed by a beach called Takoba Seaside Bay. This beach was never visited for it was filled with trash. It became polluted after people kept tossing their junk onto the beach and never picking it up. Or the beach would push more trash and garbage in the sand.
While I jogged by the beach I noticed a boy who kinda looked familiar. He had green hair, it was messy. He was wearing a simple outfit. A man who looked like he was in his 40-50s. He had messy blonde hair. A slim jaw and a frail-looking body. The boy seemed pathetic and small, reminding me of myself.
I slowed my pace as I passed by and I overheard a few words. Nothing of interest. Mainly the boy complained and was confused as to why he had to clean the beach. The man had a similar hair color to All Might, but many people had blonde hair. I shrugged as I passed by.
After 6 or so hours of running non-stop, I finally made it back to my house. I was covered in sweat! The summer heat wasn't helping with the run. I was panting but Molly was already there with a water bottle that had droplets of water off to the sides. It was obvious she had just grabbed it from the fridge.
I smiled and grabbed it from her, chugging it down. She laughed as I chugged it. I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand after finishing. I let out a deep sigh before taking a few deep breaths.
"Did anything interesting happen while I was gone?"
"No dear. Nothing of that sort happened. What about chu? Koike-chan?"
I shook my head as I held the bottle of water over my head getting every drop of that water into my mouth. "Only a boy and a man were at Takoba Seaside Bay. The man was telling the boy to clean the whole thing."
"Oh! Oh my!" Molly covered her mouth with 2 fingers and chuckled. She led me inside and the cool air of the house hit me hard.
Molly and I were talking for the rest of the day.
As days passed by I would run every day passing by Takoba Seaside Bay and watching the boy clean the beach for a minute before continuing my run.
This happened and carried on for 5 months straight. Every single day the beach was cleaner and cleaner. The boy was more and more lean. The muscles on his arms becoming more and more defined every day.
Until finally it was the day of the entrance exam...

Final Notes:
I wonder if you all understand I've been using the episode names and changing them to match Koike's story.
Right, I wasn't lying when I said Koike was not going to be the strongest. I find it too common of a pattern. No, I'm not going for the 'I'm not like other girls' type thing. It's just I want Koike to fit into the world, not be insanely overpowered or anything.
I got this idea from a fan fiction of Kny. I forgot where I got it, if I ever find it I will post it here! But they were just trying to act like a background character, and I was like what if they're the main character that acts like the background character? Then I was like I'm copying Eminence in the Shadow...
