Chapter 20: Hidden Quest (2)

Daniel looked at the cage unwillingly. He saw the pitiful little elf struggling hard to call for help. Her arms and legs were broken and her head was bleeding. It was shocking that she was still conscious.

"Hahaha!!" The humans in the campsite burst into laughter, the young elf's worthless struggles were a great source of entertainment for them. They could not be considered humans anymore. Daniel was ruthless to his enemies, but even he wouldn't dare do such things to a child.

Daniel, who was hiding behind the bushes for 15 minutes, kept observing the guards around the campsite. He checked the info on the guards.

[Bandit Camp Guard]

[Level: 160]

He checked the level of every single bandit, only to be shocked. They were all at or above level 160. He now knew why the elf council of Luminara didn't try to rescue the elf by themselves.

'Hmm… if I kill this group of bandits, their other comrades will surely try to take revenge on me…' Daniel knew how the bandits worked as he was once being chased by them. Although he easily managed to defeat the bandits from Greenwood city, these bandits were on another level. Even their camp guards were above level 160.

He couldn't imagine just how big their organisation was. He had to be cautious this time and leave no traces behind.

He quickly started forming a plan in his mind. He had to make a move before the sunset. He didn't want to attract ferocious beasts in the night time.

After thinking for 5 minutes straight, he finally came up with a decent idea. 'That's right! I just have to stealthily kill them.' he thought inside his mind. He tightly gripped the hilt of his greatsword, telling Lumi to buff him and cast a debuff on the enemies.

Lumi activated her buffs and soon, she cast the curse of misfortune on the bandits. Daniel got a few messages regarding the buffs and curses. Waving them off, he focused on his first target's actions.

As the bandit walked closer, Daniel jumped out of the bushes, instantly swinging his giant sword at the bandit's neck. The bandit could barely react but before he could do anything, his head flew off, dropping on the ground. Soon, his body fell lifeless on the ground as well.

Daniel quickly went behind another tall bush, not having any plans on getting caught. He sneakily walked closer to the bandits camp, just like a predator lurking predator.

A bandit came closer to the bush and turned around, looking at the camp. He was not worried in the slightest about anything before he suddenly got ambushed by Daniel.

Daniel covered his mouth shut with his left hand, and pushed him down on the ground, using his sword to swiftly pierce his throat. The bandit couldn't even cry as he instantly died.

A minute later, Daniel was even closer to the camp now. He had to finish as many bandits as possible before he was discovered. It was easier taking them on one by one instead of fighting them all at once.

He swiftly moved, trying not to make any sound. He was confident about being able to kill all the bandits because of his insane buffs and titles. He wouldn't even be able to kill a single one of these bandits if not for his titles granting him overpowered stats. With Lumi's buffs and his titles, he felt confident about taking a level 180 monster head on, let alone these mere level 160 bandits.

He was now hiding behind a pair of bandits who were looking in the opposite direction. They were unaware of what was happening behind their backs. Daniel gripped his sword and swung it with full force. The next moment, two heads were sent flying onto the ground, blood splattering all around.

"4 done, 11 more to go…" Daniel thought, worried about the Bandits finding him. He looked at Lumi, opening his mouth to command her. "Lumi, you have to assist me now…" he explained the detailed plan to her without leaving a single detail.

2 minutes was all it took for someone as intelligent as Lumi to understand the plan. She sneaked out of the bush and sneakily slid inside the first tent. She stared at the 2 men lying worriless on the ground.

A viscous smile formed on Lumi's face. She decided to play with these useless humans. She used her skill [Legend's Flame] on the eyes of the bandits. Soon, their eyes started burning, jolting them awake from their slumber. They tried to make a sound, feeling the immense burning sensation in their eyes, but to their dismay, they couldn't make a single sound.

"What is happening..?!!" The bandits screamed inside their minds. They couldn't even shed tears because their eyes were gone and their voices didn't come out.

Lumi's flame was unordinary. She had complete control over it, she could extinguish it and start it as she willed. She only burned the eyes of the Bandits and then extinguished the flame, sealing their larynx in order to stop them from alerting their comrades.

Lumi had a wicked grin plastered on her face, she was enjoying the show as the pair of bandits struggled to make a noise. Soon, they collapsed on the ground, their faces covered in blood.

Lumi was just as cruel as her master. Daniel would be proud of her if he knew how she killed the bandits. In her opinion, the bandits deserved a painful death because of what they did to the little elf.

"Nya~" she smirked, coming up with ways of torturing the remaining foes.

Meanwhile, Daniel was doing his own job. He noticed the bandits panicking upon finding the corpses of their comrades. He heard them shout.

"Enemy attack! Prepare yourselves! The enemy must be hiding here somewhere!" The camp leader was in a state of great panic. Despite being at level 170, he was still shocked by the sight of the dead bodies of his trusted comrades.

"Avenge our friends! Kill the intruder!" Shouted the camp leader. The bandits all went on guard, preparing their weapons.

Amidst the chaos, the little young elf was lying unconscious inside the cage. Her cute face was to die for. Her jade-like skin wasn't second to anyone but the goddesses.
