Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Time to train !

To be honest, if it were up to him he would go to Beacon as quickly as possible to meet the main characters and take in the main story but things were a little different.

As much as he wants to, he can't let his desires take over. He remained silent lying on the bed deep in thought before finally deciding not to go to Beacon for the moment.

There were several variables he had to take into account if he wanted to maximize his chances of survival.

The first being its current condition. Even if by chance he managed to come out alive from his fight against the Ursa thanks to the appearance of the cinquedea and the intervention of Tai he was perfectly aware that he had no real experience in combat and therefore go as this in a school specializing in fighting against monsters...

well let's just say that he didn't want to be a second Jaune

Another reason is that he didn't know if he was the only one in this world or if other players were there too. If that was the case and they also watched Rwby they would probably think like him and go to Beacon and the thing is he doesn't know if he will be able to compete against another player if he were to fight given that even though he was really lucky to have one of the best bosses in the game, the latter didn't really seem willing to cooperate at the moment.

With this in mind the most logical decision for him at this time was to train and increase his bond with maliketh if possible. Only this will allow him to increase his chances of survival.

Without realizing it, he ended up falling asleep, still tired from everything that had happened.

When he opened his eyes he didn't remember when he had fallen asleep or how long he slept, the only thing he noticed was that the sun was high in the sky, yet when he entered the room the sun was starting to set.

'I must have really been tired...'

Suddenly he heard noises coming from outside. he got up and looked out the window to see Tai in front of the house, practicing hand-to-hand combat and Zwei sitting nearby watching him.

Seeing this a smile appeared on his face. He had just found a good training opportunity.

Tai was punching and kicking the air when he saw Jasper coming out of the house.

" Slept well ?"

"Yeah, I really needed it!....You're training I see."

"Yeah, as a hunter and professor at Signal Academy I have to keep a certain physical shape."

"That makes sense…can I ask you something?"

"Sure, tell me."

"I know you've already done a lot for me but I wanted to know if you would agree to train me?"

Hearing Jasper's request Tai raised a surprised eyebrow.

"Why do you want me to train you?"

"You welcomed me into your home and I am once again grateful to you but I would like to explore Remnant but it is not without danger as you could see with the ursa where I almost died. It's that's why I would like you to train me so that I don't die after 30 seconds out there."

Tai remained silent for a moment before rushing straight towards Jasper throwing a punch at his face which the latter barely dodged with a look of surprise on his face.

Tai didn't stop there and spun around before throwing a kick that Jasper blocked with his right arm but when the blow connected his whole body shook at the impact.

Tai launched a barrage of attacks that Jasper either took or desperately tried to block.

Jasper tried to go on the offensive and threw a punch at Tai who effortlessly dodged it before sweeping him off the ground with a kick to his legs.

Jasper lost his balance and started to fall backwards but was caught by Tai who grabbed him by the arm with a smirk on his face.

"It seems that we have quite a bit of work from what I see...."

"I didn't expect you to attack without warning."

"Do you think the grimms will wait until you're ready before attacking you?"

"Yeah.....you have a point."

Tai helped Jasper up before speaking.

"If you want to have a chance of surviving out there you will have to start by strengthening yourself physically, I will teach you what I know in combat and will help you to master your aura so that you can use it in the best way in fight."

Jasper nodded, he knew he had to go through this if he wanted to increase his chances of survival.

"Very well, where do we start!" he said, excited at the idea of training.

Tai passed by him, motioning for him to wait, and headed towards the house. After a few minutes Tai came back with two things in his hands.

In his right hand he held a notebook and a pair of bracelets with some sort of mechanism on them.

" What is that ?" Jasper asked, intrigued by what Tai had just brought back.

"This is my notebook in which I write down all my combat techniques and observations that I have done since I entered Beacon Academy, I think it will be useful to you." He said while giving the notebook to jasper.

"Since I have to leave for Signal, that should help you in the meantime."

"Thank you Tai...and what are these bracelets for exactly?"

"Give me your arms."

Jasper held out his arms and Tai put the bracelets on both of them. One had a black mechanism and the other had a white mechanism.

"There you go! This will help strengthen your body!"

Jasper raised an eyebrow at the bacelet on her arms and asked.

"How exactly is this supposed to help me?"

Tai approached and activated the two mechanisms on each arm. Suddenly Jasper felt an immense weight in his arms and fell to his knees on the ground, unable to lift his arms from the ground as if a car had fallen on him.

"What….What the hell is that!"

Tai let out a laugh before answering him.

"These are bracelets infused with gravity dust. I used them when I was younger to entangle my body and now they will help you like they did for me." He said with a big smile on his face.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have lessons to go give!"

He turned around and started to leave.

" Wai....Wait how am I supposed to move my arms are completely blocked?"

Tai didn't answer and continued on his way while waving his hand goodbye.

"Hey! Come back here, don't act like you didn't hear me, asshole!"
