Chapter 2: Iske Grace
Waking up this time was not that difficult, there were two motives behind it, because I was not exactly sleeping, and because I was so happy that I was not dead that I immediately got up.
As I opened my eyes, I found myself in a strange and unfamiliar room, completely naked. The room reeked of sweat, and the bed was in disarray—a real mess. Suddenly, memories of last night flooded my mind, causing an irritating headache.
I'm not dead?
I'm pretty sure that I saw a fucking truck hitting my side on the bus, there's no way that I didn't died, and this doesn't seem like a hospital room.
I looked around trying to find the switch to turn on the light, but it was a challenge. For some reason I'm dizzy and my legs feel weak. I supported myself on the wall and started walking through the room until eventually I found the switch.
Turning on the switch I discovered that not only the bed was a mess, but the entire room as well, the sheet's on the floor together with a pillow, near it I found some pants and quickly wore them.
I passed my eyes scanning the room. It was a simple hotel room, a window, a double bed, a bathroom, a mirror, then I saw a bedside table, which had nothing worth seeing on itself, but on the table there was a small letter, I approached it and grabbed it, and only saw a single phrase.

V…? Who's that? What's going on.
I quickly turned around to leave this place, but as I turned I saw a mirror, which was fine, I noticed it before, but earlier I couldn't see my reflection on it, because it was not pointed at me, but now, I'm in front of the mirror, and I'm seeing something impossible.
The face staring back was not familiar to me.
Jet black hair, a white complexion that reminds me of a ghost, two deep crimson eyes, wearing a strange red earring, and a very deep scar that crosses his chest.
What the fuck?
I slapped myself trying to see if I was dreaming, but unfortunately I was not, I felt the pain and I saw the person in the mirror doing the same action as me. In the same instant I searched the pockets of my pants trying to find anything that could lead to the identity of this person.
But there was nothing, then I started searching the whole room, and after a few minutes I found a wallet below the bed, I opened it and found an ID card, a very strange ID card it was much more technological than any that I've ever seen, and the first few words in the ID left me in shock.

Ascender… Don't tell me.
I continued to read the rest of the information with a suspicion in my mind, which was too unreal to be happening, but after reading it all, it turned out to be true.
Iske Grace, Age: 18, Status: revoked.
Iske Grace, it's the name of one of the minor villains of Tales of Outer Worlds… I can't believe it.
I once again approached the mirror and looked very carefully at my features, and I couldn't help but accept the reality.
I transmigrated in the body of a villain I read about in a novel… This is so ridiculous, I read some novels where readers would reincarnate or transmigrate into the novel or something like that, but never expected it to happen with me.
"I guess no one ever expected it to happen in those novels as well"
Wow, even my voice is different, this is strange, it's more… Charming? Can't put it into words.
I'm in Tales of Outer Worlds, that's quite very bad right? That damn author, when he asked if I wanted to change the ending, I thought he meant he would give me the rights to rewrite the ending for him, not for him to literally throw me inside the novel.
Talking about that, that Author, NwF, what he is, a god or something like that? Only a god could do such a thing, there's no way it's a coincidence, that he talked with me and told me those things instantly before I got hit by a truck and ended up in the world he created.
He sent me here to change the ending… Then I have a lot of things to do, and starting with my new identity.
Iske Grace, he was a minor villain in the novel who bothered the main character in the academy and ended up making a contract with a demon later on to gain more power to defeat the main character, only to be defeated and killed, and not even by the main character.
He was truly a pathetic character, I only remember him because I liked the scenes where he was humiliated by the main character and the rest of the cast.
But now I've become him… I'm feeling sorry for myself, let's remember the information I have about him.
He's of the same generation as the main character and is the youngest son of the leader of the Grace family, one of the three great families, but he was disinherited and had his powers sealed after killing a companion on a showmatch.
The person he killed was very famous, a young Ascender with a great talent and potential, Iske was judged and had his Mana Core sealed, which makes him as weak as a Mundane person.
Then he made a contract with one of the Hidden Demons and got his powers back, but he chose the wrong side and ended up killed.
I'm not in a good situation, currently my Mana Core is sealed which is essential to handle Mana, without it I won't be able to made any difference in the story overall, in the story Iske got rid of the seal thanks to a demon, but I can't use that method, I'll end up dead.
I'll need to find another method to recover my Mana Core, that's the first step, and I need to make sure to not get myself involved with that Hidden Demon.
Then I decided to think about the information I had about the novel, and search in my memories for any method for me to get rid of the seal of the Mana Core, but as I was searching and thinking about any possible solution, the door of the room was knocked.
I approached the door not knowing what to expect, opening it I saw a gentleman with a fine suit, wearing sunglasses, his hair was completely yellow, almost gold, he took off his glasses revealing two deep crimson eyes.
At the same moment I remembered such features described in the novel.
"Hello Iske, I hope you remember our deal" he says with a smile.
