Chapter 9: Team Training
(POV Josh)
After a pain of a report to Batman I and the team returned to the League where after that we separated.
I went back to Mount Justice while everyone else went with their individual teacher.
Except for Superboy who was taken for questioning to determine likely if He could be placed onto the team.
After leaving and coming back to the base I went to sleep and prepared for tomorrow's training.
Which came quicker than I enjoyed but did it nonetheless.
At the end of my rounds it was ten am I decided to take it easy today for what happened yesterday and began to walk to the kitchen with a towel over my back.
As I was going to start cooking I heard a familiar voice from the center of the base.
"Recognized 0'9 Martian Manhunter
Recognized 0'1 Batman
Recognized B-0'6 Miss Martian
Recognized B-0'7 SuperBoy"
After the computerized voice spoke I left for the main room in the center of the base being met with Batman and everyone.
Martian Manhunter introduced M'gann M'orzz as His niece. A girl with red hair and green skin wearing a female version of Her uncle's suit.
After introducing Her she said she'd like to be called M'gann which I didn't have a problem with.
Superboy stood crossing His arms oblivious to everything around Him. I was just happy He wasn't a slave anymore He even was wearing the classic SuperBoy T-shirt.
After our brief introductions, Batman left with Martian Manhunter. While the rest of us stood oddly still to stop this from happening I decided to start first.
"Hello I'm Shift but here you can call me Josh."
Megan was happy to meet the others who'd be on the same team with Her for the foreseeable future.
"Nice to meet you I'm M'gann!"
At that realization, she slapped Herself saying.
"Hello, Megan they already know that."
After Her outburst, She seemed to blush a bit and then we both looked to SuperBoy.
"SuperBoy."
Superboy said with a forced tone not caring at all and just wanted to get away.
Which He started to do but I stopped Him to give Him and M'gann a tour of the base.
SuperBoy didn't enjoy the tour but after the tour enjoyed the training I set him through.
He was hesitant at first saying things like He didn't need it and the like until I challenged His confidence and easily took Him down without powers.
At first, Superboy was angry but after an explanation of how he lost He understood and we continued training while M'gann trained Herself by lifting an object for a certain amount of time before releasing it.
Now time to really work it.
I started our fifth spar starting it with a kick to the side which SuperBoy countered with His left arm trying to grab me and keep me in place.
At this, I jumped back awaiting SuperBoy's counter which He did by charging towards me trying to fight me with His strength advantage.
At this attempt to grab me, I sidestepped and jabbed SuperBoy's side with a right jab.
"Gah"
At the hit, SuperBoy groaned from the hit and jumped back this time observing His opponent. I was impressed.
We both began a staring contest between each other until I myself grew impatient and ran for him aiming a kick to SuperBoy's leg.
SuperBoy this time dodged my kick and countered with his own punch to my side thankfully not at full strength that would've killed me.
SuperBoy was happy at the hit after five matches finally adding to his losing streak tallying the score to 4:1.
"Good job. Can't wait for next time."
SuperBoy was surprised that I wanted to stop. But unlike our superhuman friend here I needed to maintain a workout schedule to improve.
After dismissing SuperBoy I worked with the weights doing some training which caught His eye and so he decided to become my gym bro joining me on my lifts even though he'd beat me in this department.
After about ten more minutes I realized I hadn't eaten and needed to so I left the Gym finding Megan in the kitchen making some lunch or should I say brunch.
"Hey Josh want some Pancakes?"
At the sight, I thought I'd tremble cause on a singular plate held at least fifteen pancakes.
After staring at it my stomach grumbled and I wasn't the only one SuperBoy had followed me to the kitchen only realizing it was cause of His stomach.
It shouldn't be said but I'll say it I ate the pancakes and was currently on my back on the floor full to the brim of pancakes I must have been really fucking hungry.
"Ahh"
I wasn't the only one on the floor SuperBoy had his full of pancakes as well while M'gann simply looked worried.
"Oh Megan did I make too much?"
Suddenly I think a thought was transmitted from both mine and SuperBoy's mind where we uttered the same answer.
"No/Nope."

It's been a few days since M'gann and SuperBoy moved into the Mountain and I'd say we bonded well enough.
Especially in training both M'gann and Superboy were kind enough to help me train some of the Aliens I needed some practice with so In case like on what happened with Blockbuster didn't happen again at least without resulting in the enemy's mouth.
Besides that, they also should improve SuperBoy's thinking more on His feet without focusing on His strength and M'gann started becoming more Herself around us like She had a barrier to begin with.
Her training though was excellent with Her psychic abilities Her Physical training needs work like severely.
I'll make Her training a physical note.
Soon though after a few days of training in my workout clothes the others finally decided to join us.
"Recognized B-0'2 Robin
Recognized B-0'3 Aqua-Lad
Recognized B-0'4 Kid Flash"
Once they met with both SuperBoy and M'gan Kid really tried into wooing Her only for Her not to even notice the advances of Kids flirting.
After finding Kids attempts pointless I told Kid he'd be kicked off the team for misconduct which He in all honestly took negatively.
Anyway, I then went to focus on today's training exercise a game of Capture the Flag.
Everyone was confused until I explained the basis of the game leading to Kaldur asking the question of the day.
"But how is this training?"
I smiled and grabbed a black flag from the ground and explained.
"All of us will be separated into two teams. Team one will start with the flag and are in charge of protecting it while team two's job is to take it before the times up. Of course, if team one keeps the flag safe when time runs out then they are the winner."
Everyone seemed to understand until Robin asked His own question.
"How are the teams decided?"
I smirked at this and simply grabbed a hat I had earlier placed onto the ground with five sticks inside. Each colored differently on their ends. White was team one and black team two.
After begrudgingly waiting for someone to pull the first straw SuperBoy chose first drawing black.
After Him, the others soon joined forming our own teams. It was for team White Miss Martian, Kid Flash, and Robin. While Aqua-Lad with SuperBoy and I.
Kid complained that it wasn't fate at first until he had realized He could probably impress M'gan or something.
And with that training began.
