Chapter 16: Completing the goblin quest.
"Ahhhhh!" Kim screamed in fear as he leaped down from the small hill, his legs absorbing the force which caused him to tumble on the ground violently.
Racing behind him were the goblins, each one landed on the ground and then began to surround him as they laughed.
He panicked -
Raising slowly from the ground, Kim looked around him, and not a single opportunity for him to escape was revealed for him to use.
He had no other choice but to fight back.
'Helix… please tell me you have a way for me to get out of this alive.' Kim whispered in his mouth as he reached inside his bag.

'Since whe- nah that doesn't matter… Give me whatever can help me right now.' Kim pulled out a small dagger, although it was blunt and looked old, but that was the best weapon he could afford.

From underneath his feet, a huge shock wave spread, clearing the goblins and sending some moving further away. Kim's eyes turned golden, and his body was covered in a golden aura that blazed like roaring flames.
"Ultimate standpoint…." Kim blurted out, observing the energy that had enveloped his arms, "I feel… different".

A grin formed on his face.
Gripping the bottom of his dagger tightly, Kim went low, his golden eyes now fixed on the goblins approaching him.
"Let's Level up!"

The first step he took propelled him so far to the front, he slammed into a goblin and went rolling helplessly on the ground. With a small push from his right hand, Kim bounced back to his feet.
"Ahhhhhhh!" He screamed ragefully as he sliced the goblin mid air with a powerful strike.
A single strike was all it took and the goblins body was split in half, leaving blood raining down on the ground.

The notification showed again.
Kim's eyes widened a bit when he saw the template, but in his current situation, he knew he had no time to look at his growth.
Two goblins, each holding a bow and arrow in their hands fired their weapon at Kim. Unable to tell, he grunted as the two wooden arrows pierced his back.
Simultaneously, three other goblins closed in, their wooden weapons raised high, indicating they were ready to strike.
Gbam!
Kim grabbed the head of a goblin with his hand. A crazy look on his face as he drove the dagger into the neck of the goblin.

'This is what it feels like'.
He gestured his hand into a blade and sent it straight into another goblin's eyes, his hand instantly crushing the skull of the goblin.

'This is what it feels like to have strength'.
Baam!
He booted a goblin, his foot stomping the goblins head multiple times on the floor as he grinned sinisterly.

'The power to oppose those and come out victorious regardless of the numbers. A month ago I wouldn't dream of taking out a single goblin… and now….'

Kim caught the speeding arrow before it could damage his skin.
"Never again…. I'll never feel helpless again!!!".
With a huge amount of force, Kim sent the arrow speeding back at the goblin. Bull's eyes went right to the forehead of the goblin and it was sent falling to the ground.
And he kept going, killing as many goblins as possible, the more they came, the more violent he got.

Kim fell to the ground, seated on the ground with his back resting on a tree. He panted heavily, his body covered in green blood as he stared at the scattered bodies of the goblins he had killed.
'I…did it.' He thought to himself, barely able to catch his breath.
"Well well, would you look at that." Ceil appeared, "You managed to kill 15 goblins by yourself… that's impressive considering you haven't even gotten close to growing".
"Oh shut up." Kim responded, cleaning the blood on his face with the back of his hand. "Open up my stats".

"Wowwu, look at that." Ceil uttered with a smile from behind Kim.
'80? How many skill points do I get per level up?' Kim asked.

"Okay then… let me get it done." With that, Kim began sharing his points to his stats.

"I can see that." Kim sighed, slowly standing up from the floor. With the strength he had, he reached for his bag and pulled out a small blue glass bottle.
It was a medicine, most hunters carry it around to heal themselves to boost certain stats depending on the situation they were in.
Gulping down the liquid, Kim found himself fully healed and every injury he had collected from the battle with the goblins healed up.
"That feels better…." Kim massaged his arms, "Yo, Helix, what's next, I need to level up more".
