Chapter 3: Cold blooded
CHAPTER THREE
Alpha Jake
I ripped off his neck away from his body, and flung it to the pile of vampire corpses behind me, "Disgusting bunch of wastes." I stated with anger, my name is Jake Devon, the most dangerous Lycan Alpha in all the packs, including the werewolves packs.
People say I am cold blooded, unfeeling, and a lunatic. Am a killing machine without emotion. The fact that I haven't found my mate also added to my brutality. I have been punished by the moon goddess.
I have no hope of finding a mate and I am also a hybrid.
My mother is a vampire and my father is a werewolf. That is the reason why I am a half breed of both.
I also have supernatural powers like fire and water elements but I rarely use them because I am that formidable.
Am on a quest because some vampires invaded the northern part of my territory. I hate to admit this, but the more I rip their heads off, the more joy and satisfaction it gives me.
Simply put, I am a monster on the battlefield, a monster who derives joy in killing its victim. People tremble whenever my name is mentioned, my mother always calls me Devon, because my silver pair of eyes reminds her of my father.
My omega is also terrified of me because of my monstrous strength.
Nonetheless I still have a loyal subordinates who trust and obey my orders.
'Alpha Jake, some of them escaped.' My beta mind linked me.
'Track them all, I want no survivors Felix.' I grunted clearly annoyed.
'Yes Alpha' I disconnected the mind link.
I made my way back to the village center where the people hurdled themselves together because of fright.
I forgot to tell you, some parts of the kingdom have humans, and protecting them isn't easy because they are so weak.
'I really hate weak people always waiting for some kind of knight in shining armor, if not for mother, I wouldn't mind driving them out of here and into the city where they belong.
Though, aware of what we are, they still mingle with our kind.
There is a kingdom besides our Lion's claw pack, ruled by a slutty vampire named Asmodus, that horny bastard who has no regard for human life. He has been provoking me for a decade now, hiding himself in the shadows and playing his cards, a real cunning bastard.
Am so pissed right now, Asmodus keeps sending his minions over knowing fully well that I will kill them all without sparing any of their useless life.
The full moon will be out in a week's time, it's going to be mate's selection time, for all the men and women who have seen or changed into their wolf form, before that day.
Let's see if the moon goddess will relieve me of my loneliness.
The fact I don't have a mate irks me more, I just need some peace and to keep the little that remains of my sanity intact.
Nothing has been able to catch my interest, in each decade any lady who is willing to offer up their body, those women usually sign a life or death contract with me before entering my bed, because anyone who couldn't take it anymore dies while making out with me.
The Devon bloodline was cursed by a witch.
"Damn goddess Selene, I really hate you." All my life, I have never been happy.
Despite being a monster I treat my family well, I also respect my mother who is currently still the queen mother of the Lion's claw pack.
Mysterys surrounded hybrid lycanthropes like us, which you will get to understand later.
"Alpha Jake, thank you for saving us. I know we are a burden to your kingdom but you always rescue us" Alisha the white witch spoke, she is the mouth piece of the human and as a witch she is the only one capable of holding my gaze without fretting like the others.
"I don't need your appreciation, I just felt the need to spill some blood." I replied in my base deep voice that sent chills to people.
She chuckled lightly, "Jake you don't need to always see yourself as a monster, learn to accept the fact that you have a good part inside of you.
"I have no need for a sermon witch." I replied as I set the pile of vampire corpses ablaze, hee white eyes following my movements.
I left for the base of the lion's claw pack, since my omega mind linked me a few seconds ago.

"Prepare the ritual for the full moon. Liam, everything should go according to order." I told Liam the instant I stepped into the castle.
Mother is going to select me a Luna, mate or not.
A girl by name Clarissa, caught mother's interest and I know mother, she will keep to her word.
My whole aura was depressing and gloomy.
"Son you have to believe in my capability, I will find you a good Luna." Mother stepped down the grand staircase with a mug of tea. She dropped down the mug on the table to address me, when she found out my gloomy mood.
Mother has black raven hair, with a pair of forest green eyes, she looked to be in her thirties.
I only spared her a glance and kept striding forward.
She sips her tea as she sits on one of the castle Scottish cushions. She behaves like one from an ancient civilization.
"Why the long face?" Mother asked with a lifted brow.
"I would appreciate it if you stop preaching to me at this moment, I am really pissed enough as it is." I headed straight to my room to wash off the stinking scent of my victims off my clothes.
I disappeared into the distance after dissing her.
Mother sighed and shook her head and continued sipping her tea.
Soon enough, I sensed someone appeared around her.
Unfortunately, I was unable to detect it's scent.
