Chapter 20: Dread climbed up their spine.

Jake's POV

I walked together with Beta Felix, and Delta Alex as we made our way towards the gates.

Two minutes later, head Scout Alice joined us, with five other trained scout members.

There were a total of eight wolf protectors and three lycan at the gate.

My footsteps were unhurried and it seemed like the aura we emit are unrestrained.

I heightened my hearing and visual senses and perceived the perpetrators.

The rogues who dared to cross my territory were total of twenty in number. Four females and sixteen males.

One amongst them was very lanky, I am just a little larger in muscles and a little taller in height.

"Yo? The mighty Alpha finally took his precious time to see me?" The leader among them snickered.

"My territory, and you have the audacity to act so presumptiously?" There wasn't any evidence of playing around on my face.

"Forgot to introduce myself, Alpha Steve." He bowed dramatically, his pack members laughing at his mimicry.

"Disgustingly pathetic." I looked at him, with my deep murky red orbs. Inwardly evaluating his character. 'Clearly suicidal in nature.'

"I'v Head rumors that you are quite dangerous, and I've come to see for myself the Alpha that is more powerful than I." His words were laced with arrogance.

While he spoke, his members were smirking and they seemed quiet playful.

"I don't waste words with a man seeking the coffin, that's if I'm generous to grant you one." Luca seemed to be raging inside, he wants me to shift.

I don't even need to change into my lycan form to have a fight with that rogue Alpaha.

"I want access to the land allocated to the humans at the northern part of the Lion's Claw Pack." He Continued speaking, his gaze turned from playful to intense seriousness.

"I told you that our Alpha has denied you the access." Delta Alex spoke out, quite pissed.

"The people there also need that land, they are cultivating that land for their use and it's temporarily unavailable to be accessed by outsiders." Scout Alice added.

"We are not here to discuss terms with your pack, you either give it willingly or we take it by force." Alpha Steve stated.

Suddenly, I let out a monotonous laughter, sending dread down their spines.

"If you have the ability, you can try." I let out a dangerous smirk and my gaze turned into a deeper shade of red. The atmosphere suddenly became foggy, and I made my move.

They never know just what I am made of.

Ripping the necks of these tasteless souls wouldn't be that great.
