Inside the deep forest on the outskirts of the town, rapid footsteps echoed across the vicinity as five men spotting police uniforms, searched their surroundings vigilantly with their flashlights.

_This kid surely knows how to keep himself hidden._ Sergeant Quaye smiled wryly. They made their way into this deep forest with the hope of finding him and escorting him back home.

However, it's been thirty minutes since they left. But they've not seen his shadows not even talk of the whole person.

"Let's search for another ten minutes, regardless of the results, we'll head back to the station."

"Arrh!" A scream was heard as one of the police officers got swept down.

Hearing the scream, Sergeant Quaye turned back to the source as he illuminated the area with his flashlight, and the next moment, he was stunned.

Having realized his mistake by not reminding his men beforehand about the traps within the forest, he felt guilty.

"Be careful not to fall into the hunter's traps. Those things are deadly." Sergeant Quaye reminded his men.

"Yes sir!" They responded in unison.

Hunting has always been the major profession of the people living in the village. It could be said that all the men living in the village are hunters.

This is because, in their culture, the most basic thing that ensures one the qualifications in entering adulthood is to have experience in hunting or become a hunter.

It is like some form of passage of rite to them. Of course, that's in the case for only the males.

"Sergeant Quaye?" Upon closer inspection, He recognized the group with a single glance.

Even without them wearing police uniforms, he would have still recognized them for he was too familiar with the man walking in front of the group.

_But what is he doing here?_ Yebou thought. He was a bit confused because he didn't know the reason the sergeant would travel at this time of the night into the forest.

_Was the noise from them?_ He thought when he recalled the scream he had heard about ten minutes ago, he became skeptical.

Oblivious to Sergant Quaye and his men, another person was watching all their actions. They were indeed lucky the other person had no ill intentions towards them.
