Chapter 65: A Minor Issue with Transportation

Previously, she had aimed at the lower leg, but this time there was no need to aim. With a pang of heartache for the expense, she shot another arrow at the upper part of the ice block. This was all money, and she still hadn't found a fat sheep to reimburse her expenses. She could only hope that Mr. Bruce would return soon because she really couldn't afford such expenses.

The Bat Family trio had no idea about her inner thoughts. They only saw a flash of white light, and the killer croc that had been faintly visible before was completely gone.

In its place was an irregularly shaped ice block, three meters high and five meters wide, occupying the space where the enemy should have been. Only a blurry figure could be seen inside the translucent ice block.

The three of them took a deep breath, perhaps due to the cold, as the two shots had absorbed all the surrounding heat. After all, two shots had drained away all the surrounding heat. Theoretically, it could create temperatures below minus one hundred degrees celsius, but due to energy loss through chemical reactions and air dispersion, it remained around minus fifty degrees celsius.

"Alright, mission accomplished. I'm leaving." Thea said nonchalantly to the others, ready to turn around and leave, fearing that they would ask her to take them with her.

Taking Catwoman along wasn't a problem. They had flown back and forth several times. If Catwoman asked to come along, Thea wouldn't object. But Robin and Barbara were a bit troublesome. They had been fighting the killer croc for a while, and their bodies didn't smell very pleasant.

For Barbara, she might endure it for the sake of sisterhood, and she could take her along. But she absolutely couldn't stand Robin's odor. If they asked for help or anything, it would be uncomfortable for her whether she agreed or refused. So, using the tactic of "run when you can't hide," she decided to leave first!

"You come down first, and let's have a meeting." Catwoman quickly grabbed her.

Seeing that she couldn't escape, Thea could only obediently get off the Glider. The four of them found a spot farther from the ice block to hold their impromptu meeting.

"Shouldn't we go further away? What if he hears us?" Robin pointed at the ice block containing Killer Croc, directing his question to the group. Since he didn't understand the principle behind it, he focused on Thea.

"He's completely unconscious now and can't hear us, so don't worry," Barbara interjected before Thea could respond, shutting down her boyfriend's silly question with her usual brusque tone. At the same time, she thought to herself that he lacked too much basic knowledge. She would definitely enroll him in an adult education class later. If he could get a degree, it would be more presentable when they got married.

Although Barbara's blunt tone ended the conversation, Thea still nodded in agreement. "Barbara's right. He should be completely unaware now, especially with that thick layer of ice covering him. He won't be able to hear anything."

Robin felt a bit embarrassed. He felt He felt like he should be more useful but his poor performance was contrary to his intentions, and he could only smile awkwardly.

Seeing him remain silent, the women also didn't continue the conversation. Although they were discussing it, they didn't have a good solution for handling the ice block. The three members of the Bat-Family looked unconsciously towards Thea, as if to say, 'This is your mess, you have to deal with it, even if it makes you cry, right?'

Thea felt a bit overwhelmed. When she and Felicity had considered this weapon, they only thought about its power and duration, and maybe the cost. They never thought about how to handle the aftermath of such a result.

"Felicity, do you have any ideas?" At times like this, she could only turn to her little buddy for help.

Silence greeted her through the earpiece.

"Um, let's go find Commissioner Gordon and discuss this together." Catwoman finally suggested, breaking the silence with a somewhat reasonable idea. In truth, she didn't have any better ideas herself. It was just her way of shifting the responsibility.

Everyone thought it was a good idea and responded enthusiastically, throwing out excuses for their lack of ideas, like "Having an elder at home is like having a treasure." and "we need to utilize the initiative of the old comrade."

"You guys wait here while I go get him." Hearing the busy tone in the earpiece, they knew Felicity was calling someone. But just standing around wasn't a solution.

"While we wait for her to call him," Barbara said, "Would you like to spar with me, Miss Thea?"

The reactions of the group varied. Catwoman was eager to watch, Robin was concerned for his girlfriend, and Thea was simply bored. She was ready to take a nap in the grass. After all, her recent schedule had been sleeping during the day and fighting criminals at night. Being forcibly dragged to Gotham, she hadn't adjusted her biological clock yet.

But seeing Barbara's smug expression, Thea didn't bother wasting words with her. Knowing that using her weapons would be unfair, she discarded her bow and arrow and gestured for Barbara to come at her.

Seeing her discard her bow, both Barbara and Robin, who were preparing for a challenge, breathed a sigh of relief. There was no denying that Thea's high-tech arrows were almost unbeatable against ordinary people. Even Selina, with all her combat experience, could suffer greatly if caught unprepared. After all, this was the age of technology, not martial arts.

But Catwoman, who had sparred with Thea countless times, saw her throw away her weapon and her two teammates relax, she could only put on a smile, she could only smile and remain silent, indicating that she would just watch quietly without commenting.

Since Thea had given up such a significant advantage, Barbara readily discarded her belt—or rather, the whip disguised as a belt.

During their initial fight, Thea wasn't present and didn't see where Barbara had taken out the whip from, so seeing her opponent untie her belt was quite surprising. She almost blurted out "I surrender."

Realizing it was a false alarm, Thea's lethargy was scared away. She had originally planned to just pass the time, but now that Barbara was so determined, she had to go along with it. After all, if she was willing to loosen her belt, she could only oblige.

Empty-handed, she walked into the arena, both sides on guard, neither making the first move. Barbara gestured for Thea to attack first, which made her chuckle. 'You're already not my match, and you're letting me go first? I hope you won't lose too badly.'

"Watch out." Thea warned, as she threw a straight punch towards Barbara's face, drawing from the Wing Chun style. Barbara reacted instinctively, using her judo training to grab Thea's arm, readying herself to execute a swift throw.
