Chapter 9: Purple Sparks
After Bakugo's ability and Fulan's ability combined against the giant robot, the latter lost control of its body and became unable to move.
In this way, Fulan opened a path for himself, where he could safely pass beside huge robot. But all the students who were behind and around him began to take advantage of the opportunity and pass through the same place.
"Quickly Quickly! This is our chance!"
"We are really lucky!"
"First, he freed me from the ice, and now he has opened a path for us through the first obstacle. I think I will continue running after him."
Among these students was Midoriya Izuku, who followed Fulan and said while he was impressed by the teamwork done by Fulan and Bakugo;
"It was amazing teamwork!!"
Fulan turned to his right side to look at Midoriya, whose facial features indicated a feeling of joy. Before Fulan had the chance to say something, Midoriya added after reaching him;
"Bakugo's ability couldn't blow up that robot, but after you paralyzed the robot with electricity, Bakugo's ability became valuable, and because of the meeting of electrical waves with heat waves, that robot lost the ability to move its body!!"
Midoriya was speaking spontaneously, and Fulan had no idea what Midoriya was talking about, since he was bad enough at physics. That's why he smiled and said;
"I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I just thought that combining our power on that robot would make us blow it up or knock it down or something. Anyway, aren't you tired? How can you talk so fluently when the students are already starting to feel tired?"
Midoriya remained silent for a while after this question, then he looked at the track with determination, and increased his speed, saying after he passed Fulan;
"I've spent a long time training this body, this is nothing!"
Midoriya clearly had impressive physical fitness, without even needing to use his ability, he was normally running through the crowd of students and even outpacing them.
Fulan kept looking at Midoriya's back for a few seconds, thinking;
'No matter how much I look at him, he seems just a very ordinary person. The Ice Boy announced his desire to win against this boy named Midoriya, and from what happened in the past minutes, I see that the Ice Boy is really strong, perhaps on the same level as me. But what I didn't understand is what distinguishes this boy. Is Midoriya really strong?'
While Fulan was thinking about this, Kaminari came from his left side, panting and feeling tired. So much so that Gulan looked at Kaminari for a few seconds, and then the latter finally spoke;
"This..was..amazing..."
Kaminari fell silent again after uttering those words sporadically, all because he was feeling exhausted.
The students have now passed the first obstacle, which is the robotics obstacle, meaning that a third of the race has already finished. But some of them got very tired at the first obstacle as they fought a lot of small robots.
Fulan kept looking calmly at the tired Kaminari, who added after catching his breath;
"How can you... control the sparks of electricity... so smoothly?"
After hearing this question, Fulan became strangely interested to the point that he stopped running and the students started passing him, then he said;
"Is it possible that your ability is also electrical?"
Kaminari stopped running, and said after a drop of sweat rolled down his cheek;
"Yes, I'm like an electric container. I can store a charge and release it back."
When Fulan heard these words, his purple eyes shook and a lively smile appeared on his face, and he said;
"This is perfect! I have been holding back my ability the whole time, I cannot move at the speed of electricity for fear of triggering the students around me, but with someone like you, I can use my ability freely!"
Kaminari didn't understand why Fulan was feeling this enthusiasm, so he said:
"Hey, I don't understand what you're talking about exactly."
Fulan took Kaminari's hand and said as his purple hair began to shake slowly and his eyes glowed a light purple;
"I cannot move at the speed of electricity unless I unleash the full purple charge, as my body emits random purple sparks that can cause harm to everyone around me, and I cannot control or restrain these sparks..."
A light purple electric spark passed around Fulan's face and then immediately disappeared, emitting an electric sound. These sparks began to appear and disappear quickly, which made Kaminari say;
"Hey, do you want me to draw the purple charge into my body? What will I gain from helping you now?"
*ZAP!!!*
Electric purple sparks exploded at the spot where Kaminari and Fulan were standing, as his purple hair turned to become slightly spiky, which is the stage in which Fulan fully uses his first ability. "The Full purple charge."
All the students who were around moved away from them for fear of being touched by the electricity, and when commentator Yamada noticed this, he said;
"Something strange is happening at the back of the race! What is that purple light?!"
Kaminari was maintaining his composure even though Volan was holding his hand, which made Fulan say;
"As I expected, you are really capable of taking these sparks as if they were nothing. Your name is Kaminari, right? I can reach the finish line in seconds with this mode. I will drag you with me if you continue absorbing these purple sparks."
This is wasn't difficult for Kaminari, that's why he said while stuttering in his speech because of the electricity;
"It's okay! For me, this is like getting a delicious meal!"
