Chapter 33: Lake
Somewhere in the forest
"More!" Zhu Bajie raised her hand.
"We're almost out of food!" I said loudly to her.
It was night time, so we decided to rest here. But there was a problem.
"Great, thanks to bringing this fat pig along, we've emptied all the food reserves from Quan Yi Monastery," Wukong said, then drank water.
Zhu Bajie's appetite was terrifying. Even though she could endure hunger well, once she was hungry, she ate a lot.
Even Yu Long, a gourmet, couldn't match her.
I worried about my wallet...
"I-I'm sorry! I just didn't expect walking to be so tiring..." Zhu Bajie apologized.
"Only you thinks that," Wukong sneered.
"Shut up, you monkey!" Bajie retorted.
"What? Trying to pick a fight?"
"Do you think I'm afraid of you?"
Then the two started fighting. Wukong bit Bajie's leg, and Bajie grabbed Wukong's tail.
"They'll never get along..."
Wukong and Bajie hated each other; they always found fault with each other all day long.
And this fight was the sixth time today.
Yu Long yawned, then took out a small mat and went to sleep.
She wasn't afraid of mosquito bites because mosquitoes couldn't suck blood from people with skin harder than iron.
So, their target was always me.
"Damn it! I hate you all!!" I exclaimed angrily, trying to move as much as possible to avoid mosquitoes.
"Die!!" Wukong flicked Bajie's nose, making her nose bleed.
"You too!!!" Bajie grabbed Wukong's hair, causing tears to well up in her eyes.
Tonight is far from peaceful...

Everyone else is asleep, except for one person.
Yu Long.
She sits up, yawning, and looks around.
Tang Sanzang is tucked away in his sleeping bag, so he avoids mosquito bites, but unfortunately his face is still exposed, so the mosquitoes target him right on the cheeks.
Wukong and Bajie are sleeping in a chaotic mess
Wukong's limbs are constantly moving, so Bajie's face is constantly being hit by them.
Bajie, on the other hand, doesn't wear anything. (Nude)
Yu Long gets up to find something to eat.
Although she eats less than Bajie, her stomach is different.
Bajie can go two days without eating when she's full.
With her past of food scarcity, has developed a special technique that allows her to endure extreme hunger for a whole day. However, afterward, she feels twice as hungry.
Yu Long is a bit special, she doesn't feel hungry or full, so she can eat as much as she wants without worrying about her stomach.
The reason she wants to eat something in the middle of the journey can be summed up in a few words
She's bored.
She's so bored that she wants to eat something, even though she won't feel full or hungry afterward.
She starts wandering around, looking for something to eat.
If she sees ants, she'll pop them in her mouth right away.
If she sees sh*t, she won't eat it because her master warned her that it's disgusting.
Even though taste isn't crucial to her, her master's words are paramount. (Don't worry guys, she never eating sh*t before, this is not 2 girl 1 cup)
After wandering for a while, she realizes she's lost.
The forest is dark and eerie, especially since it's nighttime, so she doesn't know where to find everyone's resting place.
But she remains calm, or she simply doesn't care, because she has a nose.
Her sense of smell isn't as good as Wukong's, but it's still pretty good compared to other monsters.
However, while she was sniffing, she caught a whiff of something nearby.
"Lake?"
The scent of the lake had something very peculiar about it, which made her quite curious, but she decided not to go alone.
Because it's not fun to go alone; it's only enjoyable when she's with everyone else.
So she returned to the old spot, lay on the mat, and drifted off to sleep.
Her brain was quite simple and innocent.

"Lake."
"Lake?
"Lake."
"Why the heck you keep saying 'lake?' Are you brainrot?" Wukong said
"Last night I went alone, smelled the lake, it had a strange scent, I want everyone to explore it together," Yu Long said to everyone.
All three of us looked at each other, not knowing how to respond to Yu Long's statement.
While she might have a long lifespan, her consciousness is like that of a child.
Wukong sighed and waved her hand at Yu Long.
"Go with someone else, I'm not joining."
"Me too, it's kind of lame," Bajie added.
Then Yu Long looked at me, her expression seemingly indifferent, but upon closer inspection, her eyes were filled with hopeful anticipation that I would accompany her.
"Alright then..." I sighed, feeling helpless as I agreed to go with Yu Long.
'Come to think of it, this is the first time she's been so excited' I thought to myself.
That lake she smelled must have something special about it.
Wukong and Bajie, seeing this, followed along as well. While they might not enjoy exploring with Yu Long, if their master goes, they have no choice but to accompany her, as protecting their master is their top priority.
After a while, the group arrived at the lake.
"So... what's special about this?" Wukong asked, lazily resting her hands behind her head.
"Down there," Yu Long pointed beneath the lake.
"What's down there?" Bajie looked down at the lake but felt nothing special.
"Sister, why don't you try smelling it?" Yu Long suggested to Wukong.
Wukong complied and after a while of sniffing, her face showed surprise.
"What's special?" I asked.
"The scent of humans, many humans... and they're still alive."
"What?"
A underwater kingdom or something? Atlantis?
