Chapter 45: Chapter 42: Singularity
[J'onn POV]
It has been a few days since I met the being who claimed to be another alien refugee. At first I was quite worried that someone had found out who and what I was. But after finding out what he was, my fears disappeared. It was quite different, knowing there was another one out there. While Kal-el was also a refugee, he grew up here and he looks human. Me and Venom were different. We only change our forms to be among them. But in our base forms, we would be called monsters. And hearing that he has met Jor-el's essence, I understood he means no harm.
I allowed him to copy my abilities as it would not matter since he could already do some form of shape shifting. Mine only gave him control and finesse.
I must say his words regarding universes made me feel...insignificant, small. I knew the universe was big. But to realize a multiverse was an entirely different thing. I do not understand what this could mean in the long run just yet. But for now, I will have to put this at the back of my mind. This was too big for me to try and comprehend. For now, I will continue watching Kal-el from afar. But who knows what the future may bring.
[Ven POV]
After getting back home, I test out my shape shifting and make my human form change into Andrew Garfield. Then I switched to Tom Holland which was smaller in build. Then I start shifting the features to experiment. I first find a middle ground in between the two. Then I adjust as I wish to make it look similar to comic book Parker. I was trying to go for either Bagley or Romita Jr's version. Though with Holland and Garfield as the base, it was fairly easy to adjust to make it as I want. After making it into my ideal one, I adjusted the look to make it look younger and then older. After getting the looks I want, I make sure I memorize every detail before I revert back to Ven.
But before I was able to get back to figuring out my script, I see the news Bruce is watching in the living room. He just woke up and was about to go eat before going to the cave to start his patrols.
A huge black portal appeared above Central City.
This was the time Flash fought Reverse Flash when he wanted to go back to his own timeline and detective Eddie Thawne shot himself in the heart to erase Thawne from history. It was a heroic sacrifice but ultimately a temporary fix since there were several Thawne remnants or in between time travels that somehow survive one way or another. Thawne originally wanted to open the portal to travel back to the 25th century but Flash stopped him, or he tried before Eddie did his thing. But the portal didn't close so they had to try and stop it from devouring the city.
Before Bruce was able to get to the cave I stop him.
"Relax Bats, the Flash has this one covered. Go back to your meal. You'd be a better Batman if you had proper nourishment so don't skip out on meals."
"What makes you so sure he's got this?"
"He's got his own team of scientists. Don't worry about it."
"And how would you know that? I've tried investigating him but for some reason I can't find a lead. Even most CCTV records were scrubbed."
I thought for a bit and figured it out.
"That was probably Eobard Thawne covering his tracks."
"What kind of a name is Eobard?"
"The 25th Century Kind. He's from the future. Long story short, He came to this time to kill his nemesis, the Flash. But he screwed up because he altered the timeline so much that he can't get back because he lost his powers."
"A paradox?"
"Yep. He changed something that erased the Flash. So he had to create him again so he could later get his own powers to travel back in time and close the loop. He can't erase the flash without affecting his own timeline. So he's been keeping the Flash safe. Well, relatively safe enough for his plans."
"And let me guess, he's also one of those 'certain individuals you mentioned a while back?"
"Yep. So don't mind him for now. If it helps keep your mind at ease, I'll head there and be their back up incase something goes wrong."
"Future knowledge of yours?"
I nodded. Then I went out while he went back to his meal.

I flew to Central City wearing what I have dubbed my 'JLA look' *Cover image* and arrived in time to see the Flash in front of Star Labs discussing what to do.
I watched Flash run up and do his thing. A few seconds later, I see Dr. Stein and Ronnie fuse together. I can tell they plan to do the same as the show and un-merge in the center of the portal. However when I watched that show, I always wondered what actually happened to Ronnie. My assumption was that after they separated, Dr. Stein was dropped on this side and Ronnie might have been too close to the portal and got sucked in. That would imply that he appeared in either Earth 2 or the more likely, future time Thawne wanted to go back to and fell to his death.
So I figured this time, I'd keep an eye on them using my enhanced vision.
As they reach the center of the singularity, they begin to separate which then releases an outward burst of energy that was going to close the portal. But as that was happening, I speed up my thinking so everything goes in slow motion, I see Dr. Stein start to fall. At this point he was the only one Flash saw. He wasn't able to see Ronnie since he was exhausted running around the portal. Meanwhile I see Ronnie about to be sucked into the portal before it closes.
I take off Henry Cavil style and fly as fast as I could to reach Ronnie before he gets inside the portal.

[3rd Person POV]
Flash was running back down at the side of the building carrying Dr. Stein. He was exhausted running around the portal and from the fight with Reverse Flash. After dropping the doctor down, he thought Ronnie was gone because he didn't see him fall down.
As the rest of the team arrive to see Flash and Dr. Stein, they notice Ronnie wasn't there.
"I-I'm so sorry....."
That was all Barry could say as he hugged Caitlin to comfort her. But before she could let go of her emotions to cry, Cisco sees a man with a cape flying down carrying what looked like Ronnie.
"What the frak--?!"
They all turn to look up and see Venom floating down with Ronnie.
"Hey! Don't count me out just yet!" Ronnie said with a light chuckle as he was let down. Caitlin then ran to hug him in tears.
"Hi. Thanks for saving our friend." Barry said in a confused tone. "Sorry, who are you?"
"Name's Venom. Why don't we get inside your lab first so you can check if your plan succeeded yeah?"
"Right."
They all go inside then Cisco and Dr. Stein check their systems to make sure the singularity is closed and that their satellites aren't picking up any more readings.
After confirming that the singularity is gone, everyone finally relaxes. After finding out that Dr. Harrison Wells, the man who mentored most of them here was in fact Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash, and that he killed Barry's mom, they had to fight him and then had to close the singularity they opened. They lost Eddie Thawne and almost lost Ronnie Raymond. The felt such a huge relief that everything was finally over. They were ready to just drop down and rest for a bit.
That was until they remembered there was another person in the lab with them. They finally remembered the flying man who saved Ronnie.
