Chapter 90: A.I. Chip

The end of the battle against Arasbus and the high demonic horde brought pure thrill and happiness, which only increased with Vlad's canonization by the Plane Will as a World King's candidate.

However, once the excitement subsided and it was time to handle the battlefield's aftermath, a somber and sad aura enveloped the soldiers. The reason was simple: during the last clash, in which the soldiers had charged into the fray to fight the wounded demons, there had been casualties, eleven to be precise. 

Eleven deaths in a battle that claimed over six thousand demons were nothing short of miraculous and any leader would be thrilled by such an outcome. It would be a lie to say that Vlad was not pleased with how things turned out, but that did not mean he was unaffected by the loss of his soldiers.

With fewer than two hundred warriors fighting by his side, Vlad knew each one personally. They had dreams and hopes, but they were gone.
