Chapter 2: The Prospective Warrior
The sun shined so brightly on the 20th, yet it didn't stop the students from continuing with their sports activities. Since after the plaque, there has never been a day where the students didn't have something to celebrate.
But what happened to all the mutated beasts after the purple gem? The beast had run in the left direction from the Asura village, making the villagers who saw the beast run in the left direction call it the cursed wilderness. They watched as the beasts destroyed everything they passed while running into the cursed wilderness like mad dogs, no one dared go near the cursed wilderness. Residents of the Asura village were even advised to relocate. The same thing was told to all the villagers who stayed close to the cursed areas (areas where the beasts ran to).
21st-century humans are now powerful enough to fight the beasts since some of them have discovered their unique energy core and cultivated it. These people with a unique energy core are referred to as elite students in the community, and they are usually sent to the cursed wilderness for training. Rumor has it, that some beasts are seen in the inner part of some of the villages close to the cursed wilderness, so the students took extra precautions while camping at those villages before entering the cursed wilderness.
Fast forward to the present day, two teenage boys were seen on the field, one of the dudes was a blonde with melanin deficiency, he had some red spots on his face, his condition was called albinism, and it was totally normal nothing related to a virus or anything. This blonde albino boy was Marlow, Dan's best friend, and it was the both of them who sat on the field discussing
Today the school is preparing for our sports competition. I hope you've been training really hard, you know our team depends on you to beat the others Marlow said. Dan just smirked and fixed his gaze on the field.
The whistle was blown and all the students were out with their sportswear, all were anticipating how the day's sporty activities would look like. Some students were staking matches against each other, normally the senior students win when faced with the newbies. Dan and Marlow stood at the corner taking in some very cold ice creams watching them as they stake matches amongst themselves.
Frank was arrogant, but for some reason, the school authorities respected him, probably because of the many trophies he had won for the school. He likes picking on the juniors and enjoyed watching them suffer and beg for his forgiveness, if he is not being a bully, he is being a pain in the ass. He would challenge the juniors, win the challenge, and make fun of them. Today he decided to challenge a fellow senior whom he was angry with cause all the ladies wanted to be with him - Dan
It was crazy to think that Frank would ever speak to Dan, talk more of putting forward a challenge. Dan didn't like the energy Frank gave off, but he accepted the challenge anyway, just to give Frank a taste of shame. When he accepted the challenge, Marlow was damned mad. Because he wouldn't in his wildest dream imagine Dan winning Frank in a race. Frank was considered the best. Marlow cursed Dan for accepting the challenge.
(Frank) I like your confidence boy! He snuffed.
In less than 5 minutes the field was cleared for them. This was a must-watch match by the students, as it was a match between the famous athlete in school who had won many awards, and the handsome nerd who was the dream boyfriend of every girl. They liked to see how good this nerd could be in sprinting. People argued amongst themselves, some said without a doubt, that Frank would surely win. Others were not quick to judge because they couldn't possibly tell what the nerd had up his sleeves that made him accept the challenge in the first place. As the race began, Frank took off immediately, creating a huge gap between him and Dan. People cheered joyfully upon this sight but soon became dumbfounded when Dan all of a sudden exploded in speed.

They all began to shout, this means that Dan is most likely to have tapped into his energy core because the sudden explosion just now was by no means ordinary.
