Chapter 2: Violet Ross
The time is 2011, early January.
The location is Cheviot Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
In an apartment on one of the middle floors of the community, the sun shone through the curtains gaps on the girl sleeping soundlessly on the bed. The rays of the sun falling on the girl's face made her look like a sleeping angel.
Violet opened her eyes feeling the strong sunlight on her face. She sat up on the bed, feeling a little dizzy. After rubbing her eyes for a while, she felt a little refreshed and could focus properly. Looking at her surroundings, they are still the same.
She looked at the time on the clock, it was already past 8 am. She hurriedly stood up and went to the bathroom to get refreshed. She has to go to studio today.
Standing in front of the mirror, Violet looked at herself. The appearance is still the same as a week ago when she crossed over, although she looks more beautiful than before. There are no dark circles under her eyes and the beautiful blonde hair are also smooth now. The rough skin from a week ago has changed to a smooth and glowy one, due to proper care and mantaince.
Seeing such a beautiful and angelic appearence of herself, she nodded in satisfaction. The only good thing about her present self should be her appearance.
Although she was beautiful even before the crossing, but her orignal self was nowhere near the level of her current self.
Yes, she has crossed over. She,Violet Turner was originally a singer, song writer and music producer who became famous at quite a young age. The last thing she remembers about herself is the fact that she was involved in a car accident when she was going to studio to record her third music album. She doesn't know what happened after that, although it seems like she must've died considering the intensity of accident and her current situation.
She is currently in the body of a young girl with the same name as herself. The current year is 2011, which means she has traveled back in time. It seems absurd, but its true since she was experiencing it first hand. In the end, she had no choice but to accept her new identity as Violet Ross, a singer who recently signed a with a record label.
Violet Ross was in fact an actress, who started acting at the age of 9. As a child actor, she played many supporting roles and was even a member of Disney kids channel for a brief time period. She was a successful child actor.
Of course, the main credit goes to her appearance. She has a very beautiful appearence, and it helped her in many ways, from starting her career to helping her secure important supporting roles as a child actor in movies. After all, everyone likes cute and beautiful children.
The problem came when Violet started to transition toward the adult roles, because at that time, the same appearence became hindrance for her. She never had much acting skills, and her expressions were also blank most of the times.
At beginning, her lack of acting skills was covered by her beautiful face and her being a child, but this excuse didn't work as an adult. She couldn't get lead roles due to her lack of acting talent, and studios on the other hand, refused to cast her in supporting roles due to her overally beautifull appearence. After all, they don't want to divert the attention from the lead actors to a supporting role. The only option left for her was to act as a vase in commercial movies, but it also didn't work due to her being too young to play opposite to much older men.
In the end, when her career was on the verge of collapse, she was signed by a record label as a singer.In recent years, many successful teen singers have debuted successfully, and with the blockbuster debut of Justin Bieber last year, many labels from large to small have tried to copy the same formula by signing many young teen artists.
Violet was lucky, and with the help of her uncle who was also a part of the label, she was signed by "RedStar records", a small newly created subsidiary label of Universal Music group.
Coming out of her thoughts, Violet cheered herself and hurriedly took a shower and got refreshed. She doesn't know what the future of this girl would've been without her crossing over, but there is one she can be sure of, and that is the fact that she will never degenrate like the orignal self.
If she can succeed once in this dark industry, then she can do the same thing second time too, and even better. Of course, there is no gurantee of success, but its better to be positive rather than being suspicious and negative about oneself.
