Chapter 35: Chapter 29 School Arc (13)
Narrator POV
As Spider-Man's (Michael Wilson) let out a pained scream, a sudden burst of gunfire erupted from the direction of Thomas Halloway, drawing Jord's attention away from his captive. catching Jord's focus away from Spider-Man.
Surprised by the sudden gunfire, Jord released his grip on Spider-Man, allowing him to stagger away, trying to catch his breath and holding onto his injuries. "Aughhh!" Spider-Man cried out, feeling the pressure ease as Jord's grip loosened
Despite his pain and confusion, Spider-Man saw Thomas Halloway, his body is bloodied due to the punch back then, but despite his injuries, he stood tall, firing his gun with precision towards Jord.
"You Motherfcker!" Jord shouted in frustration amidst the gunfire, his anger evident as he used his Vibranium right hand to shield himself from the bullets.
Taking advantage of the situation, Thomas threw several smoke bombs towards Spider-Man (Michael Wilson)'s location. The smoke quickly spread, covering the area in thick darkness, providing Spider-Man a chance to escape.
As thick smoke filled the air, making it hard to see and breathe, Jord Hos coughed and choked, struggling to speak clearly amidst the situation. His words were muffled and difficult to hear over the gun noise.
You damn bastard," Jord spat out between coughs, his voice strained as he struggled to breathe in these thick smoke. Despite the darkness, he stayed sharp, using both his quick reflexes and the strong Vibranium arm to deflect the bullets coming his way. The bullets bounced harmlessly off the tough metal, but the smoke made his movements less precise, even though he remained alert.
Coughing and struggling to breathe, Spider-Man staggered towards the thick smoke, his body racked with pain and adrenaline. Inside his head, Michael Wilson ,The man beneath the mask, desperately called out to the Spider Man System.
System, I need a 2 health potion now (1 for me and 1 for Teacher Thomas)," Michael's voice pleaded urgently inside his head. As he fought to keep moving despite his heavily injured and broken body.
"Affirmative, Host," the AI system responded promptly, its voice a calming presence amidst the situation.
Summoning all the strength he had left, Michael pushed through the pain, even though he felt tired and frustrated. Tears filled his eyes, but he didn't give up. He has to make things right and defeat Jord.
With shaky hands, Michael Wilson opened the bottle of the health potion and wasted no time in gulping it down, feeling its healing effects course through his body almost instantly. "It's as if I don't have any injuries or broken bones. This potion is really amazing," he thought, Then his other hand grabbed another potion for Teacher Thomas, Michael placed his empty bottle down and With the health potion now secured in his left hand he is ready to go, Then Spider-Man swung using his Chi sense to sense Teacher Thomas and swung swiftly towards him. With a flick of his wrist, he shot out his organic web, grabbing and hold Thomas in his right hand and pulling him close. Together, they made a quick retreat, vanishing into the cover of smoke as they sought refuge from another room.
As Spider-Man and Thomas vanished into the thick smoke, Jord's anger boiled over. The smoke obscured his vision, adding to his anger and humiliation from being shot at by Thomas Halloway.
"Damn you old man!" Jord yelled, his voice echoing with anger in the room. He flailed his arms, attempting to clear the dense smoke obscuring his view. However, the fog persisted, frustrating him as it refused to vanish
Jord felt furious and humiliated. his fists clenched tightly, his body tight with anger. He couldn't let Spider-Man and Thomas escape. They made him a fool, and he needed to make them pay.
Meanwhile, after Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) and Thomas Halloway found refuge in another classroom, Spider-Man swiftly retrieved a health potion already in his left hand, not needing to get it through his inventory. With a steady hand, he extended the potion towards Thomas.
"Here, Mr. Thomas," Spider-Man said, offering the potion to the injured man.
Thomas looked at the potion in surprise, his eyes widening with curiosity. "What is this?" he asked, intrigued by the mysterious liquid.
Spider-Man explained without hesitation, his voice filled with urgency, "This is a potion that can help you recover from injuries, even if you have broken bones. As long as you're alive, it can heal you."
Thomas nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation he was in. After all, he was injured and battered due to the Vibranium-enhanced attack from Jord earlier. His bones were broken, and it was already a miracle that he could still move. Perhaps it was his past experience as a vigilante that allowed him to endure such pain and keep fighting.
Without further delay, he took the potion from Spider-Man's hand and drank it down, feeling its healing effects course through his body almost immediately. The pain began to subside, and his injuries started to mend, granting him a full recovery of strength and vitality. As the healing potion worked its magic, Thomas felt a surge of gratitude towards Spider-Man for providing him with such a lifeline in their desperate situation.
"Thank you, Spider-Man," Thomas said gratefully, his voice filled with appreciation as he felt the healing potion work its magic. "You're really a true superhero, even more than me."
Spider-Man felt deeply honored by Thomas's praise. After all, Thomas Halloway was a living legend, who had battled numerous villains during his Vigilante Days. "Thank you, Mr. Thomas," Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) replied, his voice touched by the recognition.
With Thomas now fully recovered from his injuries thanks to the healing potion, he turned to Spider-Man with serious expression, eager to hear their next move. "What's the plan, Spider-Man?" he asked his voice is calm
"Hmm,wait don't be surprised by what I'm about to do," Spider-Man said confidently. Then, as if by magic, he produced a variety of items seemingly out of thin air from his Spider-Man System: 30 smoke bombs, 20 throwing knives, 20 energy bars, and a grappling hook.
Thomas Halloway was amazed by Spider-Man's sudden ability to produce items seemingly out of nowhere. He couldn't help but wonder if Spider-Man had some kind of supernatural power similar to his own cape.
"Are you some kind of magician or sorcerer who can summon things out of thin air?" Thomas asked, his curiosity sparked by the mysterious display.
"Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) hesitated for a moment,then said. "Um, yeah, something like that , are you surprised?," he replied vaguely, keeping the true extent of his powers concealed. "
Thomas seemed to accept the explanation with a chuckle. "I'm used to it," he admitted. "I've faced supernatural beings like ghouls and even encountered a robot. And not to brag, but I have a cool cape that can make me fly."
Spider-Man nodded, feeling a sense of relief that Thomas didn't push for more details about his abilities. "Well, I already know about everything," Spider-Man thought to himself. "After all, I've read the comics about Thomas Halloway's story back in my own world."
Then after that Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) quickly thought of a plan to defeat Jord without endangering anyone else. "Okay, Mr. Thomas, here's the deal," he said, keeping it simple. "We gotta beat Jord fast and keep everyone safe."
Thomas nodded, ready to listen. "Got it. What's the plan?" he asked.
"First, we'll use smoke bombs to confuse Jord and hide our movements," Spider-Man explained, pointing to the smoke bombs he had. "While he's figuring out what's going on, I'll fight him head-on. You, Mr. Thomas, will help by throwing knives from a safe distance."
"So, what you're saying is we're just going to wing it and kick some ass?" Thomas asked, seeking confirmation in simpler terms.
"Yeah, that's the gist of it," Spider-Man replied, simplifying the plan for Thomas. "We'll improvise and beat him up. You throw knives, I punch and kick. Let's go!"
"We're so dead. Yeah, we're so dead," Thomas said with a sigh. "Let's do this."
Spider-Man thought to himself, "It's not like he can see me when it's filled with smoke, but me, on the other hand, can see him with my Chi sense. So, it's a valid plan." He reassured himself, confident in his ability to use his chi sense technique to gain the upper hand in the upcoming confrontation.
Meanwhile, after the smoke dissipated, Jord Hos emerged from the smoke, his eyes is filled with anger. "Once I find you two, you'll pay for it, Old Man, and little Spidey," he muttered under his breath as he began to search for Spider-Man and Thomas Halloway.
As Jord continued looking, he came across Brad Larson, Gall Morson, and Dale Dallas, along with a bunch of other students. They were all searching for their missing classmates. Then Jord smiled when he saw them.
