Chapter 80: 80 - Advantages

During the past week, Julian confirmed some advantages of feeding his blood to other creatures.

"I still can't believe it," Maximillian growled for the third time after they arrived at Julian's house much later.

"I'm so grateful you were there," Julian replied for the third time, snuggling closer and pressing a kiss to Maximillian's lips. "Thank you for picking me up, my love."

Maximillian wrapped one hand around Julian's wrist, his other cupping his mate's neck. "You were so brave," he murmured after their kiss ended. "But it could easily go wrong. I hope you won't have to put yourself in danger that way, ever again."

After all, alphas were generally stronger than omegas. A lot stronger.

Julian, seeing the worry etched on Maximillian's face, offered a coy smile and looped his arms around the alpha's neck. "Yes, I was beyond myself from fright. Without you, I don't know what I would've done."
