Chapter 3: The village of Berk
After almost an entire hour of walking about in the forest he broke through the treeline and saw Berk for the first time today. It looks as one would expect of the archipelago, mostly new houses but the same people as always.
The first stop on Odds stops in the village today is the great hall, build inside the mountain by the village probably the only structure that wasn't rebuild over and over again. He was awake for quite some time by now and still had not eaten breakfast after all.
After that is the smithy his arrows were starting to get worn out so he'd have to get a few new ones and if Hiccup happened to be there maybe stop for a short chat.
And last but certainly not least get some fish for dinner because he lost the only rabbit that ran into one of his traps today.
After the breakfast of hard bread and bland soup was done he made his way down to the forge to pick up his arrows, he had to commission them since most vikings would rather throw their axe or hammer than use an actual bow.
"Gobber are you in there?" Odd asks through the open door "I'm here to pick up my arrows"
Contrary to his expectations Hiccups head showed up above the counter. "Gobber said you might come to pick your arrows up Odd. No luck today with your traps or did you just forget to check them?"
"I forgot one trap that one time and its not gonna happen again, just had no luck today. Now are you gonna get my arrows or do I have to talk to gobber about your work ethic?" Odd lets out a smirk after saying that last time sombody complained about Hiccup he had to perform maintenance on all of gobber hands.
"No need for extreme actions just give me a second and I'll get them" With that he disappears into the smithy and comes back a minute or so later with the arrows "Here you go now if you could leave I still have swords to sharpen"
"Don't worry I won't tell Gobber that you tried to slack of" With that Oddlogs leaves to get the last thing for today done and goes to grab some fish for dinner and some extra for the timberjack incase he really had no luck with his traps.
With that done he makes his way back home to go on with his day mostly being focused on what to do with the dragon he came to care for.
