Chapter 2: Exodus from Gaia

Ethereal light danced around Ares as he materialized onto the main bridge of Olympus, the interdimensional vessel that the Ethaarans had called home for millennia. His presence emitted a soft, yellowish glow, giving him an otherworldly appearance that bordered between corporeal and ethereal. Cradled in his arms was a small infant, fully corporeal and wrapped snugly in a blanket.

"Do you truly intend to raise that half-human aboard this vessel?" Athena's fingers danced over a console adorned with glowing yellow and purple crystals, casting dazzling trails of light around her station.

"I trust you know what you're doing, Ares," Zeus's booming voice resonated from the center seat of the crystalline vessel. His throne-like seat, crafted from vibrant violet and golden crystals, exuded an air of command born not from earthly authority, but from the essence of the cosmos itself.

"This is the last remnant of Gaia," Ares explained solemnly, his gaze drifting down to the infant cradled in his arms. "In the next world, he will be our champion. The hero to unite the natives under our banner and reclaim dominion over the globe."

"Much like Hercules, Angelos, Perseus, and the others did for us on Gaia," Zeus conceded with a heavy sigh, his eyes reflecting the weight of centuries of loss and longing.

"We cannot predict how long it will take to sire new demi-Thaarans in our new home," Ares continued, making his way to a crystalline seat on the bridge. With each step, the vessel hummed softly, resonating with the ancient power of its inhabitants. "Drayvos will give us a head start in our new world."

"You planned this, didn't you, Ares?" Athena smirked, her gaze admiring his strategic prowess. "Quite wise on your part to plan so far ahead."

"Hephaestus!? Are we ready to depart Gaia once and for all?" Zeus asked from his throne, his voice echoing through the ethereal chambers of the Olympus as he spoke into the console system.

"Almost," the voice rang back from the engine room, its tones resonating with a metallic hum. "Once we have the final destination laid in from Poseidon's scouts, it will be a simple dimensional jump."

"Brother?" Zeus turned his attention to his navigator, his regal expression expectant.

"Course laid in, brother," Poseidon replied, his fingers dancing across the crystalline console before him, the holographic intergalactic map of the surrounding galaxies shimmering with celestial light. "I have confirmed what my scouts located—a class M planet, inhabited by a stone age race of sentient semi Avian-reptilians."

"Avian and Reptilians? Really?" Zeus grimaced, his disdain evident. "I hate reproducing by eggs… mammals have so much more fun when they procreate."

The pantheon on the bridge chuckled in agreement, their laughter tinged with a hint of melancholy as they contemplated their uncertain future on this new world.

In a distant galaxy, the magenta hues of an unfamiliar sky illuminated as if ignited by a celestial flame, casting a radiant beacon across the horizon, heralding the arrival of an otherworldly vessel to the planet below.

Perched atop a solitary mountain crowned with crimson foliage and azure ice, the interdimensional behemoth known as Olympus descended with an almost ceremonial grace, its massive form enveloping the summit in a shroud of dense, ethereal mist.

Far beneath, amidst the verdant fields, tranquil meadows, and shadowy recesses of rocky caves, a populace of reptilian humanoids adorned with feathers upon their heads, elbows, and shoulders cautiously emerged from their subterranean dwellings. Their demeanor, a blend of trepidation and curiosity, mirrored the collective sentiment as they beheld the extraterrestrial spectacle unfolding above.

From the veiled heights, concealed within thick layers of cloud, a luminous beam pierced the heavens, converging upon the heart of a humble village. In its wake swirling vortexes of energy, the Pantheon materialized and stood tall and regal.

The avian-reptilian inhabitants recoiled in fear as figures emerged from the mystical tempest, their presence exuding an aura of divine authority. Once human-like in form, the beings of the Pantheon now bore a striking resemblance to the creatures they had come to rule, their once-familiar features now adorned with scales of myriad hues and plumage reminiscent of the most resplendent rainbows.

Zeus stepped forward, his toga crackling with electricity as he wielded a lightning bolt akin to a king's scepter. His words echoed in an otherworldly tongue, a language foreign to the natives, yet his voice reverberated like thunder through the air.

The stone age people cowered, their eyes wide with fear as they gazed upon the imposing figures before them.

Suddenly, a spirited young boy named Drayvos, no older than eight years, dashed out from behind one of the figures adorned in gold and red armor. Drayvos lacked scales, claws, or feathers like the others; his skin was pale, and his head bore a mane of black hair.

With a determined voice, Drayvos called out to the villagers, gesturing for them to gather around him. All eyes turned to the boy as he made his plea. Spotting a hefty stone nearby, Drayvos attempted to lift it, but the boulder remained unmoved by his small frame.

Undeterred, he darted toward the figures at the center of the commotion and bowed deeply before them, offering his submission. The largest figure, wreathed in crackling lightning, reached out and touched the child. In an instant, Drayvos surged with newfound strength, effortlessly hoisting the boulder with a single hand.

A collective gasp swept through the village as the astonished villagers emerged from their hiding places, kneeling and bowing before their new deities.

The figures at the center of it all drew in deep breaths, savoring the essence of the adoration bestowed upon them by their newfound worshippers. The reptilian inhabitants had found new gods to revere.

Drayvos, once a young boy of remarkable promise, had grown into a towering figure of strength and nobility. He lived among the reptilian people as both a prince and a godly ambassador, revered for his Herculean physique and unmatched prowess. Though lacking in scales or feathers, his towering presence and formidable build set him apart from any other male in the land.

Standing at an imposing seven feet, three inches (221 cm), and boasting a muscular frame weighing three-hundred and thirty-five pounds (152 Kg), Drayvos was truly a behemoth among mortals. Despite the passage of countless years, he remained frozen in the prime of his youth, his tanned human skin a testament to his immortality. His unmatched physical prowess and unwavering courage propelled him to the status of hero and champion among the reptilian people, his name whispered in legends, myths, and tales throughout the land.

Yet, for all his strength and valor, Drayvos remained an enigma to the reptilian people. Born of divine lineage, he was forever marked as a being apart, a son of the Gods. Despite his outward splendor, he was cursed to walk a solitary path, forever destined to be an outsider, with no one to call his own.
