Chapter 39: chapter 31:a Silva sibling visit,dungeon exploration,and…black lace? part 3/3

-Cairn village,hotel-
All was quiet in the village of cairn and the sun was rising and rousing the villagers from their slumber,including a black haired teen in a hotel room.
*yawn*
Arata who just woke up jogging his memory of what he was to be doing today,and saw the eldest Silva sister sleeping soundly,'she looks like a doll when she's sleeping,but we got work to do.' Arata thought to himself as he walked over to the other side to wake his mission partner up.
"Nebra,cmon it's time to wake up we have a dungeon to explore and we need to eat and get ready."
Nebra who was now waking up sat up groggily as she saw Arata who was lightly shaking her awake."good morning Arata,do you know the time?"
"It's morning time nebra,we got time before we need to go dungeon diving,we should get dressed and ready to go."
Nebra who was now finally awake excused herself to used the bath,Arata understanding she would need her privacy went to the now opening market to get some food.
Soon after he came back he saw nebra in her underwear and with a blush to her face asked the now back Arata to close the door.
Soon as the door closed they both looked at each other.'Fuck this is awkward,gotta break the ice somehow.' Arata and nebra thought in unison before Arata spoke.
"So is that new underwear by chance?" Arata asks nebra who was blushing with a small smile," yes they are Arata,how did you know?"
"Well I helped out one of your maids when she was doing laundry during Noelle's training and that pair wasn't in the pile,but I have to admit…black lace looks stunning on your pale skin with a good contrast."
Nebra hearing Arata blushed even harder before regaining her composure,"thank you for the complement Arata,but now we should go."
Arata nodded at nebra who was now wearing her usual attire.
Soon they were outside the dungeon entrance while the civilians gathered at a safe distance."okay folks nebra and myself are about to go in the dungeon to explore,if you all could keep you distance please keep a close eye and get away if the entrance stars to shake!"
Nebra hearing Arata explaining to the villagers about safety nodded,'he may be young but he has good senses,I can see why Merleona wanted him.'
As they entered Arata speaks to nebra," miss nebra can you use your most magic to reveal hidden wire traps?"
Nebra nodded before opening her grimoire,and soon mist covered the corridor,revealing a series of wire traps,nebra now noticing the wires looked at Arata,"so how did you know there were wire traps?"
"It was a hunch that there were also wire based traps as well as mana based traps,so now that we know about these traps,I can cut the wires neutralizing the threats."
After hearing the explanation Arata summons lionheart and starts cutting the wires careful not to make them shake loose releasing whatever was hidden.
After an hour the duo came across three separate corridors with a small pillar in the center of the room.
As they walk up to the pillar which showed writing,"nebra I believe this is a trial,where only one path is correct,let me read the text and make the choice,I'd rather you not get hurt."
Nebra blushed a bit before nodding to arat and waited by a corner.
"A deadly trial of three with safety in between"
"And the paths lost in sight"
"Only when blood is spilt may you see the light"
"To sacrifice is to gain what you seek"
Reading the text out loud Arata gestured nebra back to him," so in order to find the right path a sacrifice with blood being spilt will lead the way" as Arata told nebra what he concludes a black razor sharp dagger of rock appeared on the small pillar.
Arat picked up the dagger,"nebra I'm going to cut my throat in order to find the path,don't worry I'll survive,but I'd rather you not watch,please turn around."
Nebra understood arata's worry and looked away and heard the gaggin sound and a gush of liquid,soon Arata got up and healed his body,and as he did a corridor lit up.
Nebra turned to see the corridor,and Arata please the dagger facing the way they came in before they both moved forward.
"Why did you place the dagger the way we came in?"
"I placed it there so if we need to get out quickly we can look at the dagger point as get out safely."
As nebra hear the explanation another door was placed before them.
The door made of pure iron had a giant engraving that showed teeth with enlarged canines that looked like they would rip flesh.
"Only when blood is covering the mouth will the door open…I need to manipulate my bloodsoul magic to make the teeth on the door for it to open."
As soon as Arata said this he placed his hand on the door and blood came out of his palm and was moving to cover the engraving,and as he did so nebra watched with baited breath.
*click*
Soon the two heard a lock opening and the door opened up revealing a mountain of gold and silver,and at the end of the room stood a coffin and a chair that looked like a throne.
Arata being cautious walked up to the coffin and opened it.
Inside the coffin was a skeleton which had fangs,and it was holding a note as well as a gun in its left hand.
Arata took the note from the skeletons hand and read the note.
"If you are reading this it means that I am dead and now have no ties to the world,so with this notion I'm giving all my wealth to you who fount the way to my remains,I only request you give me a proper burial so I may finally rest."
