Chapter 3: The Powers
Finally, his birthday came. With great expectations Gojo said to himself, " Let's see the powers I acquired. "
At first he didn't know what to do. Suddenly a sense of being electrified passed through his body. He fell unconscious.
Waking up he found himself on the bed, Sister Isabel sitting beside him on a chair.
" Are you alright ?", Isabel asked with a nervous voice.
Gojo sat up. Although he did not feel any pain throughout his body, he felt a bit dizzy and weak.
" Ah, please rest now. Don't try to get up yet."
said a panicked Isabel and grabbed him by his shoulder.
Gojo nodded and fell back on his pillow.
" I'll prepare something for you. " continued Isabel as she got up and moved towards the door.
Just as she opened the door Grisella rushed in.
" Is he okay. Will he be able to play with us ?"
she asked.
" Maybe later, now let him rest for sometime." replied Isabel as she dragged her and closed the door behind her.
Gojo was lost in his inner thoughts. Since he came to the orphanage he was called by many names. The sisters called him James while after learning he himself called him Gojo. The kids who teased him called him white monkey after his white hair.
It was only Grisella who called him Gojo. Sometimes she asked him why he called himself that to which he couldn't answer.
As he was lost in his thoughts, he saw something shine above his head. He looked up to see a blue screen shining in the air.
Written on the screen was the following:
Subject : Gojo Satoru
Age : 5
Race : Human
Powers :
Lapse blue : Level 1
Infinity : Level 1
Appraisal : Level 1
Master in hand to hand combat
Immeasurable cursed energy
" Ah, looks like I would have to level up to reach my full potential. Moreover appraisal will help me read my opponents. Though I will eventually acquire six eyes being more prepared will increase my chances of
viciory " Gojo thought to himself.
" I guess I will also a few abilities that are completely different from my past life abilities. "
He then fell asleep. He could not wait to test his powers.
Next day, he was standing on the lawn in font of the orphanage thinking of how to use his powers. That's when a group of children approached him. They were led by Victor who was the tallest amongst the children. He moved forward and said :
Hey white haired freak. What did you doing yesterday.
" What are you talking about ?" Gojo asked politely.
Victor with a large smile on his face said " So you trying to act ignorant, fine but we aren't blind. We saw you twist your body and fall to the ground suddenly as if something took over you. "
" Oh that, I only had a little fever yesterday. " replied Gojo smiling back at him.
This irked Victor yet he went on " Haha! Fever you say ? We all have had fever while we were living here. Our fevers lasted for at least two to three days. But I guess you are not just freak. You are built like a monkey. No you are complete monkey. "
This did not faze him one bit. He said " Ah right. I am healthier than all of you. How does it feel to be weaker than a monkey ?"
This enraged Victor. He grabbed a bucket full of water that was lying nearby and said
" How dare you monkey ? I think I have to teach you a lesson. Take this. ". He hurled the bucket towards Gojo.
Gojo stood firm as the bucket came near to his face and the water splashed. Both the bucket and the water came to a stop only a few inches from his face. I guess this is what level 1 infinity is like he thought to himself and looked back at Victor.
" See! You can't touch me. " He said and laughed.
" You freak " shouted Victor as he charged towards Gojo clenching his fists. He tried to punch him twice but failed only to be punched back thrice on his face. He fell on the ground his lips bleeding and started crying.
The bullies dispersed and but Gojo stood there.
This was his first victory in the new world.
