Chapter 8: Late system
"Ah, shit!" Noah cursed loudly, his voice dripping with pain as he immediately fell atop Gun.
It was just then that pain caused by the injuries came into action, his body jerked uncontrollably still grunting in pain.
"What the hell?" Gun who was below suddenly spoke, he was acting unconscious but after Noah fell atop his body he immediately opened his eyes.
He was shocked to see Noah who had been in control for a long time, suddenly grunting in pain.
Currently, Noah couldn't even reply as he jammed his teeth and tried his best to endure the pain without screaming.
[Host body has been injured substantially]
[Host needs rest to fully recover]
'Huh?' He let out with a confused expression visible on his face, he was sure he heard a female voice just now.
It was possible that he might have been hallucinating due to him being very tired but he believed it was the latter.
'Am I hallucinating or was that real' He pondered, his eyes brushed with a touch of confusion.
[You certainly are not hallucinating, I am your system created to aid you through this world]
Noah was perplexed, his face filled with shock but in his eyes was a flick of fire that danced excitedly.
He was confused but also excited by this message, he would have lived a comfortable life without it but now after attaining it, his life has become much easier.
'So why are you appearing only now? I could have died!' Noah yelled inwardly guessing the system could hear him, he didn't know that it was the system that had helped him out of his predicament.
[Some problems had occurred, making it only possible for me to appear 7 hours after the host revival]
'Oh?' Noah mused, his eyes opening in the realization that a day hadn't even passed since he had been brought into this new world.
[I was also the person who aided the host in solving his crisis which is why no reward was given]
"..." Noah felt embarrassed as he heard the proud voice of the system but he paused upon hearing the reward part, the system couldn't possibly be a quest system... Right?!
"Wait are you saying that I can get Quest and receive rewards upon completion?" His voice raised with excitement and anticipation as he stared blankly not focusing his gaze on anything but a fun future filled with adventure, little did he know that problems would occur along the way.
[Firstly there are two types of quests, main quest and side quest. Currently, only two main quests have been assigned to you while the side quests pop up at random]
[In your whole lifetime you may have only up to 7 side quests assigned to you due to their rarity, the rewards for completing them are also always generous.]
Listening to the explanation given by the system he understood that it didn't mainly focus on quests as he had thought, it was possible that he may not even get any side quests until his death.
'But wait... Can new main quests be added to the already existing ones?' He questioned, his mind ready to devour the necessary information.
[Yes new main quests can be added if it is deemed really important to the host by the system or by the system for the hosts' growth]
'That's good' He nodded his head in acknowledgement, his red eyes as intense as ever.
'What the hell, he's just been moving his head like a psycho for some time now' Gun mumbled, his eyes filled with curiosity and excitement.
