Chapter 34: Determining What Type Of Cybernetic Fighter He Would Be

"That sounds like a laziness problem," Hael said upon listening to her explanation of the disadvantages of the Warrior class.

To him, the case was an outright fusion of both classes, but people majorly ignored it due to it requiring four different areas of focus, making it harder to train compared to the two other classes.

Due to its difficulty, they chose to go for ones which were not as hard instead. That sounds like a stupid something that Hael would never do.

But it was probably due to also being unaware of how really difficult those trainings really are...

"That is only one of the problems of the warrior class. The second problem is due to its very low success rate. The survival rate of the Warrior class is less than 20%. That means undergoing the transfusion is signing up for an 80% death possibility."

"I wonder why though, why is the survival rate so low?" Hael asked with suspicious eyes.

"When you undergo the Gunslinger transfusion, what is changed in your body are your eyes, for better accuracy and precision, and your legs for instantaneous bursts of movement and agility.

When you undergo the Tank, what is greatly improved is your entire upper body, for maximum defenses, and your hands for maximum devastation capabilities.

The Warrior class being a fusion of both, means your eyes, your legs, your entire body will all have to undergo everything. Some people still die just from specific parts being interchanged, what is to talk of a person who has to have everything changed.

How low do you think his or her survival chance will be?" Captain Aelia directed the question back to him as Hael gave a nod of approval.

"It really would be low if it is as you said it is..." He replied.

"Good. Now that you have understood the various classes, to best choose the class that is best for you, then you'll have to undergo some tests..." Captain Aliea said as she suddenly tapped on her tablet and from right beside Hael, a strange metallic box around 2 meters long slowly rose out of the ground, coming to rest just beside him, and suspended on a small glass pulpit.

"Hmmm, a metallic coffin?" Hael asked with a suspicious gaze as Captain Aelia giggled, breaking apart her serious aura.

"No! that is a virtual reality pod." She answered, only confusing Hael even more...

"A Virtual...reality?"

"Don't tell me you have not even a semblance of an idea to what Virtual reality means?" Captain Aliea said with disbelief as Hael turned his gaze away from the coffin and turned to look at her.

"Is it something that is commonly known?" He asked as Captain Aelia clapped her forehead.

"Of course, it is. Who the hell doesn't know about Virtual reality. Seriously? Just which sector is that backwater!?" Captain Aliea asked as Hael shrugged...

"I don't have time to explain something so mundane. Just get in and feel it yourself."

"Um, Captain Aliea?" Hael asked as he rose from his seat, staring at the pod with dubious eyes.

"Uh huh?"

"I just want to ask a question which I think is very important before entering into this...coffin."

"It's a pod! And what is your question..." Captain Aliea asked as Hael furrowed his eyebrow.

"How strong is Cybernetic fusion compared to Magic?" Hael asked the question that will be the determining factor in whether he even jumps into it before.

Of course, he had no problem with undergoing the Cybernetic transfusion. Compared to the eldritch transformation, it looks a little better to Hael. But he wanted to know if the headache and risking his life would be worth it.

If Magic turned out to be stronger than Cybernetic transfusion, then there was no need for the headache. But if Cybernetic transfusion was stronger or was equally matched, then the idea of possessing two sources of power or say two ways of cultivation was a very welcoming idea to Hael's mind.

Why would he only settle for magic if there is another source of power which can rival it and also accessible to him? Why not do both? That would mean being stronger than the average mage and also the average Cybernetic fighter at the same stage.

And suddenly Captain Aliea tapped on her tablet causing the space before her to open up from which came a small desk, where she placed her tablet and also took off her long gown, revealing to Khan a normal-looking long-sleeved, round-neck shirt and tight-fitting jeans that Captain Aliea was donning on.

"Uh?" Hael raised an eyebrow wondering the reason why she placed her tablet down and took off her coat.

"I have seen something in your eyes when you come inside the room," Captain Aliea said as she suddenly began twisting her neck. And stretching her hands.

"And what is that?" Hael asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You believe in magic, an abnormal amount of belief in it," Captain Aliea said, surprising Hael a bit.

"Even when I told you about the Cybernetic transfusions, the various classes of fighters, I have been reading your body's pulses with my eyes and came to a conclusion. You aren't amazed by the Cybernetic transfusion, or more like you doubt it. Your pulse is calm when I mention to you about their power. And that could only be because you believed in another great source of power. Your question now confirms it to me when you asked if Cybernetic transfusion was even greater than magic. That means you believed in magic more. You think it will win over Cybernetic transfusion, don't you?" Captain Aliea asked standing upright once more after cracking her bones.

"In my personal opinion, practical is better than theory. So instead of showing long videos of exchange between magic and cybernetics and trying to change your mind. I think it would be better if we were more...practical."

"And um, how do you suggest this practical thing?" Hael asked as Captain Aelia grinned evilly.

"B fucking you up, of course..."

"Huh?"
