Looking at my status, I didn't know what to say.
Looking at my status, I didn't know what to say.
I had learned that upgrading a skill with an Upgrade Orb reset its level, but the requirements to evolve it increased.
Now, I needed 2 skill points to evolve my unique skill, then 4, 8, and so on.
"Well... there's no use to dwell on those thoughts. I need to get back to work..." I couldn't help but mutter.
In front of my eyes, there was the Lycanthrope's body which had been poisoned by me.
And here I am, creating poison using a poisoned beat's body.
It makes sense, doesn't it?
I bought a few bottles from the system store and made a small cut on the Lycanthrope's body.
A river of blood flowed out, and I quickly filled the bottles with it.
This will be useful sooner or later, I can feel it.
[Would you like to disassemble the monster's body?]
A notification appeared in front of me, and I simply said yes since I had already collected five bottles full of the beast's blood.
[You have received the Lycantropes's Poisoned Blood (7)!]
[You have received the Lycantropes's Body (1)!]
Are you fucking kidding me?
Well... I took the blood out that came out in small plastic packages and bought some more bottles.
Then, I opened the store to check something...
[Lycantrope's Body — Price: 17.940 Coins.]
It was more expensive than I thought. But, I'll keep it for now, it may be useful later.
"D—Dad...? What are you doing?" A wild Bianca appeared.
She had dark circles under her eyes as she rubbed them before yawning.
"Little lady, didn't you get enough sleep?"
"N—no... I couldn't sleep..." She replied, climbing onto my lap like it was an everyday thing.
She rested her hands on my chest and her head on my shoulder, mumbling sleepily, "I'll try to sleep now..."
"Ah..." I sighed.
When did she become so clingy?
Was it because of those fireworks? Or after I helped her 'pee'?
She didn't even notice the Lycanthrope's body.
Step...!
"Who's there?" I immediately spoke aloud as I looked towards the sound of the steps.
This was too sudden.
"A—ah...! I found a living being!" a female voice responded.
A pretty woman stood there, with three others behind her—another woman and two men.
"Get out of here," I warned.
This was my spot, and I wouldn't share it.
"Well, well... look who we have here?" One of the men whistled, stepping forward arrogantly.
"Who are you to say those words? Do you think you can beat us all? I'm from another area and my house won the conquest!" he boasted aloud.
Childish, to say the least.
NPC's behavior. The kind that dies very early in every book.
I kept my eyes on the newcomers, feeling Bianca's small, warm body against mine.
She slept peacefully, unaware of anything.
'Could she even fall asleep that fast? Well, she's a... hybrid? So, I guess tigers can fall asleep quite fast.'
"I said, get out of here," I warned again with a much colder tone.
"Do you really think you can scare us off?" The man who had spoken before laughed.
Another woman from their group stepped forward, her face twisted in a sneer. "You must be joking. We're not leaving just because some kid tells us to."
I sighed, feeling my patience slip away. "Last chance. Leave now, or face the consequences."
They just laughed, clearly not taking me seriously.
The arrogant woman crossed her arms and smirked. "Let's see what you've got, kid."
"That's it." I muttered coldly.
I didn't hesitate.
I focused on my magic and felt the familiar chill of my ice magic.
With a small movement, I raised my hand and icy winds swirled around me, freezing the air.
Freeze...!
Frost crept up the legs of the two men and the arrogant woman, their expressions changing from confidence to shock as the ice trapped them, spreading quickly until they were frozen solid.
Only the woman who had first called out was left, her eyes wide with fear as she watched her companions become statues of ice.
She trembled, but she didn't dare to move or speak.
I let out a breath, feeling the chill in the air. "You... stay quiet. If you move or try to scream, I'll kill you directly. Understood?"
She nodded quickly, her eyes still on the frozen figures of her companions. "I—I understand," she stammered.
"Good," I replied.
"Now, tell me your name, and how you're here. I have created this hidden spot myself, there's no way any of you would be able to discover it."
Gulp!
She swallowed hard, glancing nervously at the frozen bodies.
"My name is J—Jane! W—we were looking for a side scenario's boss. We heard from a constellation, that there was a powerful creature here and thought we could take it down together."
"Well, you found it," I said, gesturing to the Lycanthrope's body behind me, I still hadn't stored it in my inventory.
"But... how exactly did you get here?"
Hearing me, her body quivered slightly before she replied to my words.
"W—well, Jake... I mean, the first guy that said anything told us that a constellation had given him a special skill that could track this same boss... so we just followed him here."
"I see..."
'Check notifications...'
[You have killed three people.]
[You have received 25.290 Coins!]
They had quite a lot of points for three people.
"Alright... now, what should I do with you?"
Jane's eyes were wide with fear as she heard my cold words. She fell to her knees, trembling, and tears started to stream down her face.
"P-please," she begged, her voice shaking. "Please don't kill me. I'll do anything, just spare me."
She sniffed, trying to hold back more tears, but failing. "I... I can be useful to you. I'll serve you, do whatever you want."
Her desperate plea tugged at something deep inside me, but I kept my expression cold.
Yup... I'm clearly a sadist.
However, I won't play around with her too much, I'll keep her alive and use her as bait if needed.
Thinking about it, I should take a look at her status...

"Anything?" I asked with a voice low and menacing after looking at her status.
She could be... VERY useful.
"Yes, anything," she sobbed, looking up at me with tear-filled eyes. "I'll do whatever you say, just please don't kill me."
At her words, I smirked as I created a small house made of ice and put some blankets on top of an ice bed.
Then, I gently laid Bianca down and covered her with the blankets.
"Mhm..." She mumbled as she turned around once I put her down.
Cute.
Then, I left the small house and locked gazes with Jane, who was still kneeling to me.
"I'm bored, soo... Blow me!"
