Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Game of Distrust
There were a few more people that Kim Seojin made sure to take note of. Most of them were the people who had killed another person in the first stage.
Amongst them, there was one person who was in an entirely different league in the danger scale.
It was the man that everyone wanted to kill, yet no one knew who he really was. Only he knew who Lee Taehyung was.
"I should avoid him at any cost. Nothing good will come with getting closer to him."
After memorizing details about all hundred players in this place, Kim Seojin returned to his seat.
He also promised himself that he was going to avoid the Regressor, at least during this tutorial.
Unfortunately, his plans were soon thrown out the window when the Second Stage began.
As soon as the timer hit zero, multiple messages appeared before the Players.
[Welcome to Stage 2]
[Stage Title: Kill Protect Kill]
[Team Members: Lee Taehyung, Lee Junho, Jiang Min]
Kim Seojin looked at the names of his team members, almost having a stroke.
One of them was a man that he wanted to avoid at any cost. The other was a dangerous man whose schemes ran too deep.
The third was a man who was completely opposite of Lee Junho.
Junho pretended to be strong while he was weak. Meanwhile, Jiang Min pretended to be weak when he was actually very strong.
[Team Members: Kim Seojin, Lee Taehyung, Jiang Min]
Lee Junho actually laughed out loud when he saw the names on the screen.
Two of them were people who hadn't killed anyone in the first stage. They were weak. And the third was a Necromancer who was the top ranker in the first stage.
He could easily kill that Necromancer and take all his Contribution Points.
As long as the Necromancer didn't get any corpses, he was a walking treasure trove.
The other two players were insignificant so he didn't care about them.
He was just looking forward to seeing the Necromancer that everyone wanted to kill.
There were more teams created. Every team has four people, and in that way, all hundred players in this place were split.
A total of twenty five teams were created. Many thought that the second stage could be about team battles.
Only later, they realized that it wasn't team battles. It was much more sinister.
[Stage Description: Your Team has four people in total. Two of them have received the Title of a Killer. Two have received the title of Survivors]
[Find the two Killers, and kill them. If one of the two survivors die, the Killers will win and the Stage will finish for your team]
[If both the Killers are killed, the Survivors will be winners and the Stage will finish for the team]
[The losing members will be erased. If at the end, neither the killer nor the Survivors die, the entire team will be erased]
[The Killers and the Survivors must be within twenty feet of each other at all times]
[Time Duration: 24 Hours]

"This..."
Kim Seojin looked at the description. It looked simple, but it was more sinister than it looked.
It was a game of distrust, intellect and bluff.
Two of them were killers, but none of them were going to accept it. They had no way to prove who was the killer and who was a Survivor.
Even if one found the Killers, could they convince the other Survivor? All they needed was the death of one Survivor to lose.
The Killers could also try to frame others to have them killed. Even without getting their hands dirty, they could win.
In this game, all words had lost meaning.
Even though he couldn't convince others, Kim Seojin wanted to know who recieved Killer title and was a threat to him.
He looked at Lee Junho who was closest to him.
[Guidance]
[Guidance can't be used on the same person more than once a day]
He tried using his Guidance Skill, but he was only greeted with a warning.
He had already used Guidance on everyone here when gathering details about them.
Just like the others, he was also going in completely blank. He didn't know who the other Survivor was.
He needed to protect this unknown person if he didn't want to lose this hand and be erased
[Please gather with your team]

Arrows appeared over the head of his team members that only a team member could see.
The same thing happened with other teams. And slowly, all the teams started gathering.
Kim Seojin looked at the arrow above Lee Taehyung's head who was closest to him, still standing under the tree.
He wasn't even moving. He wasn't trying to go to his team member, as if expecting them to come to him.
"This guy... I just promised myself that I would stay away from him, yet I have to go to him."
Kim Seojin walked towards Lee Taehyung. Lee Junho and Jiang Min also did the same.
"Hello, I'm Jiang Min."
A young man introduced himself.
"In this game, anyone can be a killer. Yet you are completely carefree."
Lee Junho frowned, looking at Jiang Min suspiciously. "Is it because you are a killer and don't have to worry?"
"W-what nonsense are you spouting? I'm not the Killer! I was just trying to introduce myself! If anything, you must be the killer!"
"Why would I be the killer?!"
"You know that the stage will end as soon as one Survivor is killed. Still, you're trying to accuse me! It's as if you want me to die so you as a killer can win!"
"Do I need to scheme like that? I have a rare class of Arcane Mage. Do you think you can stop me if I want to kill you?" Lee Junho taunted him.
"You might be strong, but even you can't kill me right away. And once you attack, your identity will be exposed," Jiang Min fired back.
"Once you're exposed, even the other killer will have to kill you to keep his identity hidden! That's why you're accusing me to kill me with a borrowed knife!"
The game had just begun, and the accusations and suspicions were already running high.
Just like the Survivors didn't know who the other Survivor was, the Killer didn't know who the other Killer was.
