Chapter 50: Epilogue

It would be safe for Silas to leave the second Hōgyoku in Las Noches.

Although the Espada could gladly walk in the room it's held in, none of them could activate the Hōgyoku's immense power. This particular Hōgyoku required a being with twice the spiritual pressure of a captain—something neither of them except for Ulquiorra in his segunda etapa held.

But why would he ever transgress against Silas? Why would anyone dare touch what is now rightfully his?

In the empty throne room, Silas, disguised as Eren, stood before the Garganta.

The dark portal awaited him, the Soul Society on the other side, a place in which he felt as if he hadn't stepped in for some time. The Soul Reaper uniform felt foreign on his skin. Yet it was something he would have to grow accustomed to for his plans to reside in the Soul Society.

Gazing into the portal, a myriad of emotions crossed his eyes. Memories flooded his mind. It had been a brutal journey, one that had twisted and contorted him into something barely recognizable. But through it all, a single purpose had remained steadfast: to return to earth.

He craved answers, the truth about his arrival here, and what his purpose was. For the longer he stayed here, the more and more questions needed answering. And there was something that he understood: this was a hell that mimicked the world of Bleach.

The thought that he was sent here, of all places, sent a chilling precursor to the storm brewing within him. The Soul Society wouldn't know what hit them. They might see a Soul Reaper, perhaps a young recruit, but beneath that mask was a force far more potent and dangerous than any being they'd ever heard of.

Silas steeled himself with a desire for many things. Who are the new captains? What are Retsu Unohana's thoughts? The actions he took were hurtful and grievous to these characters, but they were also his fuel. He wouldn't let his journey be in vain.

So he stepped forward and entered the Garganta.

An array of colours covered his vision. The swirling emptiness of the void was nothing to him. He didn't need to form a stable platform; his aura alone was enough to keep him levitated.

As he hurtled through, fragmented images flashed in front of him.

From the first day he arrived in this world, he immediately ostracized himself for not feeling as if he belonged. Who could blame him? His soul, his real soul, woke up in the body of a fictional character from earth.

Not many people on earth were even aware of this animated franchise. Ichigo was a made-up teenager who was meant to be "relatable".

Upon settling in this new world, Silas made sure to put it in his heart that he would not follow the path of Ichigo Kurosaki. He was his own man and had no regard for this world's character.

How else could one explain why he gave the cold shoulder to Ichigo's friends? Whether they were one's remembered or one's forgotten, they would all be given the same treatment. Not even Ichigo's family would be excluded.

Things had become so cold for Silas that he was forced to slay them. Isshin, Karin, Yuzu—they all died at his hands. And if Masaki was present, he would have had no problems being the sole reason that their entire family fell.

But Silas wasn't a killer. No, not a murderer. He was strategically eliminating those he considered threats. These characters had no souls, no lives—they were obstacles to finding the truth.

And why stop with just them?

Ichigo's friends would have all been spared until the end if one such character's story had not been drastically altered. That character was Orihime, Ichigo's wife. She, too, tasted death.

After undergoing some of the biggest trials in the Soul Society, Silas did something Ichigo couldn't—he sided with Zangetsu early, awakened his Bankai, and utterly demolished Aizen without prolonging the story.

That was when he made a mistake. In order to defeat one of the main antagonists, sacrifices were required. Yoruichi was one of the expendables. Upon her dead corpse being discovered, Silas was immediately labeled as a potential traitor against the Soul Society.

Defeating Aizen was clearly not enough. Silas had to defeat every Soul Reaper that dared to question him if he needed to survive.

He managed to escape the Soul Society through thick and thin, traveling back in time to a meaningful event in Bleach's story. Though he had lost his memories through a series of misfortunes, he gained them back through faith, remembering who he was and what his goals were.

This was thanks to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Saviour, whom he trusted with all his heart, strength, soul, mind, spirit, and heart.

Once a portion of his powers were regained, he became the apex predator that he was now, absorbing the Hōgyoku and ready to once again step under his enemies!

Then the biggest image flashed in his mind—scenes from his past. His children and his wife. Their faces were smiling. It was something he would never forget.

A small light pierced the void within the Gargantua.

The darkness began to constrict, funneling Silas towards a new destination. In a moment's time, he was ejected from the portal, landing gracefully on a grassy clearing, bathing in the gentle glow of the rising sun.

He had arrived. The Soul Society!

Surveying his surroundings, he couldn't sense any soul remotely close to his power. They were all less than specs in comparison to his king-sized blanket of spiritual powers.

Silas found himself in a secluded area, far from the bustling streets of the Seireitei—a perfect entry point for an unexpected visitor.

But this visitor wasn't going to be Silas; it was a new prospect, someone with an entirely different attitude whose purpose was to infiltrate their system. Determination hardened his eyes at that thought.

Acting was, by all means, something he was good at. No one would know it was him, and no one would tell the difference between his fake signature as opposed to his undetectable one.

The game was afoot.

With a silent vow in his mind, Silas, the disguised Soul Reaper, walked forward, disappearing into the shadows, ready to once again penetrate the heart of the Soul Society and unravel the mysteries that had plagued him for far too long.
