Throughout the journey, Byakuya witnessed Garp's brutality.

He always had two crates of cannonballs ready, and whenever he spotted a pirate ship while sailing, it was met with a meteoric punch.

The bombs he manually threw were more powerful than those fired by warships' main cannons.

Given the level of pirates in the first half of the Grand Line, hardly anyone could withstand even a single blow from Garp.

Seeing the pirate crews destroyed along the way, Byakuya felt heartbroken; that was all World Source Energy!

He wished he could pick up the bombs next to Garp and throw a few himself. Unfortunately, Byakuya couldn't reveal his full strength now.

Despite Garp's casual appearance, he knew better than anyone what was going on.

Otherwise, how could he thrive in the Marine with a son who was a leader of the Revolutionary Army?

If Garp were to suspect Byakuya's connection to the powerful individuals he faced a few days ago, explaining it would be troublesome...

Upon entering the Marine Headquarters at Marineford, Byakuya truly understood Garp's prestige in the Marine.

Even in such a tightly guarded place, where even vice admiral's ships were stopped for inspection, not a single soldier mentioned inspecting Garp's ship.

They all gave him a clear path without any hindrance.

Every Marine personnel who saw Garp, even vice admirals, had to salute and respectfully address him as Vice Admiral Garp.

Garp, in turn, greeted everyone with a smile, appearing friendly and approachable.

Finally reaching their destination, the Marine Headquarters rear area, the Elite Training Camp.

"We're finally here, this is where you'll need to stay for the next three years."

Garp led Byakuya and his group to a place similar to a Marine branch base. At the entrance to the courtyard, hundreds of soldiers were already waiting.

Here gathered all the young elite soldiers from the Four Blues' Marines. Garp shouted at the entrance, "Zephyr! Your students, I've brought them here!"

A man with purple hair and a stature similar to Garp's walked out from the crowd. "Why did you bring them?"

"Don't ask, it's all the mess Snegoku arranged for me, I still have things to deal with."

Zephyr and Garp were from the same Marine class, and their relationship was excellent, so they exchanged pleasantries.

Zephyr glanced around and asked, "Are these your soldiers from the East Blue? These are all the ones selected?"

"Um," Garp looked embarrassed. Garp himself came from the East Blue, and he felt some affection for the soldiers from there.

Now, being questioned by Zephyr, he felt somewhat ashamed.

But then Garp had an idea and whispered to Zephyr,

"Although our numbers in the East Blue are few, there's one exceptional talent among them, named Byakuya."

"They say Byakuya single-handedly defeated over a dozen pirate crews in the East Blue; he's worth nurturing."

Garp had heard some rumors during his time in the East Blue.

During these days of observation, Garp didn't notice anything unusual about Byakuya.

He thought it might be just hearsay, so he should have paid more attention to it.

In his view, with those pirates in the East Blue, he could easily crush a shipful of them with just one finger.

What's so impressive about defeating East Blue pirates? It wasn't until Zephyr mentioned it that Garp remembered someone like Byakuya.

However, if he knew that Byakuya defeated those pirate crews, with just one punch to finish them off. He probably wouldn't have had such thoughts then.

Listening to Garp's words and seeing his lack of confidence, Zephyr knew that Garp was probably deliberately saying this about Byakuya.

What kind of person could defeat over a dozen pirate crews alone? If he had such ability, why would he come to the Marine Elite Training Camp? To play house?

Those so-called pirate crews were probably just a few strong people going to sea together, and that's considered a pirate crew.

It's hard to say whether the entire crew had a total bounty of one million Berries.

With such pirate crews, any Marine Headquarters soldier picked at random from the scene could handle them. What's there for Byakuya to brag about?

But Zephyr also understood that Garp was saying this to save face. As his good friend, he didn't expose Garp but just smiled and nodded.

After seeing Garp off, Zephyr's smile disappeared. "All soldiers line up according to the seas they come from."

With the Four Blues plus the Marine Headquarters, there were a total of five groups.

At a glance, Byakuya could tell the difference between the East Blue and the other seas.

It goes without saying about the Marine Headquarters; with over three hundred people, it was densely packed from top to bottom.

Even the second weakest, the South Blue, had over fifty people.

But on the East Blue side, there were only a pitiful thirty-seven people, making their line much shorter than the others.

The soldiers from the East Blue knew about Byakuya's strength, so naturally, they let him stand at the front of the line.

Zephyr instructed the instructors beside him, "Since everyone is here, let's conduct their tests first."

Then he thought for a moment and added,

"Let the soldiers from the East Blue go last in the tests, so they can see how big the gap between them and the other soldiers is."

Based on the test results of East Blue soldiers in previous years, the instructors could imagine that after seeing the results of the other soldiers, the East Blue soldiers would feel ashamed and embarrassed.

Probably, during the tests, they wouldn't be able to perform at their normal strength.

After hesitating for a while, one instructor couldn't bear it and said, "Isn't this too cruel?"

Zephyr replied, "This is just to make them realize early on, so they won't think that the pirates on the Grand Line are as weak as those in the East Blue."

"If we don't treat them harshly now after they graduate, do you expect the pirates to show mercy to them?"

"Losing face now is nothing compared to losing lives later!"

Since his wife and child were killed by pirates, Admiral Zephyr's attitude toward "not killing" has completely changed.

Nearly six hundred people followed the instructors to the training hall, which was extremely spacious, with a height of over ten meters, enough to accommodate all the soldiers.

On one side of the hall were five testing machines, similar to punch strength testers.

The targets were made of special metal, and connected to a liquid crystal display screen.

It is said that these were developed by the scientist Vegapunk.

"Each of you will take turns to punch the target with all your strength, and then the screen will display the force of your punch."

"We'll start with the soldiers from the Marine Headquarters."

Some people from East Blue started whispering to each other, asking about their previous test results. "Byakuya, what was your test score?"

"Test? What test? Why haven't I heard about any test?"

"Didn't you go through the test? Then how did you get selected?"

"I killed many pirates with a total bounty of one hundred and fifty million, and then I got chosen."
