Chapter 66: Chapter 66 The Queens’ Plan

Alexstrasza was not surprised by the situation, as it was similar to what happened in the past. "Do you remember the scene after we defeated Garrosh Hellscream with Tyr?"

"Of course, Tyr advocated for us, which led to us receiving the blessing of the Titans' power, resulting in the five-colored dragons we have now. Hmph, but there's this annoying Odin who never acknowledged us throughout." Ysera spoke of Odin with a lot of frustration, clearly not having a good impression of the stubborn old figure.

In the world of Warcraft, Odin is not the father of the gods but merely a protector, appointed as the chief protector by the Titans themselves, essentially the leader.

However, Odin is known for his hot temper and stubbornness, refusing to listen to reason.

He was not optimistic about the primordial progenitor dragons the five-colored dragons were officially renamed after inheriting the power of the Titans.

Odin's prowess in battle is unquestionable, but his ideas and methods are extremely rigid, even radical and extreme.

Overall, he is still respected, but the issue remains that he is currently stuck in the sky due to his foster daughter's matters.

He is dedicated to assembling a unique and fearless legion, with the ancestors of the Vrykul people being well-suited for this purpose.

During that time, the Vrykul people were more like iron beings than flesh and blood, requiring special powers to form a unique legion.

Odin made a deal with the ancient troll death god Mogul Razdunk, giving up his all seeing left eye as an exchange with the Shadow Realm.

He indeed witnessed the power of the Shadow Realm and, inspired by it, created the Val'kyr as a counterpart to the Shadow Realm's ascension fortress.

The Val'kyr's purpose is to exist on the boundary between life and death, guiding deceased souls to the Halls of Valor for training and rebirth.

Death is not the end but a new beginning.

Through this retraining, the Vrykul become the most courageous and skilled warriors, forming an army capable of safeguarding Azeroth without the need for Dragon Aspects. This is why Odin dismisses the need for them, as his Halls of Valor army is formidable and can even rival the forces in the Maw.

However, such a remarkable vision comes at a cost. Odin sacrificed his left eye, the eye that could see all.

Furthermore, he stubbornly transformed his foster daughter, a steel Vrykul female mage, into a Val'kyr. This transformation was painful, cursed, and far from a blessing.

As a result, his foster daughter Hela harbored resentment. Despite being manipulated by Odin to guide souls as a Val'kyr, she seized the opportunity to betray Odin, trapping him forever within the Halls of Valor.

Alexstrasza also recalled events from ancient times, her gaze reflecting a hint of reminiscence.

"Arthas has the favor of Aeonus; he can help us regain strength."

Contrary to the plot, history has taken a different turn.

Originally, the Dragon Soul was shattered by the mage Rhonin in the magical kingdom of Dalaran, and its power was returned to the four Dragon Aspects. This act allowed the four Dragon Aspects, who had contributed their power after the War of the Ancients, to regain their strength.

Arthas's arrival, however, led to the complete use of the power within the Dragon Soul to awaken the Titan Soul Aeonus, who had inexplicably arrived within him. This resulted in the power not being returned to the four Dragon Aspects as before.

Consequently, they remained in a weakened state. Without their contribution, the Dragon Soul would not possess such formidable power.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Ysera sensed a hint of curiosity.

Knowing that Alexstrasza was not one to boast or be swayed by a human pretty face, Ysera was intrigued by her words.

"It will become clear when he arrives. Without power, we cannot fulfill our mission," Alexstrasza replied, her gaze lowered as she held her teacup, leaving the rest unspoken.

"And our safety," Ysera frowned. "The Emerald Dream has not been peaceful lately; I almost struggled to awaken."

"That's why we need his help. Mortals can also make a difference," Alexstrasza smiled. Unlike other Dragon Aspects, she held no particular feelings towards humans and did not oppose contact and observation.

Meanwhile, the rain had stopped, and Arthas finally subdued Onyxia, leaving her begging for mercy.

Their future interactions might prove challenging after their intimate encounter.

As Arthas embraced his newlywed wife, preparing to sleep contentedly, he was interrupted by a notification from the system.

"Ding, mission completed: Marry Onyxia."

"Marry Onyxia: To make Onyxia the new Earth Warder as per Deathwing's request, you must marry Onyxia, so he will reveal all his wealth and secrets to her. Mission rewards: Onyxia becomes a Spouse, Onyxia becomes the new Earth Warder and leader of the Black Dragonflight, and gains the Heart of the Territory."

"The Heart of the Territory: A statue crafted in your likeness that can be placed in your territory to absorb the faith and worship of its residents, regardless of race or species. It can be advanced through the power of faith, expanding by ten square kilometers with each advancement. Once placed, the area within fifty square kilometers becomes your territory, where residents experience a 20% increase in vitality recovery, fertility rate, vegetation growth, research speed, and forging speed."

Observing the Heart of the Territory, Arthas stroked his chin, realizing its potential for future territorial expansion.

While the Eastern kingdoms offered development opportunities, Kalimdor was more suitable for him.

The continent remained largely untouched, with places like Un'Goro Crater offering distinct advantages.

With the assistance of the secondary protector, resources in this area would be easily accessible, providing a significant boost for territorial growth.

The Eastern kingdoms were already divided, with remaining regions being barren and home to various wild races like Trolls, Gnolls, and Worgen, unsuitable for development.

Arthas contemplated achieving great feats in battle, proposing to claim fertile lands as his territory during rewards distribution, ensuring the support of other kings in building and expanding his domain across the sea. This support would include manpower and resources, with the people becoming permanent subjects under Arthas's rule!
