Han Yoo-hee (The Protagonist From Another World)
Known to have an unlucky constitution. Had almost no friends and is a fan of horror games. Curses a lot but can be considered a good natured person as shown by his moral conflicts in the novel.
Ella (The Girl In The Mirror)
The tutorial boss in the game [Mystery Investigation Club ~Summer Vacation Nightmare~]. A girl that slowly killed the animals and humans around her and then committed suicide in front of a mirror. By looking at the clues shown in her and her Father's Diaries, it's possible to consider that her tragic past was likely a manipulation by The Devil. As a ghost, she acts like a killer because of The Devil's influence, but her true wish is to have friends. You can see her illustration here.
Shin Ha-rim (Game Protagonist)
Han Yoo-hee mentions she's the only survivor by the end of the game. What happens after finishing the game is the destruction of the outside world. Her artifact is [Shining Will], a necklace with the [Survival] and [Luck] skills. [Survival] helps the user survive in any dangerous situation, as long they have the will to do so, while [Luck] helps with any action that has a chance to fail. Kim Eun-jeong (The Supporter)
She's Ha-rim's best friend, appearing to have weak stamina and poor physical strength overall, having a bright and innocent personality, and shows a lack of courage. Kim Eun-jeong has the [Sacred Sound] artifact, a bell that has [Purify], the ability to remove curses, and [Speed], that lightens the body of who she considers an ally. Yoo Suho (The Protector)
Suho is the tallest member of the group, looking older than he actually is. He has a tendency to stay at the front when exploring unknown places and is very protective. Because of that, Han Yoo-hee gave him an unnamed artifact in the form of a enchanted riot shield that can block any type of attack, even ones that passes by walls. Nonetheless, it can't block curses or mental attacks. You can see his illustration here.
Lee Kyeong-min (Ghost Stories Enthusiast)
The smartest of the group and the first to die by Ella's broken promise in the game, constantly helping with information about ghost stories and trying to find answers for obscure questions. His artifact is [Book Of Restraint], a notebook that can temporarily hold a monster in it's place. You can see his illustration (on the left) here.
Alice (The Demon From Wonderland)

Mary (Mary On The Phone)
The second boss in the game. She's based on the "Mary On The Phone" urban legend. Has the power of teleportation and can control the electronic devices and its wires belonging to her domain. Her wish seems to be to find and kill the person who abandoned her, but her true wish is to reunite with her mother again.

Maria (The Holy Nun)
A nun dispatched from the institution. While she's working for the institution, her true affiliation is with her church. While she appears to be wary and hate demons, this is a defense mechanism from her past. She has a cross that radiates holy light, being able to exorcise monsters, although the cross has limited uses and need to be "charged". You can see her illustration here.
James (Squad Leader)
A special forces soldier that is the leader of the unit sent by the institution. He and his unit appears to have a robe that can store anything, no matter the size. He shows to be a very open-minded man and has no hesitation to ask for help from Ella to complete the operation.
Points of interest:
Meph (The Thug Who Isn't A Thug)
Most likely the only friend of Han Yoo-hee. As shown in the protagonist's past, their friendship started one-sidedly from Meph being Yoo-hee's senior and developed from there. Han Yoo-hee said he was a stubborn person and looked like a thug, although he never committed a crime. Meph is the game developer, as shown in chapter 38.

The Devil (Last Boss)
Not much is known about him. The last boss in the game and said to destroy the inside and outside world. He shows a strange fixation with Ha-rim. The institution gave him the code name MP (Mephistopheles).
