Chapter 3: CHAPTER-3: UNEXPECTED GUEST

EUN HANA

I think I'm hungover. My head is pounding like crazy. I sat up in bed to check the time and grabbed my phone. I woke up this morning without my mom calling. My mom would be proud if she saw me like this. I reached for my glasses on the table and put them on. I opened the balcony door and window. My room smelled entirely like beer. As I walked towards the living room, the smell intensified.

"Oh my god!"

Please let what I'm seeing be a joke. Last night, somehow, we decided to bring the beer chicken from the beach home. Kim Bora was asleep under the coffee table in the living room. I looked around for Ha Rin. Then I tripped over something and fell onto the sofa's leg. I lifted my head and turned to see what I tripped over.

"Oh, it's just the delivery guy."

Wait, hold on a minute, what's a stranger doing in my house? I can't believe what's happening right now. I quickly approached Kim Bora and tried to wake her up by nudging her. Kim Bora may be a bit annoying, but she has a strong character. There's nothing she can't handle. So, I thought it would be best to deal with the delivery guy before finding Ha Rin.

When Kim Bora opened her eyes, I quickly signaled her to be quiet with my hand and pointed with my other finger to where the delivery guy was sleeping.

"Hey! Kim Bora, look at this guy. How did we get home and who is he, and why is he sleeping in my house?"

After giving me a strange look, Kim Bora burst into laughter. She was laughing so loudly that I had to cover her mouth with my hand out of fear that my mom might hear. After removing my hands from Kim Bora's mouth, she approached the delivery guy. I followed behind Kim Bora, feeling scared. Then Kim Bora jumped on the delivery guy and started laughing. While trying to understand what Kim Bora was doing, I prayed that my mom wouldn't come here right now.

The delivery guy, whom I understood from his speech, was Ha Rin, whom I had been looking for since I woke up. I have tons of questions in my mind, but first, I needed to sober up these two. While the girls were asleep in the living room, I went to the bathroom, then went to the market two blocks away. I was going to get hangover soup for both me and the girls. Considering my current situation, I'm in much better shape. Slowly, with three portions of soup in one hand and my favorite vanilla ice cream in the other, I happily headed home.

As we entered our street, I noticed a luxury car parked in front of my uncle's shop on the corner. Leaning against the wall, I approached the car, still holding my ice cream. But I had forgotten to lick the ice cream while watching the car, and of course, it dripped onto me. With the anger of the moment, I threw the ice cream on the ground and tried to wipe off the ice cream that had splattered on my chest.

"Damn it, I wish I had worn a darker shirt. Calm down, Eun Hana, this happened yesterday too. It's best to stay away from light-colored clothes for a while. Your long streak of bad luck hasn't abandoned you yet."

Muttering to myself, I walked towards home. Now I wasn't paying attention to the luxury car in front of my uncle's shop. Instead, I was very angry with the owner of that car. Because of him, my ice cream spilled on me, and I couldn't eat it. As I passed by the car's friend, I kicked the car's tire lightly. Actually, I kicked it with a little fear, not intending to cause any harm.

I had almost reached the front of the car when a scent grabbed me and turned me towards it.

"Wow," I said to myself, "he's so tall and handsome." The gentleman holding my arm smiled at me.

"Thank you, miss. You're beautiful too," he said. I covered my mouth with my hands to hide my surprise.

 As the gentleman who was smiling at me took another step towards me and leaned towards my ear;

"Eun Hana, is that you?" he said. I nodded my head in approval, still intoxicated by his perfume scent. Upon my response, he opened the car door and made someone else come out from inside. But I was still stuck in that captivating scent. It smelled so good. This scent and this gentleman reminded me of my university days. How beautiful it was.

The person getting out of the car was coming towards me. But I was still staring at the gentleman behind. He had smiled so beautifully. He had dimples on his cheeks. I wanted to touch them with my fingers. The person coming out of the car was approaching me, but as he came closer, I turned my head to the side and looked at the other person. I must have realized that I was doing this, as the person approaching me closed my view by coming with flowers in his hand. I was angry. I lifted my head and gave him a sharp look.

The face I was giving a stern look to seemed very familiar to me.
