Chapter 4: A Day in Pavilion Poseidon
After the crucial meeting at the Pavilion of the Sea God, Zhang Lexuan and Zhi Wei emerged with a sense of relief. The fresh air welcomed them outside the pavilion as they breathed deeply, letting go of the tension from inside.
"Master Zhang, I can't believe we managed to convince Elder Xuan," said Zhi Wei, his voice filled with relief.
Zhang Lexuan smiled proudly at his disciple. "It's because you showed extraordinary skill and courage in there, Zhi Wei. I'm sure Elder Xuan saw your potential clearly."
As they walked out, they were greeted by Han Ruo Ruo and Ma Xiaotao. Han Ruo Ruo smiled broadly as she approached them.
"Wow, I can't wait to hear how the meeting ended!" exclaimed Han Ruo Ruo, full of enthusiasm.
Zhi Wei laughed, feeling relieved to share the good news with his friends. "Elder Xuan gave me the opportunity to join the Spirit Guidance Division!," he said with excitement.
Ma Xiaotao also joined in with a wide smile. "That's amazing, Zhi Wei! I'm sure you'll be a valuable asset to the division."
Zhi Wei smiled, feeling proud of his friends' support. "I hope to give my best and prove that Elder Xuan's decision was right," he said with determination.
They walked towards the inner courtyard. As they reached the inner courtyard, they caught the gaze of everyone. However, a group with three beautiful girls and one handsome boy was particularly avoided by everyone. This group was always involved in some kind of trouble with Zhang Lexuan calling several inner courtyard disciples to spar with Zhi Wei, but they always ended up in a comical situation. All those fights earned Zhi Wei the nickname "crazy little monster".
"Dai Yueheng, wait up," called Lexuan.
Reluctantly, Dai Yueheng turned around. "What is it, Sister Lexuan?" He forced a smile, clearly afraid of becoming the next victim of the crazy little monster.
"Don't worry, we're resting now. We won't be looking for sparring partners at the moment," Lexuan replied.
"Oh, really? Thank goodness. So, what's up, Sister Lexuan?" He responded cheerfully.
"Prepare yourself because in a few days, we will go to the Star Dou Forest. And tell the others too," Lexuan ordered.
"Oh, okay, Sister," he replied, performing a respectful gesture.

Back at Zhang Lexuan's house
Zhang Lexuan immediately threw himself on the sofa, and Zhi Wei went straight to the kitchen to make some snacks and hugged Lexuan out of the blue.
"Zhi Wei, what are you doing?" Clearly, this wasn't the first time he had been hugged unexpectedly by Zhi Wei; Zhi Wei often hugged him.
"Sister Lexuan, thank you for supporting my plan. I promise to always protect you forever," Zhi Wei replied.
"Of course, I will support you. After all, you always support me. Take good care of the house for a few days while I go hunting for soul beasts tomorrow," he replied softly.
"Em,..." Zhi Wei replied.
After the long hug...
"Sister Zhang, what do you want for dinner tonight?" he asked as he released the hug.
"I want grilled fish with salad for tonight," Lexuan replied.
"Okay, then you can take a shower while I prepare it," Zhi Wei replied as he walked to the kitchen.
"Alright," Lexuan replied.
They spent the rest of the day with dinner and continued training.
