Chapter 14: A POSITIVE OUTCOME
Derek could sense danger coming off the man, deep down he knew that mr Mark was an altered, but he was called back into reality as king kade kept calling him.
"Derek get in here", king kade shouted as he stood up from his sit.
Derek walked in and some how he kept his shit together, "sir am really sorry for interrupting".
Ok apology accepted, "now tell me why you're still holding the package you're were supposed to deliver", king kade asked.
Derek walked closer to king kade as he started explaining himself," sir I went to the appointed location as usual and I met the person that was suppose to collect the package".
"He collected the package from me and refused to give me the money, so I asked in a more polite manner but he choose to fight me, so I fought back in self defense", Derek explained.
"Are you try nah tell me you fought back five men all by yourself, not just fighting them back but you collected the package and the cash, how exactly did you do that, what exactly are you Derek", king kade asked as he stood up from his sit.
Derek stepped back because he wasn't sure of what king kade will do to him, so he replied," sir it was just pure luck, and when I say luck I meant that they were all drunk and wasted", Derek lied.
"Ok of that be the case then there's no issue, and by the way we still got our package and the money, so take all that money it's your reward for being truthful to me", king kade responded.
The total amount of cash that Derek brought to King kade was a 100 grand, that's just too much, Derek refused to collect it but king kade persuaded him, and afterwards Derek took all the money and exited the building.
King kade stood at the center of his office as he was thoroughly deep in thoughts,"wow Derek kale you sure know how to get my attention, you're just the perfect protege for my gang, and the fact that you exhibit good character and honesty just make you more fit as a leader, Derek kale I have a future that is built for you".

And after the whole incident with king kade, Derek walked home in the dark of the night as he was trying to complete his quest, not long after he got some notification

And by the way those men that I fought, I got 50 Exp from each of them, and they were five of them so typically I got 250 Exp from that fight, well it's a lot.

Huh what is this system upgrade all about Derek thought as he stopped walking, and immediately he got a message from the system.

"What a scary way to explain something, when I get home I'll upgrade the system to see what it have in stall for me", Derek thought.

Freddy got home and he entered the house he saw his mom sitting on the sofa waiting for him, the sight of his mother struck fear into him and immediately he flinched.
Sitting up straight Freddy's mom asked him," where are you coming from at this time of the night".
"Well we were given a science project in school today so I was paired with Derek, and that's why i couldn't follow you to the shop earlier today", Freddy lied
His mother was sensing that something was definitely wrong with Freddy,"Ok, but if it get too late you should just sleep there, you know how unsafe this town gets when it's late at night".
"Ok mom I'll do that next time, good night am pretty worked up so am going to bed", Freddy replied as he entered his room and locked the door.
As he entered his room he sat on his bed and looked at the box in his hands, he then put his head close to the door in other to hear if his mom was still in the living room.
After while he heard nothing so he left the door and walk towards his bed, as he reached the bed he picked the box, opened it and carried the serum.
"Well I hope you don't turn out to painful", he thought as he injected himself with the serum, and he didn't feel any pain for like a minute, suddenly he fell to the floor, his entire body was shut down he couldn't even move at all.
Freddy started thinking,"what sort of effect is this drug having on me". He was paralyzed at the moment and the only thing he could move was his eyes.
Suddenly the pain kicked in, he couldn't even shout probably because of the paralytic effect of the drug, he couldn't move he was just lying on the floor, but he felt as though his body was on fire.
This lasted for a period of 20 minutes, and afterwards he could move each of his body parts normally.
He stood up from the floor as he tried to test his abilities, he tried carrying his word rope but his grip was too strong so instead of carrying the word rope he broke the edge of the word rope.
"Man that's expensive, what's mom gonna say about this, damn that power force was sick, I just can't wait to see what am gonna do at school tomorrow", Freddy thought as he lay on his bed trying to sleep
But he didn't notice that the serum was already changing his body, his hair was now green, his eyes were now green in color too.

Somewhere in the city of karavan.
A man was standing at the center of a room, the room interior design was mostly snake like and greenish the furniture in the room where old and antique.
The man was putting on a green suit that has black outline, in his chest pocket was a purple handkerchief that has its tip shown, both of the man's hands were currently in his trouser pocket.
His eyes were like that of a snake, his hair was dark brown in color and he has a slim body, but just a look at him you'll know he's an altered.
He is the leader of the snake clan and his name is snake, and in this room were young men and right now they were giving a report.
"Sir am afraid we couldn't get the item you requested for from the lab, the scientists that's responsible for the item is dead, he refused to cooperate with us, we would have reported back to you but we are making an investigation of our own", a tall man said to his boss.
Snake turned his head slowly as he looked at the man speaking, he asked ,"who interrupted your work".
"It was a man from the altereds police force, he isn't an altered yet", the tall man replied.
"So what else is stopping you from finishing your investigation", snake asked.
"Before the cop showed up I've already destroyed the cctv cameras, but the camera caught a red haired boy in the building during the operation, and right now we are on the street conducting a search for him", the man replied.
"But first you have to bring me the police that sabotaged you mission", snake requested.
And with that being the end of the meeting all the men exited the building except snake himself, as he spoke, "there goes my one and only chance of makinng the best altered the world has ever seen".
