Chapter 37: Ch. 35 - The Great Pretender, Master of Kung Fu!
Soon after Tai Lung finished his line, Tigress growled in anger for some reason before dashing towards the failed Dragon Warrior in front of her.
*Bam!*
"Hmm. Quite feisty, are we?" Tai Lung blocked Tigress's punch with ease and said before launching a counter attack of his own.
"Hah!"
Surprised by Tai Lung's incredible speed almost rivalling that of Master Shifu, Tigress could only cross her arms and bear the brunt of the leopard's fist.
*Boom!*
Skidding back, the rope bridge swayed wildly, prompting Tigress to balance herself.
As for Tai Lung. No matter how much the rope bridge swayed, Tai Lung's feet stayed persistent on the ground, as if it was stuck when the truth was that his balance was just too good.
Eventually, their fight was so intense that the end of the bridge snapped broken, if it wasn't for the Furious Five holding the broken rope, the bridge would've long fallen on the deep ravine.
"Hah!" Upon recovering, Tigress roared and tried to attack Tai Lung, who simply dodged or parried all of her strikes before delivering his own.
It was fine for the first few strikes but as time went on, more and more hits started to land on Tigress's body, before eventually Tai Lung managed to land a clean hit on her face.
*Boom!*
The punch eventually threw Tigress off the rope bridge, slowly falling to her death.
"Hold it!" Crane wasted no time and passed the rope to Mantis before flapping his wings and flew towards Tigress like a hawk.
Thankfully, air is Crane's specialty, so he arrived at Tigress's figure fast enough before carrying her and dropped her back on the rope bridge, also landing on the rope himself, joining in the fight.
"Really two on one? Don't you have mercy for the poor me?~" Tai Lung feigned pity with a hint of mock.
Without responding to Tai Lung, Tigress resumed the fight by throwing a kick towards Tai Lung, which was then assisted by Crane's Wings of Justice.
"Slow and weak!" Tai Lung commented both of their attacks as he dodged Tigress's kick and deflected Crane's wings with nothing but his forearm, not even leaving a mark on his fur.
He then used his free hand to grab Tigress's hand to lock her in and delivered a swift kick towards her chin.
Knowing that this would cause Tigress to fall from the bridge once again and there might be no Crane to save her, Viper reacted fast.
"Monkey, throw me!" Heeding her words, Monkey grabbed her by the end of her tail and threw her forward like a slingshot.
*Boom!*
Not expecting Viper to join the assault, the aforementioned individual managed to land a heavy and fast hit on Tai Lung's chest, giving him a surprise and yanking him back.
*Boom!*
However, the momentum didn't last long before Tai Lung stopped himself from skidding any longer.
"That's it." Tai Lung growled, no longer intending to underestimate them and use all of his strength.
"Roaaarr!" Like a mad beast that went wild, Tai Lung dropped on all fours and started rushing towards them in a straight line.
Crane, this time took the initiative and flew up in the air, wanting to use his flight advantage against Tai Lung.
Predicting this, Tai Lung jumped and kicked Crane by the face, kicking him to the side of the bridge.
Meanwhile, Viper was next and slithered towards Tai Lung with a determined pace.
*Hiss!*
Slithering on Tai Lung's legs, Viper climbed and was about to bite Tai Lung's abdomen, wanting to inject her venom and paralyze him.
But would Tai Lung allow her to do that?
With a simple grab using his hand, Tai Lung managed to get a hold on Viper's neck before using her as a weapon to slap the incoming Tigress's face.
*Slap!*
Seeing that they're at a disadvantage, Monkey passed the rope to Mantis who panicked upon having four ropes on his arms and holding almost 3 tons of weight, all while trying his best to not use too much pressure lest the rope bridge snaps again and there won't be another Furious Five to hold it.
"Why me!?"
Meanwhile, Monkey used his incredible reflexes and started grabbing on the wood tiles under the rope bridge as if they were handle bars.
Tai Lung was surprised when Monkey emerged from his side and delivered a double kick towards his head.
Using his leg strength to balance himself, Tai Lung unfortunately stayed on the bridge, however in exchange, his mind went a little bit hazy from the impact of Monkey's kick.
"Viper, Crane, Monkey, now!" Tigress quickly flashed a signal to the three of them, who immediately knew what to do just from a single glance of Tigress.
Viper jumped as Monkey and Crane both grabbed on each end of Viper's body.
As for Tigress, she jumped and used Viper as some sort of spring coil to propel herself in the fastest speeds she could muster.
Once reaching the personal space of the unsuspecting Tai Lung, Tigress yelled as she bought both of her hands and slammed them on his chest.
*Boom!*
Tigress's strike was so strong that not only Tai Lung was thrown so far away but still being on the bridge, but air waves can also be perceived during the moment of the collision.
At the same time, due to the impact of the strike, Mantis failed to hold the entire weight of the rope bridge.
"Crane!" Mantis yelled and the mentioned bird quickly went into action, dragging both Monkey and Tigress while Viper latched herself on Monkey's shoulders before flying back to the ground.
Meanwhile, the broken bridge slowly fell and went back to its starting position but vertically as only one end is holding the bridge.
"We did it!" Viper excitedly said and cheered, followed by Monkey, Crane and Mantis.
However, only Tigress wasn't cheering. Instead, her guts were telling her something. Telling her to look at the broken bridge that is slowly swinging.
One might get mistaken and blame the winds for causing the bridge to sway in such a manner however, only Tigress noticed that the sway of the bridge not only circles the tall rock that is latched on, but the sway is slowly gaining momentum and speed.
"Huh?" Only by seeing Tigress did the Furious Five notice the unusual movement of the broken rope bridge.
*Snap!*
Just as they were about to react as the rope bridge clearly threw something, Tai Lung, who they thought had died from falling with the bridge suddenly landed on the same ground that they were standing on.
"Shifu taught you well, but he didn't teach you everything." Before the Furious Five could react, they all fell one by one just from a single tap of Tai Lung's folded fingers.

While the Furious Five just got their ass kicked, Leo and Po were standing side by side while facing the satisfied Master Shifu.
"You both did well. Now, it's time for the final test." Master Shifu smiled, failing to notice Leo's twitching expression.
'Damn it, I don't want to participate in this food-chasing test.' Leo tiredly said to himself, though that doesn't mean he won't really participate as Master Shifu actually dared to not feed them for a whole week all while undergoing intense training.
Imagine not only they're not recovering their energy because you need to eat, but their training consumes energy.
Now, Leo needed to eat as much as he can to recover his entire energy.
He's like a car that is in need of a full-tank. He needs energy to get strong after all.
Speaking of strong, Leo opened his status window to see the changes that has been made during his training arc.

Thanks to the training with Master Shifu, his percentage with Black Panther increased, not because of doing quests or Sub-Quests, but because of just using his Black Panther fighting style whenever he and Po fought with Master Shifu.
Leo was actually surprised to discover that he can also increase his template in that way, which just turned Leo into a battle maniac during this training week.
Now, you must be wondering now that he has achieved 50% of Black Panther's template, Leo must've gained something from the original Black Panther.
This is actually what just confused Leo, as instead of receiving something that would help him in his combat, what he gained was T'challa's memories right from birth up to his death.
At first, Leo thought he received something useless until he noticed something in T'challa's memories.
Eventually, T'Challa has some memories towards Vibranium, Leadership, Strategies and weapon master towards spears.
Thanks to this, Leo actually realized the importance of T'Challa's memories.
With these memories, Leo could finally kickstart his training with the spear and familiarize himself with strategies.
He might not have an army now but he'll soon have one, once he finds the tribe of black panthers in this world.
According to the books that he read from the libraries of Jade Palace, Black Panthers used to be a warrior species, their service sought after by several cities, either for security, protection or bodyguards.
However, for some unknown reason, black panthers slowly disappeared from the world, almost rarely seen throughout the entire world.
No one knows the reason for their disappearance, which caused great worries to several figures such as rich nobles or individuals that are in need of protection from strong warriors of black panthers.
That is until the news started to spread throughout the world that the entire tribe of Black Panthers were massacred and has gone extinct.
