Have you ever been in an eternal darkness. A bone chilling darkness that continued for all Eternity...a mind wrenching darkness that followed you till the end of the world. If you have really experienced the above...you will understand how the World Evolvers were currently feeling.
Despair, dred, they were terrified, scared. They were solwly losing it. Their mind was slowly being devoured by the endless and eternal darkness. The abyss truly lived up to its name...every step they took erased a part of their being.
Yet some were still able to fight back...they were still able to hope...they were still looking for that thread of light. When all was lost...one would look for the last thread of hope. And that's what the World Evolvers were all trying to do...they walked and walked.
Their legs ached...their mind throbbed wildly...their heartbeat was the only source of comfort within such an eerie darkness and...silence.
BADUUMMP!!!!!
BADUUUUMMMPPP!!!!
Their heartbeat seemed to be their source of conviction...as they were all able to convince themselves...there is still hope.
'I am still alive...and when there is life, there's hope...and when there's hope. There's something to cling onto.'
Finero said with great determination, his eyes shun with a bizzare glint.
His legs steadfast and heavy...yet he didn't give up. His legs didn't stop moving. His entire body was weak...he was slowly despairing...he was slowly losing it.
Yet he held on...he didn't know what was holding him.
Perhaps the fact that he didn't want to die or perhaps the undying will that still resided within him...
His soul seemed to be the only conduit while his mind served as the fulcrum...his body serving as the base. He was able to move on...he was able to continue walking. The eerie silence, the endless abyss.
He was going to transverse it...no matter how long it took him.
No matter what he had to go through.. he would keep a hint of his sanity and stop himself from falling into...insanity.
Tap!!!
Tap!!!
BADUUUUMMMPPP!!!!!
His footsteps and heartbeat slowly started to synchronize...his deep inhalation and exhalation ringing out continuously. Becoming in tandem with his footsteps and heartbeat.
This seemed to serve as a gateway... a gateway out of the eternal abyss...out of the abyssal world that was slowly corroding his mind...
A portal slowly appeared before him...glittering with a bizzare glow. His eyes immediately lit up as he stepped into the portal with a light exhalation.
"Finally...it's all over." Finero murmured as the portal behind him immediately got closed...
Opening his eyes...he found himself back in the land of eternal darkness...except for the fact that this darkness was still very much appreciated...it still had a sort of comfort...it still had other World Evolvers to rely on.
There wasn't that eerie silence...that abyssal darkness that wanted to encroach upon his mind was finally gone...and gone forever may it be.'
He glanced at the only figure that had successfully made it out.. and most shocking. It was actually before him...he narrowed his brow as he didn't need to think twice to know who it is.
"Nameless..." His voice rang out...as a figure sitted on the ground, while staring at the distance suddenly turned back...
Indeed...it was none other than...Zeras.
"Oh- Finero. You're back." Zeras said before immediately turning back. His eyes never left the distance...almost as though he was seeing something that Finero wasn't seeing.
'What exactly is he staring at...' Finero mused with a narrowed brow as he immediately stared into the distance...and when he saw it...
He was innately filled with dread...terror. it felt as though he was before the greatest Nightmare. He could feel it, in a way he couldn't understand.
It was just like when one sees a devilish being...one doesn't need to be told to know it is one...
He could feel that intense eldritch energy being given off by the Bizzare garguantuan Nightmarish Tree.
"So that's the tree of Nightmare...the one behind all this."
Finero finally struggled to speak after removing his eyes away from the Nightmarish Tree.
The tree was not only nightmarish...it was truly humongous. He could see that they were so far away from the tree...yet they were still able to see the crimson dark tree. It seems to be a mix of darkness and blood...a rain of blood. This tree easily pierced through the skies...as it seems to be never-ending.
"Yeah...it's the Seouls Of Enthrallment." Zeras finally replied with a deep sigh. He paused for a second before he further added.
"It's not only the one responsible for the curse inflicting us...but it's probably also the one responsible for the anomality of the dream realm. The reason why the dream realm has become a complete opposite of what its name addresses it to be...is all because of the tree of nightmare. It is the one corrupting and...has already succeeded in corrupting the dream realm."
Finero had a raised brow before he suddenly spoke.
"Makes sense. With that sense of foreboding and unsettling...that nerved me just by staring at it...it is without a doubt an abominable terror. But how are you so sure it's the one that's responsible for the...corruption of the dream realm."
"Just instinct...and with the runes telling us to destroy it. I am a lil bit sure that it's the one behind the dream realm's anomality." Zeras replied with a nonchalant expression, as he simply kept staring at the Tree Of Nightmare.
Finero seemed to be in deep thought.
'Indeed what he said does makes sense.'
"But there's a problem that's baffling me right now." Finero spoke, a cold look in his eyes as he stared at the Seouls Of Enthrallment.
Zeras turned his head as he replied.
"And what's that..."
"How are we going to defeat such an abominable creature..."
Finero asked, immediately followed by a deep exhalation.
One should indeed commend Finero...he was actually able to think of fighting against such a terrifying creature.
One whereby just by looking at it would weaken one's will to fight...it would break apart one's resolve. One would feel as though they were going against the world itself.
It wasn't given the name...Seouls Of Enthrallment for nothing.
Yet this two men...a man filled with great resolve and one filled with...madness and perhaps a hint of craziness too.
Were both thinking of how to kill such an abomination...instead of formulating a plan to run away.
Such an action is indeed commendable...really commendable.
After a long period of silence...Zeras finally spoke.
"Leave that, to me and...Khain."
