Chapter 10: charms class
After Adam got to his room he practiced magic more with the help of his dark matter engine. In train the system put restrictions that he cannot use this engine to learn magic as a result he needs to rely on himself.
Now with the guidance of the dark matter engine he managed to do it very quickly in a couple of tries. The power of spells also increased quickly with the engine. Adam after some spell casting climbed to his bed and slept.
Luckily the boys and girls dorms are separated and the girls felt it's not right time to go to boys dorms to drag Adam with them. So they gave up for now. But they're planning to do it in a few days.
Adam who don't know this slept peacefully and woke the next day. He excersized his body for sometime as the dark engine suggested to stimulate the body to increase stamina and mana reserves.
Though it's only little and has to be done regularly it'll be an effective method. To increase mana more he needs to do ritual magic. Since Adam don't have many resources for now he can only give up.
Ritual magic is very complex and helpful magic. It can strengthen a magician's body and mana quality along with increasing its reserves. It's also dangerous too, if he didn't do it correctly it may give a backlash and hospitalize himself.
Other than rituals you can also exhaust your mana and make it grow little by little. There is also another way to increase mana quality by making contracts with fantastical beasts. Like Dumbledore who has a phoenix, the mark left the contract will influence your magic. Example for this kind of thing is the patronus which will be changed into the contracted beast form.
Then there is also bloodline fusion which is extremely dangerous that it can kill you. Merging with fantastical beasts blood is a very delicate process that needs complicated potions and rituals. Even ancient wizards will hesitate to do this as it's complexity is that high.
Another way is that they can devour special elixirs concoted by capable potioneeers. Like Snape, though it's also quite hard to make that kind of potion and it also needs a lot of time.
Of course black magic also provide ways for this like horcruxes which will corrupt your soul as it's split into many pieces but I'm exchange you'll gain a false immortality and huge amounts of corrupted mana from your own soul.
These are the ways the gamer system suggested. But it only gave him the ways not information. He needs to collect it with the dark matter engine. He needs to scan hundreds of books from the library.
Adam get ready and goes to the common room. He saw hungry wolf gazes on him. Gulping he wanted to silently slip away or retreat to his room. But someone beat him to it, Marietta edgecomb dragged the retreating Adam to their circle.
After some effort to escape then came to the great hall for breakfast since it's early there are very less people so nothing happened he came across the classroom of charms. A notification appeared as he saw the professor standing in the classroom near the door.

Adam greeted the professor and goes to take a seat. It's still half an hour before the class. He waited for others to arrive, not surprising that the first girls who arrived are susan bones and Hannah abbot.
Both the girls looked at him with a blush while Adam looked at them with a raised eyebrow. Girls these days learn those things very quickly is what he thought before recalling the standard book of spells.
As he is remembering the the contents, others also arrived. Adam's side seats are taken by Terry boot and Anthony Goldstein. But the girls Padma Patil and Lisa Turpin threatened then go away and sat beside him.
As the lecture started Flitwick first told them about dangers with wrong wand movements then demonstrated the movements one by one after it's the spellcasting he said and the accidents that happened in the past for mis-spelling.
As this is just the begining Flitwick told them about the basic wand movements for now before showing them the basic lumos spell and asking them try once. Adam did it and got 10 points and Flitwick looked a little too enthusiastic, meanwhile all girls in ravenclaw cheered for him before flicking to his side and asking him about how did he do it.
Adam told them about the correct process step by step, like first mobilising magic, then the movement of wand, the chant and lastly about their imagination. He made them do it step by step making Flitwick look at him amused how did a first year understood it's intent and imagination that made a spell control and manipulate its power.
