Chapter 22: 1 million gold notes
"Huh!?" Majin was slightly surprised when he heard the system's voice in his ear. It was the first time he had heard it since the system activated and provided him with some initial information. After that, it had been silent for about half a month.
{A/N: I actually wanted to write an MJ meme here, but I'll get canceled because of it, so nah.}
"What's your name?" Tsunade asked Majin as he descended the stairs. She wasn't surprised that Majin was awake, as she had already sensed his wakefulness and overheard his conversation with Shizune. After all, she is one of the three legendary Sannin.
"It's Majin, My lady," Majin replied as he appeared before Tsunade and sat on a chair opposite her. Seeing him do this shocked Shizune, as Majin had just vanished from her left and reappeared in front of her.
While Tsunade wasn't as shocked—knowing that jutsus for teleportation existed and even top-grade footwork jutsus could accomplish something like this—she was more interested in how the man in front of her had depleted his chakra.
Even using the weakest footwork capable of such feats took a massive amount of chakra, which normal shinobi don't have. And even if someone learned such footwork, they typically wouldn't dare use it just to greet someone.
"Are you from the imperialist side?" Tsunade asked Majin, looking him directly in the eyes. She suspected Majin was from the imperialist side because the phrase "my lady" is typically used there and only by nobles and royals.
This suggested that the man in front of her was most likely a noble. As for being a royal, she doubted those arrogant royals from the imperialist side would roam around like this. They were just too lazy and arrogant, according to her.
But nobles were not much better; they all acted like tyrants.

"Kind of," Majin replied, resting his chin on his right hand before adding, "You still haven't told me your name," although he already knew their names, but who wants to get exposed at the first meeting?
Hearing him made Tsunade smile a bit because it was the first time she saw someone like Majin. He was odd, somewhat like Jiraiya, but he also gave off vibes akin to Orochimaru.
"Tsunade, and over there is Shizune," Tsunade introduced herself and Shizune, clearly unafraid of Majin. She still thought he couldn't possibly be more powerful than her, a Sannin, right?
"Hmmm..." Majin seemed to ponder something to himself, though he was only pretending to think.
"I should really give you two something to thank you for helping me," Majin said as he grabbed the small bag he was carrying.
It was really small and strapped to his right leg, though it was big enough to store scrolls but not big enough for Shizune and Tsunade to notice and remove it when they tried to treat him.
And even if they had noticed, Tsunade wouldn't have removed it since she isn't someone to do something like that.
"You don't have to!" Tsunade said as she opened a bottle of vodka and started to drink it. She actually didn't care about what Majin would give her.
{A/N: But you will care when he gives you his D.}
"How does 1 million gold notes sound?" Majin said casually as he took out a scroll from his bag, which was filled with gold notes.
Cough.
Cough.
As soon as Tsunade heard this, the vodka came out of her mouth as she started to cough real hard, thinking about how much gambling she could do with that much money.
