Chapter 72: Chapter 72 - Preparing for final battle
Observing the two women, Ryuu could see Nezuko aura flared first bursting in bright pinkish burning flames. Her body seems to have acquired some tattoos around her similar to the one her demon form had.
This made Ryuu wonder if it was part of magic or something but nothing seemed to change from her Aura if she became more violent. Nezuko opened her eyes and felt her body was lighter than before, sensing a strange air around her.
Then she turns to see her mother flaring in golden light shimmering that produces a calming sensation. She wonders what magical energy is.
"How do you feel, Nezuko? Also congratulations on acquiring magic." Ryuu asked.
"What!? They gain magic just like that? How come it is so fast? They've only spent less than a month sensing magical energy."
Mitsuri exclaimed since she spent several months trying to gain magic and felt envious at how fast the two got their magic.
"I've already told Kanae the reason but I believe it's because she's fated to have power one or another." Ryuu explained.
"Is this what people call Plot armor?"
"No, I believe it's Plot Convenience."
Shinobu shared her thoughts upon seeing how much of a difference they had to work in order to gain magic while Kanae gave her opinion on the matter looking at the duo.
They couldn't help but feel envious of the two. Though, that doesn't mean they sulk just because it took them several times after then they did mean they were weaker than them.
The two may have acquired magic quicker doesn't mean their magic is the same level as Shinobu and Kie. The two still need to train in order to fully utilize their magic.
"I feel great! Do I have magic now since I saw those lights you're talking about?" Nezuko commented.
"You tell me. Now, Try imagining your magic in that palm of your hand like drawing water from a well or lake."
Nezuko did as told feeling the magical energy traveling through her body that was naturally moving then a loud *Whoosh* could be heard when a burst of blame came to be.
It was bright crimson-pinkish flames that mesmerized Nezuko then she noticed her body had gained the strange tattoo.
"What is this!?" Nezuko exclaimed.
"Calm down, it's probably just part of magic. Maybe it's some sort of magical circuit." Ryuu calms her down.
"Magical Circuits, what's that?" She was confused.
"To summarize, it just helps you flow the magical energy much more easily."
Ryuu explains even if he's not confident it was the case but believes there's no other explanation besides bullshit. Her flames are similar to her old Blood Demon Art seemingly burning other magical energy. She likes the living sun burning everything in the palm of her hand.
"You seem to have the same ability as your Demon self would have." Ryuu said.
"Is that why it's like I did it before?" Nezuko asked.
"Maybe but that's great news which means you could improve even further and maybe mold into different shapes and forms."
Nezuko nodded wanting to try her new magic but turned to see her mother finally finished and opened her eyes having the same sense of euphoria after acquiring Magic.
Kie felt the sensation completely different from Aura which was more feeling and similar to clothes while magic was difficult to explain.
"Kaa-san!? What do you think? It's amazing right!?"
She turned to look at her daughter who excitedly showed the magic in her hands. Kie was amazing seeing her daughter having a tattoo across her body but smiling seeing her daughter learn magic.
"Congratulations, Nezuko." Kie said.
"Nezuko, careful now! Your Kaa-san might get burned."
Shinobu warned her, making Nezuko take a step back rubbing the back of her in embarrassment.
"What magic did you get, Kie?"
Mitsuri asked curiously what someone would gain. Kie raised her brow before frowning as she had difficulty finding a way to use magic.
"How do I use magic? I can only feel something in the air but that's it." Kie said.
"Relax and let me explain."
Ryuu helped her out but just visualizing thinking one thing which was her desire to heal and help her lover with that a bright light particle suddenly absorbed Ryuu surprising him but then felt his body had greatly increased.
"Ryuu-kun are you alright? I saw the magical energy inside you?" Kie said.
"Kaa-san is everything alright?" Nezuko asked.
"I'm fine, just a bit shaken when I felt something left my body."
Meanwhile, Ryuu was in deep thought analyzing Kie magic since his intuition is telling him it wasn't what he thought it was.
"Hmmm I don't know what your magic is but I assume since you've wanted to help rather than fight, it is likely an enchantment magic which enhances and assists other people. Kie can you tell me what you thought while using your magic?" Ryuu said.
"Well, I wanted to help you get stronger." Kie said.
"Can you do it again but this time imagine me becoming faster? Afterward virtualize healing me? Then try imagining stealing energy from me."
If his theory is correct then Kie would be the most vital part in combat as she can debuff and buff someone. Kie nodded and did as told, imagining it that surprisingly work letting Ryuu move quicker and when he took damage or had fatigue was healed afterwards felt his body was drained by Kie.
"Kie did you feel any energy absorbed by you?" Ryuu asked.
"Yes but just a bit." Kie said with a strained voice.
"Ryuu, what is Kie's magic?"
Mitsuri asked him curiously.
"It's probably Life Magic that let her assist us in battle. I don't know the extent but I believe she would be able to revive the dead. Though, it's likely won't work on people who have long been dead."
Ryuu added even though she knows that Kie has no plans on reviving her late husband. Meanwhile, Kie listened and was so awed that her wish came true.
"That's amazing Magic, Kie." Kanae said.
"Thank you, Kanae. Still I have a long way to go until I could be a big help as after using magic for only three times makes me feel sluggish." Kie panting as she exert some of her mana.
"That's normal since your body is still getting used to magic."
Shinobu reassured her that it wasn't something to be ashamed of. Naturally, she had a strong body to begin with, which is why the effect wasn't the same as Kie when she first used her magic.
"Alright, why don't we have a break and continue to train."
They nodded, heading back to the mansion to have some snacks and prepare dinner.
"Hold on, who won? Me or Mitsuri?"
Shinobu then realized that they still hadn't decided who's the winner for Ryuu's chest sleeping position.
"It's clearly me, right, Ryuu?"
Mitsuri moves her way to wrap her arms around Ryuu while making a puppy dog's eyes. Shinobu veins seeing the bold action of her opponent and takes the other side.
"No, it was me!? I won!" Shinobu said.
"Wait wait! You two are pulling me apart!!"
Ryuu shouted as the two tried their best to pull him to their side while the rest of the girls laughed at his misfortune.

Time flew by and Ryuu had finally reached the final conclusion of his stay in Demon slayer. He looked at the Demon slayer below who was hungry for battle and spotted Tanjiro beside Kanao and Surprisingly Aoi.
Ryuu was on top of wooden platforms with the Hashira standing close by including Kagaya who was fully healed and held a blade to fight with them.
"My Fellow Demon Slayer! Today is the day we shall exterminate the demons that stole those live one's we've lost!! We shall show the power of a human!!"
He screamed that inspired them to remember why they were here. Ryuu needed to accumulate their faith for his future plans of acquiring divinity.
His no way of being sure it would work but it was the try for his future strength. In that moment the Demon Slayer raised their fist and screamed in the bottom of their heart the pain and anguish that demon did.
"Use your love and memories of those you've lost a strength as I know they are watching you journey till the end! May those fallen rest in nirvana and those that live fight for their memories!"
The Hashira smirked and smiled knowing it was the endgame as they stood up preparing for war.
"Now Follow me!"
Ryuu soon led the squadron of Demon Slayer towards where Muzan was hiding. He was walking when Shinobu and Mitsuri moved to his side.
"You're quite the spokesperson~, My dear." Shinobu said.
"Was I now? I prepared it early today." Ryuu rubbed the back of his hair.
"You look really charming when you say your speech."
He smiled as the two wrapped their arms around him and ignored Obanai's sad expression feeling a bit guilty stealing her from him but he seemed content seeing Mitsuri happy. Ryuu could only pray for his well being.
