Chapter 19: Now Home
Now home Izuku was just barely taking off his shoes when he was grabbed by Bakugo and taken to his room. "What the hell?"
"You, powers, speed, explain, again!" Said Bakugo.
"Alright alright relax," Izuku took a deep breath. "Where do I even start?"
"Start by telling me how you have powers. Last time I checked you were quirkless." Said Bakugo as he sat down in his desk chair.
"Technically I still am, Recovery Girl just checked. That's actually why I was called into the office, they wanted to find out how I have powers. And I'll tell you what I told them, I don't know." Said Izuku. "My best guess is that the lightning bolt that hit me somehow changed me and gave me powers. That and the batch of chemicals I fell in."
Bakugo scoffed, "That's some bs if you ask me. So for how long?"
"Since I woke up. It happened for the first time when that nurse fell, everything around me slowed down almost to a halt. After that I figured out I had super speed when I saved Hatsume from some falling metal pieces. Ever since then she's been helping me learn and control my powers." Izuku explained.
"Why? Why would you keep this from me, from the old hag and old man?" Asked Bakugo.
Izuku looked away, "I didn't want to worry you guys. Suddenly finding out that I have powers, it would have worried them. And that's something I don't want to do."
"You idiot, we are always worried about you. Ever since you came to this house we've been worrying about you." Izuku looked at Bakugo. "All they wanted, what we wanted, was to keep you safe. Now that you have powers…"
Izuku saw what Bakugo was trying to get at, "I'm not going anywhere Kachan, what you've done for me is something I can't ever repay. I'm still me and I will always need you guys in my life."
Bakugo smirked, "You're Goddamn right, without us you'd be so lost."
Izuku laughed, "I will neither confirm nor deny that."
"So, how fast are you?" Asked Bakugo.
"Fast, very fast." Said Izuku.
"Show me." Green lightning then began to appear around Izuku's body as he quickly ran out of the house.
Not even 15 seconds had gone by when Izuku came back. "Here." He then tossed something at Bakugo.
Catching whatever it was Bakugo's eyes widened, "There's no way." There in his hand was the ball he threw earlier that day. He knew it was his because of the scorch marks on it caused by his explosion.
"See I told you, I'm very fast." Said Izuku. However as Izuku talked about his speed he didn't notice that someone was watching him.
Looking out of the window you could find a three story house just a few houses down. There was nothing unusual about the house, except for the fact that there was someone standing on the roof.
Their eyes beaming red and their entire face and body vibrating at a speed that distorted their appearance. "Yes, get stronger Izuku, care about people more. That just means you'll have more people who will miss you when I kill you!" The mystery person spoke in a distorted voice, you couldn't tell if they were a man or a woman.
With red lightning crackling around the person they took off, within seconds the person ran all around the nearby city. Finally stopping in an alley they were caught up by a hero. "Stop right there! Illegally using your quirk without a hero license is a crime. Please come with me…"
However before the hero could even react the mystery person ran at them. That's when a crunching noise was heard. The hero looked down only to see a hand going through his torso.
"W-What did you do to me?" Asked the hero as their eyes rolled behind their head.
Pulling their arm free the mystery person revealed a human heart in their hand. "I swear by everything by the time I'm done, I will crush you and everything you love…" that's when the mystery person vibrated their hand causing the heart to burst. "Just like you did to me."
Turning the mystery person once again took off, leaving nothing but red lightning behind. Reports of this mystery person would spring up an hour later but every time a hero would investigate they would be long gone.
