Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - LOSER
What's your name?
"My name...?
I think my name is Sayano. I'm 5'10, just a little bit chubby, and I have brown eyes and a buzz-cut hair, if you even care. To be honest, I don't even know anymore. I went to this school with high expectations, I thought I would get so many friends... But unfortunately, not even a single soul talked to me even once.
When people talk to me, all of it is just about work and school stuff. Fuck, man, I wanna have friends so bad... Why does no one talk to me? Why am I so unpopular? I didn't even do anything wrong...
Is it because I'm poor? It's not my fault I'm the only one with a job in my house, it's not my fault my mother died from cancer and my father is an alcoholic bastard...
Is it because of my interests? It's not my fault that mangas and animes are awesome...
Is it my looks? Well, I guess that's one of the factors. Every time I look in the mirror, I notice everything. I notice my asymmetrical face, I notice my acne, I notice my round face, I notice my chubby cheeks...
I wanna puke every time I see my face... I'm scared thinking of the view from other people, they probably see me as a loser, well I mean, I am. Should I go to the gym? I wanna, but I'm scared, people there might get disgusted, they'd probably laugh at me...
I dunno man..."
"It's the last class, and to be honest, I don't wanna listen." Sayano thought to himself.
His eyelids try to close, but he fights the embrace of slumber back, probably because he doesn't wanna get scolded again...
Actually, no one would pay any mind when he gets scolded anyway... So there's no point... So he just puts his arm on the table and rests his head on his arms... And he just slept...
The school bell rings, and everyone excitedly leaves the room. Sayano, still sleeping, was left alone. The teacher packs up her stuff, and says loudly to Sayano "Hey, Sayano, it's dismissal time."
Sayano wakes up and springs up from his seat, he looks at his wristwatch, and it's already late, he bows and says "I'm sorry, Ms. Aiko!"
Ms. Aiko sighed and said, "Just go home and sleep, I can see that you need a rest."
Sayano smiles brightly, thanks Ms. Aiko, packs up his things, and leaves the classroom. Sayano walks through the webs of roads in this big city. He sees a vending machine and buys a can of soda.
He pulls out his earphones, listens to some rock music, and pops the can. He leans on the wall of the alleyway, and spots multiple people hanging out.
He sees friend groups walking and having fun. Sayano thought to himself, "Fuck, man... Why can't I be with some people...."
After drinking his soda, he throws it in a garbage can, properly segregating it. He walks home and sees a stray cat, digging up some trash.
Sayano smiles brightly and digs his backpack, there, he finds his chocolate bar, but he hesitates and pulls out his phone to search: "Can cats eat chocolate?"
After seeing the answer, he sighs disappointedly and stores his choco bar in his backpack again, still sad from not feeding a cat.
He kneels down near the cat and offers to pet the it, but when the cat sees him, it instantly runs away. Sayano, sad, stands up and leaves to go home.
He arrives at his little home, and there, a little boy, his brother, greets him, "Welcome home brother!!!"
Sayano smiles and greets back, "I'm home, Katsu."
Katsu smiles and asks him excitedly, "What are we having for dinner?!"
Sayano digs into his backpack and pulls out a plastic bag, smeared with grease, and says proudly, "We're eating fried chicken!"
Katsu smiles widely and runs circles around the living room.
Sayano smiles and goes into the bathroom to dress up.
Sayano prepares the rice and plates.
"Dinner is here, Katsu!" Sayano exclaims.
Katsu rushes from outside, probably playing with his fake and off-brand Beyblades.
Katsu sits down on the floor and eats with his brother.
The Living room in their house is basically where everything happens. The cooking, the sleeping, and the eating are in the living room.
They live in a small house, with the bathroom the only one separated.
After a while, they both enjoyed their meal, and Sayano cleaned up the table. After cleaning up the table, he carried it and rested it on the wall, pulled out a small futon from the cabinet, and laid it down on the floor.
Sayano sleeps on the floor while Katsu sleeps on the futon. After a while, a loud knock was heard from the door.
Immediately, Sayano wakes up Katsu and hides him in the closet. This is it, his father is back home again.
His father loudly exclaimed, "SAYANO! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"
Sayano opens the door, revealing a huge and plump man, obviously drunk.
"Dad..." Sayano said to his father.
His father slaps Sayano and says to him, "Hey... I lost all my money on betting... Gimme your money..." his words clearly slow from drunkness.
Sayano hesitantly pulls out his wallet and gives half of his money, hiding the other half from his father.
His father said, "Good, hehehe... Listen, Sayano... When I win the lottery, I'll buy a mansion and make us live there happily!"
His father leaves again, staggering from the influence of alcohol.
Sayano closes the door and comforts Katsu.
They both sleep.
Morning comes, and Sayano wakes up early to prepare breakfast and dress up. He wakes Katsu up and they eat their breakfast.
Sayano, running out of time, urges Katsu to speed up eating. After this, Sayano walks Katsu to his school, and Sayano walks to his school as well.
Another day done.

oh and if you're wondering, there's a good parent in Katsu's school that drives Katsu to his home, since his classmate's house is on the same route. So yeah, Katsu is walked by Sayano in the morning, while being driven home by another parent. lol love u guys
