Chapter 26: Little Accident!

Before going to the library to borrow books, Kazutora and Kurenai decided to eat at a restaurant first.

Kurenai chose the restaurant where dango were available as dessert, and the duo had a hearty meal.

Walking out of the restaurant, Kazutora held dango sticks in his hand, and Kurenai beside him had a thoughtful look on her face.

They both walked in the direction of the library and reaching there, Kurenai stopped.

Her eyes fell on the guard, and she talked about taking Kazutora to the library. The guard looked at the Chunin Forehead protector, and the Kazutora for a moment, and then he allowed them to enter the library.

Even though the guard looked like a normal man, Kazutora knew that the guard couldn't be normal as he could feel some pressure from him.

'A Jonin as guard, and many must be hidden in Shadow.' Kazutora thought in his mind, and he walked with Kurenai inside the library.

He was allowed to move to the section where civilians were allowed, and Kurenai moved towards the Ninja section and looked for the books that Kazutora had asked for.

Kazutora looked around the books, and he noticed that most of the books, even in the civilian section were of Will of Fire, and even after checking the books for ten minutes, he didn't find any books that were useful to him, or the ones that he didn't have.

A sigh escaped his lips, and he sat down on the seat, waiting for Kurenai to come as he knew that there was no point in looking for books here.

It didn't take long for Kurenai to arrive, and she held several books in her hand. Kazutora looked at the titles of the books, and he saw that they were about Fuinjutsu, Manufacturing, Materials, and an encyclopedia.

"Are they okay? There were more but they could only be read by Jonins." Kurenai said, and Kazutora nodded at her words.

"They are okay," he said after thinking for a moment, and the duo after Kurenai borrowed the books and registered herself.

Leaving the library, Kurenai looked at Kazutora for a moment and asked, "Do you want to look around or go back?"

"Let's look around for some more time," Kazutora said while looking at the Hokage Mountain, and Kurenai followed his vision.

"Want to go there?" She asked, and Kazutora nodded at her words. Kurenai smiled at his nod, and they walked towards the Hokage Mountain. It took them thirty minutes to reach there as they took it slow, and reaching the top, Kazutora looked at the scenery with his eyes shining.

Even though he had seen better scenes in his past life, the scene in front of him had some nostalgia for Kazutora, and he compared this to the anime scene he had seen in his past life.

'It looks a lot different, as 12 years later, Konoha had developed a lot more, but the essence feels the same.'

Kazutora thought in his mind, and he sat down on the ground. Kurenai looked at Kazutora, and she felt that Kazutora was looking at the scene in front of him like a spectator that is detached from reality.

She didn't know why but she sat beside him and held his hands, and she felt that Kazutora's body temperature was cold.

"Kazu," Kurenai called him, but Kazutora didn't listen to her words. Her expression changed and she used sensory perception to check his chakra, and the result astonished her.

Unlike the usual warm and sunny chakra that Kazutora had, the current Kazutora's chakra was violent, cold and chilly. She used her chakra to disperse Kazutora's chakra flow as Kurenai noticed that Kazutora had instinctively used a Genjutsu on himself.

When Kurenai disrupted his chakra flow, she saw Kazutora closing his eyes, and his body fell on her. The chakra in his body had returned to a normal state, and it became usual warm and sunny.

Kurenai checked Kazutora's body, and she didn't find anything strange. Looking around, she used sensor chakra to check the area, but she didn't find anyone in the place. Holding him in her hand, Kurenai rushed back to her house, and in a few minutes, she reached the house.

She put Kazutora on the bed with no expression on her face, and Kurenai muttered, "If he won't wake up in 30 minutes, I will take him to the hospital."

Kurenai had repeatedly checked his body, and chakra but she didn't find anything chakra. He looked like he was sleeping, and this is why Kurenai didn't take him to hospital first.

Five minutes later, Kazutora woke up with a heavy headache, and he heard a voice.

"Here, drink water first."

Taking the glass, Kazutora drank the water, and he gave the glass to Kurenai.

"What happened to me? Where am I?" Kazutora muttered while rubbing his head, and Kurenai looked at him with a distressed look on her face.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Kurenai asked, and Kazutora started to remember what happened before. He remembered going to Hokage Mountain, and when he was thinking about the past and present, he received the memories of a Shadow clone.

Two memories were about Genjutsu practice and Kazutora's expression changed when he remembered the third one. The third clone had to use Sensor Mode to check the changes in chakra, and in the process, the clone unconsciously absorbed the Natural Energy around him.

Later because of excess natural energy, the clone dispersed on its own, and the natural energy was transferred to him in the process.

The two clones dispersed themselves to make Kazutora aware of the situation. When he received the memories, Kazutora attempted to control his chakra, but he noticed that it had started to react with Natural energy.

As for what happened later, he didn't know, and Kazutora looked at Kurenai with a weird look on his face.

"What was my state? I received the memories of Shadow clone and then I don't know what happened to me." Kazutora said and he didn't mention anything about the Natural Energy. He could only curse the clone in his heart for not paying attention to matter, and he understood that he needed to be cautious when using Sensor mode.

"Your chakra becomes violent, cold, and chilly. I thought that you had used a Genjutsu on yourself, so I disrupted your chakra flow. Then you lost your consciousness and your chakra returned to your previous state."

"I checked your body and chakra, but there was no problem, so I brought you to the house!"

"If you hadn't woken up in thirty minutes, I would have taken you to the hospital."

Kurenai said everything with a frown on her face and she asked, "Kazu, what were your clones doing?"

"They were practising Genjutsu and the other one was sensing the chakra change."

"Hmm? Didn't I say not to practice Genjutsu on your own? Was the clone in Genjutsu when it had dispersed itself?" Kurenai asked, and Kazutora remembered the details and nodded at her.

"But, when it dispersed itself, the chakra flow had been disturbed so it must be out of Genjutsu," Kazutora asked, and Kurenai frowned at the words.

She didn't know the answer as she hadn't seen this case, and Kazutora was the same.

They became silent, and then Kurenai asked, "You didn't answer my question. Why were you practicing Genjutsu alone??"

"Uh! Eh! I wanted to start practising Yin release," Kazutora said while scratching his cheeks, and he couldn't think of any reason. He was practising because he wanted to, that's something he knew that he couldn't say.

Kurenai looked at Kazutora for a moment and sighed. Only now she understood that Kazutora isn't as obedient as he seems, and he has already developed an independent personality on his matters.

"I don't know if you should be angry at me for not listening to me, or if I should be happy that you have grown up and formed your views," Kurenai murmured and Kazutora looked at her with a surprised look on his face.

"You rest for now, we will talk about this later," Kurenai said as she walked out of the room, and Kazutora lay down on the bed and looked at the ceiling.

"She seemed disappointed," Kazutora murmured, and he cursed the clone for not paying attention to the matter.

"But this means that even using Shadow Clones to test the technique and other matters isn't safe."

"Sighh! I don't know what to do now," Kazutora said while turning around and he closed his eyes.

He used sensory perception to look around and he found Kurenai in her room sitting on the bed. Her shoulders were trembling, and from her chakra, Kazutora could feel her anger, sadness and some disappointment.

"I made a mistake," Kazutora muttered, and he switched off the sensory perception. He knew that even if he didn't want to, he did something that made Kurenai sad, and Kazutora didn't know what to say in this situation.

Getting up, he went outside the room, and standing on Kurenai's room door, he knocked it.
