Chapter 11: 11-A Sword

The still storm was imposing, the cold did not advance any further but from Evan's distance from the storm it was enough to feel, and see the cold winds it emitted.

His red hair fluttered back, and from time to time his hair intruded on his view.

At that a shadow in the white storm blurred, it was a person by the contours of the shadow, but at this distance, he could not see his face.

When he finally emerged from the storm a thin but muscular man appeared, at his waist a cold metallic blue sword was held in the man's hands. The man's face was covered by a worn and torn hood.

But his clothing was flawless, there was no stain or tear on his steel and leather garment. His chest and wrists were guarded with a steel cloak, while what else of his body was in a simple leather garment, a shirt, and pants.

The man covered by the worn hood, watched the sky covered with gray clouds that were swallowed by the storm.

Suddenly from the sky, 100 swords appeared and swiftly approached the man in the storm.

Without hesitation or thought, the man took his sword at his waist and brandished it, the cold increased the moment he did so and Evan could feel his hands much colder than before, being able to see a light layer of frost on his palms.

When Evan looked back at the man, he had already left these swords stuck in the ground, and from their hilt a red liquid came out of these swords.

The man went through the sea of swords that surrounded him and attacked, but without worry, he was able to deflect each attack, each slash he made leaving a streak of ice on the ground.

As each of the swords finished falling the man blew out a light sigh and continued his walk, the storm followed the man.

Evan at that moment understood that the man and the storm were one and the same being. He was the storm and the storm was him.

When he was finally only 10 meters away from Evan, he could recognize his face.

It was his own face, but at the same time, Evan could not feel entirely the same as him, this version of himself.

His ordinary skin wasn't pale like his.

His eyes were gray, they were not red like his.

When the man reached 9 meters close to him, he disappeared like an illusion, and in that same instant without noticing he saw that the storm was already 10 meters away from him.

The storm swallowed him, it didn't freeze him and it didn't send him flying, instead its cold wind caressed Evan's body as if it were an ordinary wind.

But the stone where he was sitting was destroyed by the winds themselves, causing him to fall to the ground.

When he got up and looked around him, he could only see the wind of the storm.

In a few minutes, he managed to observe that which was in the eye of the storm, that which shelters and protects inside.

Three different civilizations.

Differentiated by their dress and appearance. In the middle, men and women with long clothes that covered from their shoulders to the soles of their feet, their appearance was that of scholars.

With just a glance Evan felt wisdom at the sight of them.

On the right, women, only women, tall in bronze armor, and holding multiple weapons. Spears, swords, sabers, hammers, among others.

At the sight of them, Evan felt courage and security.

On the left side, there were men and women, wearing common clothes and some wearing iron armor.

Evan felt wisdom and security, among the three groups only this one had a little of both but they did not match the warrior presence that the women on the right had and neither did the wisdom of the middle group.

When he was finally able to fully see each group inside the storm his view was blocked by several winds, returning to a state similar to the beginning. Alone in a snow-covered place as the storm had passed.

In his head, a whisper came.

"Do I have the strength to take care of you all?"

His voice echoed out into the world, it seemed as if the world itself spoke, and his own voice echoed throughout the place.

Evan didn't know if he had to answer but he still did.

"I don't have it, I don't have the strength to care for anyone, not himself or anyone else."

His voice was followed by a parallel voice as if the voice in his head was saying those very words.

As he blinked, he saw himself again. His adult version is similar and different at the same time.

This time he felt watched as if the one in front of him was not an illusion or a dream, but a real being. Its piercing, sharp eyes like those of an experienced warrior watched him without pause.

Evan felt no privacy, a strange feeling when you see yourself.

His adult version smiled at him in a slight way, a smile that spoke more than 1000 words. Unknown to Evan himself.

His adult version, took off his torn cloak, making his body fully visible, with his eyes closed and a steady breath he began to control his aura.

The aura circled steadily throughout the body, being expelled with each breath a cold air that fluttered throughout the body, the cold air mixed with his own aura, strengthening the body both internally and externally.

The demonstration was short but at the same time quick, and concise enough for Evan to learn.

[Aura control technique learned]

[Storm Control]

The window did not appear in front of Evan nor did it emit any sound, Evan stayed focused and without realizing it, he began to apply the aura control.

When the adult version of Evan finished his demonstration, he smiled again and closed his eyes, peace had come to him. He unbuckled the belt where his sword was attached and left it lying on a stone.

The sword was not stuck, nor was it hidden, it was lying on a stone in plain sight, surrounded by a great storm that did not allow easy access.

When he blinked again, Evan was again surrounded by a cold liquid and in his sight a woman with long white hair and a cold expression, her eyes did not show emotions nor her intentions.

She was different from the maids, who had a cold personality but still with that cold personality Evan could understand her emotions.

"Hmmm, amazing you learned to control your aura without a guide," Said the woman in front of him, with a monotonous and bored tone.
