"Fufufu, so you've done it." Yukime clapped and congratulated Otto after becoming the champion of the festival.
"Yeah, and don't enlist me in another tournament. It's annoying."
Though he had a little bit of fun using Mahoraga, it wasn't enough to satisfy his urge to have a thrilling fight.
'Hmph, at this point. Only high-end anime villains are worth fighting...'
"No." She refused as she planned to make him participate in another event.
"Why?"
"You don't know? You didn't even promote my business during the speech you had and only bragged about yourself." She gave a menacing smile at him.
"Ain't no way I'm promoting a hostess business in a speech. A speech that anyone of all ages could be listening. I might get canceled for it."
"It's just a business, those children would probably visit once they've grown up." Yukime shrugged.
"For what?"
"I don't know... Maybe they'll soon learn that as they grow up they would need someone to chat with. When that happens, that's when would our business comes into play. As they are our targeted customers."
"That's... Messed up, boss. That's almost just like, profiting on men's depression..."
"Hmph, I thought you learned a lot from me during these years... Turns out your wayyy— too soft. Kid, sometimes you need to be cruel when you want to be successful, that's the only way for a person to climb to the top."
'Considering the things she'd been through, that would be understandable for her. Unlike me who grew up in a well-off house, where I then forced myself to be edgy and did some emo acts which were cringe-worthy...' Otto sighed, remembering the cringe-worthy and scummy moments he did back then.
"So man up will you? And do you still hold onto that imaginary girlfriend of yours? If not you should try and get Marie."
Even though Otto kept telling her that he already had someone, but persisted as she hadn't seen her nor did she suspect the blue flame around him was Brynhildr.
"I told you Brynhildr is real. It's just that, due to her current circumstance people can't see her..."
"Heh, right. Or perhaps you meant Edelweiss, she's also sometimes called Brynhildr you know because of her abilities. She's like a Valkyrie once she engages in a fight. I figured it's her you're talking about since you've called her out on your speech yesterday."
"No. I genuinely just want to give her a letter."
"Hehe— a love letter~" Yukime finds teasing Otto quite enjoyable, whenever she got the chance to see him.
"I'm serious about the letter...it's not a love letter..." Otto replied in annoyance, to Yukime who was hiding her smirk behind the fan.
"So, where do you two love birds be meeting?"
"I said it's not a lo— oh..." Otto realized he had forgotten the part where he and Edelweiss were meeting... That is only if she decides to find him.
"Fufu, you forgot to mention it during your speech did you?"
"Hmph whatever, she'll manage to find me."
'She is connected with rebellion, a famous crime syndicate in the world of Chivalry of a Failed Knight and is also one of three major powers in the verse. Edelweiss might just ask them to find my location, which isn't hard. Not like I'm hiding from anyone or anything.'
"Make sense."

"This Otto guy... Do you think we could make him join us?" Wallenstein a middle-aged man, with short grey hair and scars over one of his eyes, proposed to their group.
"A goody two shoes like him might just make us his target. But we could just make him my puppet, his abilities are quite strong don't you agree Edelweiss?" Or-gaule one of the rebellion executives like Wallenstein replied.
Edelweiss just shot a look at him, telling him to go ahead and try.
She got the feeling that dealing with Otto was much more troublesome than other people might see it, as after she had watched all his matches during the festival.
It was said that his noble art (Disaster Flame) didn't use any magic, despite having an A-Rank status. Otto's recorded statistics from the Bokyouku Academy were all A-rank except, for luck which was left unknown as they just left it as F-rank.
Normally F-rank status with several A ranks, Otto is quite a rarity as most of the trashiest blazers have at least E-rank luck.
Either his luck was so bad that he would get into constant trouble, or that his luck was so high that even the system couldn't properly record it.
But that situation was unlikely as even Shinomiya Akane a student from Kyoumon Academy has the only recorded S-rank in luck. Since his device called Nameless Glory has the ability of fate manipulation, with only a thought he could make the situation in his favor. It is also possible that he could destroy or send the world into chaos...
"No comment," Edelweiss replied as she didn't like Or-Gaule's method of pulling people into their shady organization. Not to mention, a child.
The reason why she's working with them is because she has a debt to repay to the leader of the organization, this was due to her noble art, Rule of Grace which makes both persons make a promise in front of her device, Testament. If one of the two breaks that promise, that said person would be punished by getting their heart torn apart, causing an immediate death. She of course wasn't immune to its effects as well.
"Hahahah, You're still soft Ms. World Strongest Swordswoman. Even though you're the most wanted criminal in this room, that even the authorities gave up because you were too strong." Or-Gaule clapped amusingly at her boring reply.
"Being kind won't get you anywhere Twin-wings. Not when you're the antagonist of this world... But, who knows~ maybe that kindness would be the surest path to your dethronement from the strongest." He mocked, trying to get a reaction from her.
But Edelweiss wasn't interested in his taunts as she just shrugged it off.
"I think we should do that... With his ability, our goals might be much easier to achieve with his assistance." Wallenstein doesn't see the bigger problem with dealing with Otto as he only sees the outside view of the man.
"Great! Then that settles it~. I think Ms. Edelweiss should be perfect to confront him right? He, after all, needs to give something to her. A perfect chance to capture him." Or-Gaule stated.
Upon hearing that, Edelweiss frowned as she felt disgusted when she was asked to trick a person who was looking for her to become a puppet for them to use.
'I'm sorry in advance, Otto boy.' She couldn't refuse any favor from them, because of her Rule of Grace.

"Hello, Master-Inshun." Otto smiled at the bald monk.
"Huhuhu, so that's how it is..." Inshun smirked, as Otto was back at the Houzouin Temple for a rematch.
Not waiting any longer...
"Jumonji Yari."
With violent winds, Inshun summoned his spear, pointing towards Otto's direction.
"Blade of Tathagata."
Upon summoning his katana, bright gold flames encircled around the field, preventing them from escaping.
"Is this your territory creation?" Inshun seemed impressed by Otto's borrowed simple domain.
"Kind of."
"Haa— I see, then I should do mine as well."
Inshun swept his spear around and created an air dome around Otto's flame as it gradually got weak from the pressure.
"Air beats fire. Don't you know?" Inshun smirked as he charged towards Otto, leaving after images behind.
"Broad Cold Palace."
The horizontal slash stopped Inshun in his tracks as he knew the lethality of Otto's Cresent blades.
"What an annoying ability you got there... Cardinal Winds!"
Inshun attempts to blow away the moon blades by releasing an Omni-directional razor wind.
'His winds got more violent and stronger than last time... And this time... He's not underestimating me.' Otto smiled as he got Inshun to get serious unlike last time, when he got played around.
"Northern Winds." He thrusted his spear upward as it created a sonic boom that sent Otto slightly back.
"Eastern Winds." A quick sweep around Inshun, blew out Otto's flames as it gathered around dust in the air in an attempt to block Otto's vision. But wasn't effective as he had completely absorbed Rasiel into his body, giving him a clear vision.
'Damn, he's much faster than Touka who moves fast. Baldy isn't going to give me any room to make a move.' Otto complained as Inshun was about to make another move.
"Western Winds."
"Moonlight's Reflection."
An air cannon and a twin-moon blade slash collided, as for the first time some of Otto's moon blades were repelled.
"What do you seek?" Inshun suddenly spoke as an afterimage formed beside him.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm asking what do you fight for?" Inshun slowly walked towards Otto as more and more afterimages formed.
"Heh." He just smirked at his words as he summoned his Bokken.
"For fun. Just like you." Otto was bored dealing with weak swordsmen, as they just fought to become the strongest. Which he now considers as a waste of time.
"Hahaha hahaha! That's it!"
Inshun's purple aura burst forth, as he covered himself in razor winds.
"Behold, Otto Apocalypse. I'll show you my true noble art." Inshun took a form, as all 10 of his afterimage did different forms.
"Come and show me." He beckoned him, before summoning the Dharmachakra above his head.
"Oboro Urazuki."
'That's his noble phantasm...' Otto widened his eyes as he recognized it from the game.
The next thing Otto knew... Inshun was already in front of him, ready to skewer him once more.
"Twin Sun Fang: Heaven's Path." Two searing slashes were thrown downward, as Inshun immediately propelled himself away by blasting himself with his wind.
"That was close..." Inshun stated while looking at the molten ground.
"You would've been turned into ashes if you didn't dodge it." He was impressed by his reaction time after Inshun used his noble art/phantasm.
"Fair enough." Inshun patted the dust in his clothes, before disappearing from Otto's sight.
"That's not gonna work this time." Otto smirked as predicted Inshun's path. Which was behind him.
"Rising Frost Moon." Releasing moon blades from his front and back, catching Inshun off guard for a moment, before he tried to counter the blades.
*KLNK*
"Inverted Moon. Dragon Fang. Eyes of Wisdom. Apocalypse."
Otto tried to chant to increase his curse energy output for a moment before he unleashed.
"Bakunawa!" He released a long horizontal slash, which rained down moon blades to Inshun, who just took a stance to defend against the incoming blades.
"Eastern Winds... Cardinal Winds... Western Winds..." Inshun spammed his techniques just to prevent the moon blades from cutting him, which might result in his loss.
"This is nuts." Inshun gritted his teeth.
"Game Over, Master Inshun." Otto crept behind Inshun using the copied movement technique from Nene and Touka.
"Haaaaaa—!?" Inshun's face grimaced as Otto gave him the 1-inch punch, sending him away with a cracked rib.
"I have the privilege, of defeating the Master of the Houzouin Temple." After Otto emerged victorious with minimal injuries, he bowed in respect.
