Chapter 40: 40 Sacred Gear Hunting (1)
*Knock* *knock*
Otto is now at the front door of a fallen angel's den at a not-so-suspicious-looking bar.
"Who's there?" A voice belonging to a middle-aged man.
"The visitor from the Grauzauberer I guess."
After he asked Reni where Vali had been hanging out, Reni told him to identify himself as a visitor from where she was affiliated.
"Ah, hold on... So you're Ice Princess' other young brother hahaha—" Azazel a man with black hair, gold bangs, and a black goatee, wearing a long maroon V-neck coat. Welcomed him inside.
"Yes, if that's what she told you..."
"Well, so what do you want from my white dragon emperor?" Azazel immediately got on to the point, as he remembered that Vali had picked a fight with Otto back then.
"Nothing... I just want to see his sacred gear, hoping for inspiration." Otto lied with a straight face.
"Just that?" To which Otto nodded.
"Oh... It's just that Vali is currently away right now for a mission he recently took which is near Kyoto... Care for a drink?" Azazel offered him a glass of whiskey.
"No, I'm underaged." One thing about him was that despised drinking alcohol in both his current and past life.
"That's too bad... Anyway, if you don't mind, you can wait here for Vali after he's back from his mission you can have some fallen angel accompany you if you want. Or you can just go and find him yourself." Azazel smirked, wanting to know Otto's taste in women.
"I'll have to find him then." It was a perfect chance to see the Divine Dividing in action.
"I see. But you know... Having to sleep with a fallen angel is quite rare you know." He mischievously stated.
"That is true... But I'm not interested in cheating." Shaking his head he prepared to leave.
"I mean, she's not gonna know if no one would tell eh?"
"She even knows what we have been talking about, so I don't think that applies to her..." He was very aware that Brynhildr could see or hear everything he perceived as they were both connected.
"Really?" Azazel didn't detect any kind of device that Otto had.
"Really really. Oh before I leave, would you mind sharing your knowledge of magic?" Wanting to grab as much information as he could get from him.
"I have some interesting things... But you'll need to pay something equal for those." Azazel replied in an amused tone.
"I see... I don't have much, but I got this cool ring." Otto quickly made a ring that only cost a minimal amount of his authority, which had the effect of feeling high to the wearer.
"Oh? The effect is certainly magical to a normal human... But it's barely effective against supernatural beings like me. I guess I can accept this as a payment." Intending to not be picky he accepted Otto's magical ring.
"So what kind of knowledge you would want to know?" He asked.
"Synthetic human body with the use of souls?"
Otto wasn't expecting a piece of huge information about it from him, as his payment was barely interesting enough.
"Hmmm..." Azazel thought for a moment, about what kind of info should be given to him as an equal.
"Synthetic human body... That subject is not that really popular nowadays. Since the majority of their researches are all somewhat failed so they adapt towards Homunculus instead."
Azazel shrugged as he wasn't knowledgeable in that area, nor was he interested in making a life form like his father.
"Then, what about Homunculus?" Otto replied. 'Every piece of crumbs still matters.'
"Well, how should I put this?.. I heard this from an old magician friend of mine, he said that there are two ways to artificially create a human being.
The first is with the use of a philosopher's stone, and the second is from a semen or something that contains lifeforce... As for the procedure? Don't know."
"What about the phil—"
"Hey hey, kiddo. You're asking for too much already, the second one is already a bonus from me. If you want to know more about it, then I'm afraid you need to pay more valuable things..."
"Then are you interested in sacred gears?"
Otto asked as he knew for a fact that Azazel had been researching the creations of his father, to the point that he could make some sacred gears that weren't connected to Heaven's system.
"I sure am."
"Then would you want some sacred gears as a payment in our next business?"
"Heck yeah! Call me if you have any. Maybe I could let you test out some of my self-made sacred gears."
"Alright. I'll visit you next time..." With that, the two unexpectedly became business partners.
...
"You sure that you want to give away sacred gears to the Governor General of the Fallen Angels?" Brynhildr was still suspicious of Azazel because he was a fallen son of the Biblical God.
"I mean, there are a lot of sacred gears that are barely even used to me, so having them lying around unused is such a waste... Figured I'd exchange some for some knowledge in the future."
"I was under the impression that you would hoard that kind of thing." She sounded impressed.
'I was going to in the first place... But, maybe it would attract the attention of heaven if the stolen sacred gears still had their GPS on. As if stealing several Longinus sacred gears isn't already alerting enough for them.'
...
Arrived back at Kyoto, now on evening. Otto proceeded to find where Vali's mission took place as it is related to fighting with a magician faction.
"You didn't ask the fallen angel, where he is."
"Probably near an abandoned warehouse or an isolated area. Since those places are usually where anime fights take place." Using his anime logic, he was right on the spot where there were signs of magic being used.
Not long after he can hear, exaggerated anime shouts from the distance.
"Impossible! That's the Fallen Dog God and the Divine Dividing!" A bunch of magicians complained at the two Longinus wielders.
'Two Longinus at the same place? I think this is a jackpot in my book. Huhaha—' Otto let out a mischievous laughter in the dark.
"Just give up already, and we'll give you lot a painless death," Vali stated boorishly, as he wasn't interested in the weakling in front of him.
"Tsk, dream on. Even if there are two Longinus' wielders after us, we'll never yield to you foolish children." They glared at them for being born better than themselves.
While the two parties are fighting with each other, in the hidden corner of the factory... An orange-masked man with a spiral pattern focused on the right eye was wearing a long black cloak with red clouds, a red interior, and a chin-high collar similar to the uniform that the Akatsuki from the anime Naruto wore.
It was Otto, cosplaying as Tobi/Obito Uchiha. As he materialized the entire cosplay using his authority, including the Sharingan contact lens.
"That Origin powers of yours sure do come in real handy, when changing clothes..." Brynhildr wondered why hadn't he used it before to make clothes for himself back then.
"I just recently found out that, things that don't have any unique effects don't really use any energy. Oh, and I can also infinitely make money with this."
Clothes and money were no longer a problem for him who, always liked to stay clean.
"So you're going to be hiding your identity... Makes sense since the white hair boy might tell Lavinia Reni about the deed you're going to do..."
Brynhildr was curious how the newfound ability he got from the arrowhead works as from the explanation she got, sounded really overpowered.
"Let's see, what tone of voice should I use..."
He tried different kinds of tones, referring from a cute anime voice impression to a manly tone like from Jojo's Bizarre Adventures.
"Ora?"
"Muda?"
"Dora?"
"Ho? This? This sounds good." He smiled under the mask. His voice sounded like Funny Valentine from Jojo part 7.
"My heart and actions are—...hehe. Dojyaaa~n!"
"Perfect."
"How can you change your voice that easily without any practice?" She asked thinking that he didn't use any of his unusual ability with it.
"I don't know. I just know how to do it."
He shrugged as he could also do this from his past life. Shame he didn't become a voice actor as he could easily get it if only he wasn't that lazy to do it.
"Ehhh."
"Anyways, the fight is going to be over soon. I should do my cool anime entrance." He looks at the Magicians getting brutally murdered by the duo.
...
"What a waste of time... Training is much worth doing than this." Vali scoffed after they'd dealt with the stray magicians.
"You're the one who decided to join up with me on this mission." Tobio Ikuse sighed at Vali's words.
"Hey, I thought that you would want to have a fight with me." Said with annoyance as he interpreted Tobio's invitation as a fight.
"Hello, gentlemen." Otto butt into their conversation without warning and they immediately went on alert, after hearing his voice just a few meters behind them.
"Who the hell are you!?" Vali glared as he was scared by his sudden appearance.
"Are you one of them?" Tobio remained calm and secretly summoned his black dog from the shadows.
'Mmmmm... As much as I want to have a Pokémon battle with your Canis Lykaon against my Divine General Mahoraga. But I'm afraid I can't let that happen since chances are. You two might know about him already from the festival.'
"I am Satoru Akefu. And no, I'm not one of the magicians, I swear to the bone of my sword." Otto replies.
"Then what's with the shady mask?"
"Oh, I'm just a reporter of the night... So if you don't give me a good and interesting explanation of your cool sacred gears now... Or else..."
"Or else what!?" Vali wasn't interested in wasting his time.
"I'll sus you two out to the authorities," Otto stated seriously, making Tobio think that he was just playing around.
"Tsk, let's just erase this guy's memories."
"It can't hurt to hear the guy out right?" Tobio is the good guy that he is. He decides to entertain Otto's game.
"Hmph, the guy is already suspicious enough. And you still want to listen? Tsk, have it your way then. You better make it quick." Vali responded in an unfriendly tone.
"Okay, I will gentlemen," Otto replied in a happy tone as he was going to get an easy Longinus of his life.
"So get on with it."
"So the first question..."
