Chapter 1: Prologue 1: A dream

Looking at the distant figure approaching a man who had entered our village, without anything but some clothes and a sword, disappearing into the village chief's house

Tomorrow I saw him again, now residing in one of the houses, in his backyard one hand grasped a sheathed while the other grasped the hilt.

Every day until then, he sheathed the sword and returned it to the sheath only to repeat the action.. again... and again.

This useless action repeated without cause or reason, I tried to call him several time but only met with silence as he kept sheathing and un-sheathing his sword.

Spring came around.

Summer made its day.

Fall arises.

Winter came yet, seemingly unbothered by anything, he sheathed and un-sheathed in repeat.

"What an undying will you have mr" I called out, and for once, he stopped his repeated action and looked at me, his eyes were dark like the abyss itself, yet I could see fire outlining his dark eyes

"!ee& H^@ !@f&*"

"What? Was that dream"

~~~
Opening my eyes, a familiar ceiling greeted my eyes.
"What was that dream?" Recalling the black-haired man sheathing and unsheathing his sword
"Akaal! wake up, we're about to have breakfast ready" A voice of middle-aged women resonated downstairs promptly breaking my train of thought.
"Coming!"
--
"Something on your mind?" A blond woman with good features asked seeing my perplexed face.
"A-h it's nothing, I just had a strange dream" I laughed a little at my strange reply.
"hmm, don't worry if it's a dream then it's probably nothing to worry about" Hearing her reassurance, I shook my head and realized I was probably stupid to think that dream meant anything.
Our household is comprised of 3 members. my mother, father and I lived in Springvale, close to Mohdstadt, the city of freedom.
Though met by pure chance, my mother, a huntress, saved my father, a wandering merchant, by a bunch of roaming hilichurls.
They both fell in love instantly and married each other and now I was the result of their accidental encounter.
Even still, my father's passion for being a merchant still holds strong, so he sometimes goes on journeys and usually comes home with exotic products he exchanged.
Before I was born, my mom used to go with him, but now worried about me facing danger she retired and settled here.
"Knock knock" A familiar voice came from the front door, and my mom instantly grinned.
"Who's there"
"aww you don't even recognize my voice dear" The door opened revealing a wealthy-looking man with black hair and a slightly fat stomach and my mom went to kiss him.
"Oh Tom, of course, I recognized you, even in a crowd of thousands I can still hear your voice" Pink aura surrounded those two, absorbed in their worlds.
My mood dropped but I swallowed my complaint as I had gotten used to seeing those two become inseparable.
After a round of complementing each other, my dad seemed to remember something and retreated to his carriage, where he retrieved several goods.
"Guess what, I managed to enter Inazuma and traded there!" He laid several goods, saplings of pink trees, figurines of a certain archon but one item seems to catch my eye.
A sword originating from Inazuma, though it still sheathed, my heart raced for unknown reasons, every fiber of my body told me to grab it.
Dad who saw my intense gaze, tracked it to the sword and smiled, picking up the sword he handed it over to me.
"It seems you want the sword, take it, son" Tom knew his son, though he was not a problem child, he couldn't say he was a normal one as well.
As long as he could remember, this child of his was mature, even as a baby he never cried randomly and only cried when he needed to be breastfed.
After asking around several people they never experienced something similar, even as a grown child he never asked for anything even after being offered many goodies he got all across the land.
Seeing him like this was a first and it was his job to realize that he was still a teenager, and still had desires.
Akaal was speechless for a moment but a smile grew on his face hugging the sword.
"Thanks, Dad!"
"No problem kiddo, it's your papa's job to get you what you want!" a heavy slap on the back came as the atmosphere became jolly.
--
After finishing my breakfast I rushed to the backyard to examine the sword I got.
With a metallic sheen, it came out smoothly from its sheath, squiggly lines were across the metal surface.
sheathing it completely, I recall the stance, the man I saw in my dream took, left hand on the sheath, left leg back, and right leg on the front.
I grasped my other hand to the hilt and took a deep breath, every fiber of my being was beating hard, burning as if telling me to un-sheath it.
*Shing* I pulled on the hilt and cut the air in front of me
"Huff, huff" Sweat built not from the single swing but from the fire building up inside of me.
But...
Something was missing. Re-sheathing the sword and performing it again, it was the same, like a missing piece of an invisible puzzle it was frustrating to try to find where is the last piece.
So I repeated the action of Sheathing, striking, and Re-sheathing. Even if the sweat built up even more, I felt unsatisfied, even after my muscles ached from my repeated action, Something was missing!
"aal! Akaal!" My focus was cut as my mom's worried voice resonated, darkness overtook my vision as I realized the sun already set.
"Oh huff, sorry Mom I lost track of time" I tried to move but a slight headache overtook me as my vision began to blur before I fainted into unconsciousness.
