Chapter 16: No, I Won’t Let Him Take My Children Away From Me
Rosalina walked to the elevator, while some workers in the company whispered and gossiped;
"Do you think this is the first time a lady comes to Mr. Gu with no deal or business relationship? I think the lady has close friendships with him." One man said.
"Do you know she is the new brand ambassador of Gu Best company owned by our boss?" Another lady said.
"I thought she was a model from California, maybe she is Korean American, but she wasn't exactly well-known when our boss personally selected her to be his brand ambassador out of all the popular models that could be the best for the company, but he chose her. She must have a genuine friendship with him, but I doubt that. We all know that Mr. Gu has never been seen with a woman, you know." The lady from earlier said that while they all gossip about Rosalina and their CEO.
Rosalina, who was so angry, didn't care about their looks and took the elevator, leaving the company.
Assistant Hyun tried to drive her home safely, but she refused; "you don't have to bother yourself. I'll find my way back home," Rosalina said softly and walked down to get a taxi. She took the taxi home and entered the house with a squeezed face.
"You're home," Suzy said but Rosalina ignored her and went into her room.
Suzy followed her in, saying, "What's the deal with you?" Suzy asked and sat next to her on the bed.
"He is truly the father of my children," Rosalina said and frowned.
"Wow, you mean Mr Gu Won, that stinky rich billionaire, is the father of your children?" Suzy asked and looked up at Rosalina, who sneered and rolled her eyes.
"I don't like him. How dare he want to claim my children? No, I won't let him take my children away from me." Rosalina said angrily.
"What do you mean? You have to stop this okay? He is the father of the twins, he has the right to know them. You have to give him a chance to take responsibility for the twins and he'll probably accept you with the kids as well." Suzy said.
"I don't want that. I'm fine and living well with the kids, so they don't need him," Rosalina said angrily.
"You can't be like that, you know? I hope you reconsider and think well about this." Suzy said, but Rosalina didn't say anything afterward and was lost in her thoughts.
"If he wants to take my children from me, he will have to try hard because I won't easily let him. I'll take them back to California." Rosalina said and frowned.
"You must be kidding, right? What's wrong with you Rose, he's their father, do you think you'll be able to escape forever? Aren't you sick of hearing your children asking you about their father? Do you have to be so cruel to them? Suzy scolded Rosalina.
"Hey, stop it, Suzy. Is it okay for me to give away my children to him? I can't do it." Rosalina said vehemently.
"Do what you like. Suzy said and left Rosalina's room angrily.
Rosalina's eyes shed tears.
She cried because she didn't want her children to be taken away or separated from her children.
"what can I do? Now that I know the father of my children but he wants them, when there is no love or friendship between us, how can he even tell his family about the kids? I don't only want my children to be taken away from me, but I also don't want them to experience what it's like to be some illegitimate children to their father or his family. What do I do now? Rosalina said and cried.
"If you're afraid of that, you'll have to talk it out with their father. I can understand what your intentions mean, but the kids will know their father soon or later, and I wouldn't want you to be the bad mother to them if they find out you're hiding them away from their father." Suzy said from behind making Rosalina look shocked.
"I thought you were enraged and left," Rosalina said and looked up at Suzy with her tears.
Suzy smiled a little. She sat next to her and touched her shoulder;
"I can't leave you like that, you know? I'm mad at you because you're stubborn, but I'm able to understand you, as a mother who loves her kids, because I know what you're going through, and it's not the right thing for me to be mad with you when I need to be there for you." Suzy said, causing Rosalina to sniff back her tears.
"Don't worry. Don't think too much about it now, we'll know what to do about it later," Suzy said.
Rosalina nodded her head and embraced her with tears; "Thank you." She muttered.
"Come on, let's make dinner for the kids. Tomorrow, I will leave early for office work. You know I will start working with my older brother in Dad's company." Suzy said smiling.
"Oh, wow. So your dad accepted you back to the company. It's a good thing, uh, right?" Rosalina said.
"Yeah, right. Since I'm now a married woman, he doesn't need me to marry his best friend's son anymore." Suzy said.
"That sounds good, then," Rosalina said and smiled as Suzy pulled her up.
"Get up now, we have to prepare so much for dinner today," Suzy said and chuckled.
They walked out together with Rosalina to the kitchen.
After dinner, Rosalina put her children to bed and made sure she told Joon Ah her night story and sang a night lullaby to Joon Woo before they went to sleep. She adjusted the bed cover to cover the two and left their room to her own.
Suzy was already asleep when she stepped into her room.
Rosalina shook her head and covered her best friend with the duvet before laying down next to Suzy and closing her eyes to sleep.

Lee Gu Won walked into the house and met Grandma Lee in the living room so he walked to her.
"Grandma, huh?" Lee Gu Won called and sat next to her.
"You are back? I thought you weren't coming here today. Grandma Lee said smiling.
"I worked till night today, and you know my mansion is too far from the company, and I'm too drained to drive for long, so I decided to come home today." Lee Gu Won said and kissed her.
"How about my grandchildren, you told us about? Are you deceiving us?" Grandma Lee said and frowned.
Lee Gu Won chuckled lightly;
"No Grandma, I can't lie about it. I'm still working on it, but I'll make sure to bring them with me next week." Lee Gu Won said.
"Alright. Bring them with their mother." Grandma Lee said.
"Okay, Grandma. I'm tired, okay? I promise you'll see them next week." Lee Gu Won said looking tired.
"Okay, go and rest. Good night." Grandma Lee said and smiled.
"Why are you still here, this late? You should go and relax your back." Lee Gu Won said and escorted his grandma up and took her to the door to her room.
"I'll go to my room and sleep now, good night." Lee Gu Won said. He left her walking in the direction of his room.

The next day...
Rosalina woke up early with Suzy and prepared breakfast for the little family.
"Since you're going to work, you should eat," Rosalina said and served Suzy some food. Suzy smiled and started eating;
"I'll call you as soon as I can when I get home. Be good with your kids okay?" Suzy said and stood up to leave after she finished eating.
"Okay. Thank you for your time with me and the children." Rosalina said and smiled sweetly.
"Stop it. We are friends like sisters. Since my husband is away on a business trip, I should pay you and your children a visit and spend quality time with you, because that's what we call friendship like family." Suzy said smiling.
"Thank You, Suzy. I love you." Rosalina said pouting and embraced her warmly before leaving.
"Bye. Take care of yourself." Rosalina said, and Suzy left to return to her respective home.

Rosalina's two nannies returned to work.
"Good morning, Madam Rose." the nanny greeted and smiled politely."
"Can I have a cup of tea?" Rosalina said to one of the nannies.
"Yes ma'am." One of the nannies said and walked to the kitchen to brew her tea.
"I have somewhere to go, please take care of the children, they shouldn't leave the house or go out with anyone," Rosalina told the other maid.
"We will make sure of that ma'am, please be rest assured." The maids said politely, and then the doorbell rang.
"Please check the door," Rosalina said and walked to the living room and sat on the couch.
The maid walked to the door and opened it, revealing Rosalina's manager, who walked inside to Rosalina in the living room.
