Chapter 10: The Mature Lady and the Innocent Girl

As night fell and the red moon rose high in the sky, guests at the small banquet began to depart. After seeing off a few important guests, Glaint returned to Hastur and Fors ' side.

Seeing the two in lively conversation, without a hint of awkward silence, he couldn't help but laugh, "I was worried you two wouldn't have anything in common to talk about."

"The dessert tonight was quite good."

"I thought it was excellent as well."

With each person chiming in, Grelint's smile grew even brighter as he said, "Let's go, we can talk more in the study."

Passing through the garden and the living room, the three entered the second-floor study. A sensible servant closed the door and stood guard not too far away. Grelint, sitting behind the desk, said, "After spending some time together, I believe you've gotten to know each other, right?"

"Hmm, Baron Campbell is a very wise… scholar," Fors pondered for a moment before giving such an appraisal.

"Miss Fors is also an excellent writer and an extraordinary person."

Hastur gave a simple evaluation, but added in his heart: Except for being too much of a salted fish.

Glaintwas very pleased with this and asked eagerly, "I've been thinking about becoming an extraordinary person myself. Could you give me some useful advice?"

Fors looked at Hastur, signaling him to answer first.

Hastur thought for a moment and said, "I think the path of the Moon as a pharmacist suits you best."

"Pharmacist? Path of the Moon?"

Glaintlooked puzzled, not quite understanding the meaning of these terms.

Fors , on the other hand, was slightly surprised; not every extraordinary person could understand the supernatural paths so well.

"There are many supernatural paths, but not every one is suitable for choosing. Considering your situation, I think the path of the Moon as a pharmacist is the most suitable for you."

Hastur knew Glaintstill didn't understand and patiently explained, "The extraordinary beginning sequence 9 on the path of the Moon is the pharmacist, a sequence with the power to concoct magical medicines."

"For example, they can easily cure diseases declared terminal by hospitals, and they can also concoct aphrodisiacs for the bedroom, enhancing certain… endurance."

"Even among extraordinary people, pharmacists are a very popular group."

The more Glaintlistened, the brighter his eyes shone, clearly taken by the pharmacist's extraordinary abilities.

Standing up eagerly, he asked, "Then how do I obtain the pharmacist's potion formula?"

"As far as I know, the path of the Moon originates from the bloodline. If you can find the hidden bloodline, it won't be difficult to obtain the pharmacist's potion formula."

"Bloodline, pharmacist potion formula…"

Glaintmuttered to himself, then turned his gaze to Fors .

"I'll try to look for it, and if I find anything, I'll come and inform you."

Fors took on the task, as she couldn't let Hastur handle everything, which would make her seem too useless as an extraordinary person.

From what she learned from Grelint, this Baron Campbell had not yet become an extraordinary person.

As for whether she could find the bloodline, she wasn't worried. If she couldn't find it, then so be it; it would just mean earning a little less money.

"Very good, hahaha…"

Glaintlaughed heartily, his mood very pleasant.

After pursuing the mystic arts for so long, wasn't it to become an extraordinary person with supernatural abilities?

A pharmacist, skilled in concocting medicines, capable of enhancing that aspect of ability—it was an irresistible temptation.

After laughing, he looked at Hastur and asked, "Do you also plan to become a pharmacist?"

"I want to think about it more, I'm also interested in the abilities of other extraordinary people."

"That's good too." Glaintnodded and then asked, "Did you witness Miss Fors ' extraordinary ability just now?"

"Not yet."

Fors understood the implication of their words and didn't mind showing them a bit of the extraordinary.

She walked slowly to the door, extended her right palm to the doorknob, and then, like a phantom, easily passed through the door.

After a while, Fors opened the door from the outside and walked in.

Even though Glainthad seen such magical abilities more than once, he was still shocked.

Hastur remained calm, his eyes showing a hint of envy.

If it weren't for the fact that the path of the Sog family was too dangerous and also belonged to the pathway of the Lord of Mysteries, he would definitely choose to become an apprentice.

The ability to travel anywhere through space doors in the later stages was too enticing.

"Sequence 9 Apprentice." Hastur revealed the path Fors was on.

It was to give Fors a bit of a shock, but also to make Glaire ntunderstand that befriending him was very valuable.

He actually knows my path?

His knowledge of the mystic arts is indeed profound.

Fors was indeed surprised, but she quickly became indifferent.

If people knew, then they knew. After all, she rarely took action, and she didn't even want to leave her room.

After chatting for a while longer, Fors soon took her leave.

If it weren't for the purpose of getting to know the Rune nobility, to seek overt help in the future, she wouldn't choose to leave her room to attend such a complex gathering.

Fortunately, the night's gains were not small, with praiseworthy desserts and meeting a young baron deeply versed in mystic studies.

After Fors left, Grelint's tone became more casual, teasing, "Did you provoke Mrs. Gemanie?"

"…"

Hastur looked at him in surprise. Had Mrs. Gemanie's behavior become so blatant?

"Haha, the Rune nobility circle isn't that big; these romantic anecdotes are the easiest to spread when drinking. She has asked other noble ladies to inquire about your recent situation."

Glaintsaid, sizing up Hastur, and sighed, "If I had your outstanding appearance, I could have a wonderful encounter every night."

Discussing such risqué topics privately was a sign of good rapport.

Hastur knew this well and didn't shy away, "Mrs. Gemanie is indeed a very tempting woman, but I prefer those pure and innocent girls. They are as pure as crystals, endearing and lovable."

Glaintcame over, put his arm around Hastur's right shoulder, and clicked his tongue, "Hastur, as someone who has been through it, I must warn you, mature ladies are far better than innocent girls."

Before Hastur could retort, he continued, "The feelings of girls are very sincere and pure, they can't tolerate a speck of dust. If you provoke them and they fall deeply in love, they will definitely force you to marry them, otherwise, they might seek death, which can seriously affect your reputation."

"Mature ladies, on the other hand, are like ripe grapes, sweet and juicy, and the key is they are not clingy and know how to take care of people better."

"Mrs. Gemanie's reputation is still good, and she is a rare beauty. You really should try to get in touch with her; it will open the doors to a new world for you."

Hastur thought for a moment, shook his head, and smiled, "Grelint, I don't agree with your view. When we are young, we naturally pursue beautiful girls of the same age. When we are older, we can try other possibilities."

"When we are young, we try mature ladies, and when we are older, do we go back to pursuing young girls? If we only eat ripe grapes all the time, won't we miss the taste of green and naive ones?"

"So I always feel that life doesn't need to be too hasty. We should slowly enjoy the beauty that each age brings, otherwise, we might regret it when we are old."

Glaintlet let out a light 'huh', obviously touched by Hastur's words, released his arm, stood aside, and fell into thought.

"You have a point, I have indeed missed some experiences that should have been beautiful."

"Grelint, you are still young."

Glaint smiled, feeling more and more that having Hastur as a close friend was a very worthwhile thing.

After a while, Hastur also took his leave. He didn't have the interest in staying up late to discuss these ambiguous topics with Grelint, especially since they were always discussing these unclear topics.

Returning to his own home, Hastur lay on his familiar bed, pulled the blanket gently over his chest, and didn't feel like sleeping just yet.

Tonight's banquet indeed gave him a more direct understanding of noble life.

The Rune nobility is quite reserved, but when it comes to private matters, they are passionate.

Grelint's words were obviously more numerous than before, and his interaction with himself was more relaxed and casual, especially when talking about Mrs. Gemanie.

Just thinking about Mrs. Gemanie's covetous gaze, he couldn't help but sigh.

It's annoying, having to smile when meeting her, maintaining a gentle and elegant gentlemanly demeanor.

I really want to digest the potion soon and advance to the sequence 8 barbarian.

If Mrs. Gemanie made any dangerous moves, he would have the ability to protect himself, and of course, it would be even better if he could secretly give her a beating.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, so he decided to vent his anger on the genie lamp!

Soon, Hastur fell asleep, his astral body arriving at the Star Hall, once again finding the star representing the genie.

Without hesitation, he lashed out with a whip, sending it flying once more.

This time, he didn't leave immediately but deliberately stared at the phantom of the wishing lamp.

Imagining the genie's frustrated demeanor, his mood improved significantly.

With his thoughts clear, he was ready to sleep.
