Chapter 4: 1.4
"If you are thirsty, what are you doing on the second floor instead of the kitchen on the first floor? If I remember correctly, the servants' quarters is outside the main building and has everything."
Gu Shenyi felt sweat dripping down her back and her hand flailed around even more. What should she say? That she was in Yu Huateng's room having an affair?
Gu Shenyi felt bitter about the situation. Why did things become like this? Did she really want to keep becoming someone else's mistress. And this person even has a fiancée.
Gu Shenyi looked at Yu Huateng silently, her expression complicated and pleading.
Yu Huateng took Wei Ying's shoulder and guided her into the room, "Don't worry about her. You shouldn't care about the likes of her. Most definitely she's here to seduce me. She thinks she can fly the branches and become a phoenix." Yu Huateng scoffed, his expression disgusted and disdainful.
Gu Shenyi flinched and the color drained from her face. Just a few minutes ago, this man was holding her close, kissing her gently, and moving wildly in her body. How can he turn his back now and say she seduced him? How could he hurt her like this? How could he be this merciless? How could he?
Wei Ying looked at Yu Huateng's arrogant face and suggested slyly, "Why not fire her then? Only this morning, you warned her to not try seducing you again but she already disobeyed and not a day later she tried again."
Wei Ying widened her eyes innocently. She wanted to see what this male lead to keep his female lead close.
Yu Huateng fell silent before holding Wei Ying's face in his big hands and looking at her with serious eyes, "Yu'er, we can't fire her. She is sent by a business rival of mine. I need to keep her close to see what they are planning to do. I can even use her to deal some damage to my rival. Yu'er, do you understand what I am thinking?"
Wei Ying held Yu Huateng's hands on her face and looked at him with worry, "Big Brother Teng, you have to be careful. My heart won't be able to take it if something happens to you. Big Brother Teng, promise me you will be fine, okay?"
Yu Huateng kissed Wei Ying's forehead again, "I will be fine. I promise you, my little fiancé. I will be careful and will always stay by your side till we grow old and white-haired."
Wei Ying breathed a sigh of relief and obediently followed Yu Huateng's movement and lay down in her bed.
Wei Ying watched Yu Huateng turn to leave and held his hand, "Big Brother Teng, what is this?"
Wei Ying looked at the hickey doubtfully and watched Yu Huateng carefully.
Yu Huateng froze, his eyes whirled in their sockets and he replied lightly, "It's a mosquito bite. I will put some ointment when I go back."
A mosquito? A human mosquito? Did she really look this stupid in Yu Huateng's eyes? How did Shi Yuxi stand it when Yu Huateng thought of her as mentally retarded.
And this hickey. Did Gu Shenyi leave it on purpose?
Recalling Gu Shenyi's earlier look of jealousy, Wei Ying had a solid reason to believe the female lead did it purposefully. Jealousy was a scary monster.
"Don't forget to spray some repellent." Wei Ying said lightly.
"I will," Yu Huanteng stroked Wei Ying's head one last time before leaving.
Wei Ying smiled and waved at Yu Huateng.
After the door closed, the smile fell from Wei Ying's face and she headed to the bathroom and washed her face and forehead for a good while.
Looking at this small delicate face, Wei Ying snorted. Yu Huateng really didn't know how to lie. He took all women for idiots and thought his pathetic lies could fool them.
Was he really this naïve or just too confident Shi Yuxi loved him too much to suspect him and even if she suspected him, she would swallow her doubts and find excuses for him.
Wei Ying washed her face one last time before heading to her bed and sleeping.
Early the next day, Wei Ying headed downstairs.
What greeted her was the sight of Gu Shenyi kneeling on the cold floor and wiping the floor with a piece of cloth.
Wei Ying: -__-
Did the Yu family not have cleansing tools for Gu Shenyi to just have a bucket and a piece of white cloth?
Really, logic flies out of the window as long as the leads are involved.
Seeing Yu Huateng also heading downstairs, Wei Ying looked at him with a troubled expression, "Big Brother Teng, are there no cleaning tools for the servants to use? It's not practical to kneel like this. Cold will enter her bones and she will get sick."
Yu Huateng looked at Gu Shenyi lightly before looking away, unconcerned. "Don't care about her. She can kneel and wipe the floor if she wants."
Wei Ying looked in disapproval at Yu Huateng but didn't say more.
Yu Huateng nodded in satisfaction. Yu'er really knew when to retreat and advance. That's the kind of woman that deserved to be by his side. Full of grace and thoughtfulness.
Gu Shenyi bowed her head. Her waist hurt her like crazy and that place was faintly burning. Yu Huateng really didn't hold back.
Gu Shenyi blushed at the thought before paling and smiling bitterly. She was nothing but a maid in this house. Yu Huateng didn't care about her. No one liked her here. She was all alone.
Gu Shenyi became firm and her fists clenched around the wet cloth. She came to this house for revenge, and she would take it no matter what.
It didn't matter even if everyone disliked her in this house.
Wei Ying sat across Yu Huateng in the garden as they had breakfast.
The breeze was gentle on Wei Ying's cheek and she felt quite happy. She could finally eat without Gu Shenyi's always sad face.
It was seriously ducking unbearable watching her face always morphing into misery.
Wei Ying sipped her orange juice before talking to Yu Huateng, "Big Brother Teng, your birthday is coming soon. We should start preparing. Should we hold a small party this time or a big one?"
"I want to invite some of my business partners."
"So, a big party that is," Wei Ying nodded, "Should we add a theme to lighten the atmosphere? It would be more beneficial to nurture good relations."
"Yu'er, I want to do all the preparations. I trust your taste. I know you're thoughtful and have discretion and keenness when it comes to these things."
Wei Ying curled her lips lightly and looked at Yu Huateng softly and sweetly. In the end, didn't he just want her to slave for him and not bother him about these things?
Yu Huateng has always been like this with Shi Yuxi. Whenever he didn't like doing something, he would throw it at her, praise her, and say some high-sounding words.
Shi Yuxi always ate this set.
After all this and after Shi Yuxi did the best for him and after she accommodated him, he knew she was pushed off the stairs but didn't do anything to avenge her.
Yu Huateng only thought that his kitten had many secrets and felt the urge to do this and that with Gu Shenyi.
Yu Huateng even had the audacity to give Shi Yuxi's room and jewelry to that little three Gu Shenyi.
This kind of man, this kind of couple, she felt very much the urge to off them off the face of the earth.
"Thank you, Big Brother Teng," Wei Ying bowed her head lightly, "I am glad I can be of use to you."
Yu Huateng's eyes were full of doting as he said, "Even if you don't do anything, I think you're enough. You don't need to do anything for me to love you. I love you as you are."
Wei Ying had goosebumps rising on her arms. Yu Huateng really knew how to sweet talk. He was an expert in this field.
"I know you will love me no matter what, but I still want to help you with whatever I can to help you and lessen your burden. This is the least I can do to feel deserving of you." Wei Ying cringed by the end of her moving speech. However, her spiel seemed to have worked as Yu Huateng looked more comfortable with satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
After exchanging some sweet words, Yu Huateng left.
While passing by the hall, Yu Huateng paused.
Gu Shenyi was still kneeling on the ground and wiping the floor. Her butt moved from side to side, creating a dongdong-raising sight.
Yu Huateng was hot all over as he watched the tight skirt trace Gu Shenyi's curves. He tasted that body and knew how sweet it was.
