Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Third Honkai Eruption

Xuan stared at Kiana for a moment, weighing her request.

At first, it was an odd request to him, but observing the earnestness in her expression, he relented.

Kneeling with one knee, Xuan nudge over at Kiana, telling her to hop on. Kiana nodded softly; her expression was a change of that of her normal tuna days.

'Haah, what have I gotten myself into.' He exhaled softly, though it was somewhat weird, but as long as Kiana wants it.

That was all that mattered.

Of course, passersby were given them strange stares, some where even taking pictures codded.

But Xuan didn't care.

They would be gone in few days—or rather, anytime from now.

Ruthless? Maybe he was. Or is it perhaps the fact he still sees this world as a fictional world?

In some ways, maybe he hasn't fully woken up from his dream.

Afterall, his life since getting here has been way too easy.

He was literally living life on easy mode.

Not only is he an halfling of a powerful entity that can level cities easily, he also has a clingy Herrscher by his side, then a powerful, omnipotent system by his side.

It's only natural....

Meanwhile.

Raiden Mei.

The purple-haired girl trudged along the street, her head hanging low as if weighed down by invisible burdens.

Dark circles marred her delicate features.

Not only had she been suffering from sleepless nights, but she also endured recurring dreams of a desolate landscape consumed by destruction.

Not once, not twice, not trice.

Each time, an urge for destruction gnawed at her, but she always managed to suppress it.

Yet, that was not all, there is a persistent voice, living rent free in her head, disturbing her with its incessant whispers, urging her to give in to those impulses.

And even now, as she walked along the peaceful roads of Nagazora, those suppressed urges resurfaced.

"Kuh," she muttered, struggling to suppress them once again, as she hugged her body.

'How long... For how long are you going to continue this futile struggle?' As she supressed them, a voice echoed from deep within her mind, as it always did.

"...." Silent, Mei didn't respond, but she silently bit her lips.

The first time she had an interaction with that voice. The voice called itself the 'other' her, and ever since then, she has been hearing whispers of the voice that claimed it was the other her.

'....'

'Hmph.'

Continuing her way, not paying mind to the annoying voice within, she continued her way to school like that.

With eery slow and creepy steps.

"Oh? You? You're always early, now, hurry up inside before I close the gate." The gateman kindly allowed her in, but she didn't even spare him a glance.

She continued in that motion.

This was the first time she would be late to school, but that wasn't even in her mind now. She went just like that, to the rooftop directly, rather than her classroom.

She went to the spot her and Kiana always have their lunch at.

"Ah... now that I think of it," she murmured to herself.

Another person named Xuan had recently entered her life. Similar to Kiana, but without the clinginess, he had also been kind to her.

"Why?" She had always wondered.

The boy, even though it was Kiana always dragging him. He addresses her respectfully and kindly.

But now...

She was losing it.

She couldn't stay conscious anymore.

Her body slumped on the floor, her consciousness sinking.

And thus began the advent of the THIRD HONKAI ERUPTION.

Instantly, the sunny clouds and morning sun were overwritten by dark clouds and loud purple lightning.

It happened all so quickly, as everybody, whether they be in work, school, driving, all looked at the dark clouds and purple lightning looming over their city.

The world around Nagazora seemed to fall silent for a few minutes, before—

CRASH!

"KYAAA!!!"

"Help! What is this!"

"Mommy!"

Humanoid creatures appeared from nowhere on the streets and main roads of Nagazora.

These humanoid creatures were mindless zombie who bit people.

A distinctive feature they had were the purple lines running across their bodies.

Most of the zombie like creatures were generally women as men reduced to nothing but ashes.

Some streets animals like cats, dogs, rats and mice turned massive eldritch creatures with purple lines around their bodies.

"—So, it has already started, huh? I thought it would take a few more days."

With a calm and lax attitude, Xuan strolled through the corridor as he swung his fist causally.

His fist connected with a flesh, as the flesh burst into purple substances which splattered everywhere.

It was a measly Zombie that had approached him. And with a causal punch from the pseudo-Herrscher, it died a horrible death.

After getting to the end of the hallway, he looked out the window, as a frown crossed his face.

"It's literally apocalypse."

"Maybe if I can get a dimensional portal, I would like to go to some other worlds to cause apocalypse over there too."

Even his sense of humor at a time like this was crude.

As Xuan was in his own immersion.

Kiana on the other hand had searched the entire building for Mei, and after some minutes, she headed towards the rooftop.

There, Mei was...

Floating in the air, her eyes cold as she stared at Kiana who shivered slightly.

"The dream... dammit!"

"Mei-senpai!" Kiana called out to Mei, only to receive no response.

'In the end, it came down to this huh?'

Kiana thought frustratedly as she saw a bat miraculously lying on the ground.

Picking it up, she pointed it towards Mei.

Elsewhere.

In a far distance, at the top of a high-rise building a silver-haired petite girl secretly observed everything going on in Chiba Academy though a binocular.

"Mother, the Third Herrscher has awakened, should I carry out the recovery plan." Picking up a walkie-talkie, she spoke into it.

"No, wait, Bronya, it's not the time yet." A voice came from the walkie-talkie answering the young girl.

[Editor's Note]:

Ugh, was supposed to release 3 today then 3 on another day, but I've been busy.

I would only get more busy from now one, but I'll try to at least do one chapter per day if it's that hectic.

So, you might have noticed, yes! A lot of changes were made, but it's still following the og.

I hope you like the extras I added, and if not, lemme know so I can correct em or strictly stick with the og.
